December 2019 Riven Disposition Updates

Quit nerfing rivens, almost everyone I know has quit playing because of this crap. You don't even nerf them to balance the weapon. Fulmin is mediocre at best and Pyrana is absolute trash past level 100.. WHY do you keep nerfing these weapons? Have you ever stopped to think.. hey, maybe people use these weapons because they are fun/look good? If more weapons fit the design aesthetics players want and actually performed decently you would see more variety being used.

It's no wonder why players are leaving the game in droves. You're nerfing all the hard work people put into acquiring these rivens at end game. It's literally the only thing that keeps people playing this game and you continue to abuse the veteran players.

Stick to buffing stuff and stop nerfing things that don't need to be nerfed. DE is already getting a terrible reputation for this and I can't even defend this game anymore.

Probably not even excluding people using a weapon with a riven with the how popular a weapon is.

Personally i'm missing the era of warframe where i could copy someones build i see i liked without seeing a mod that i will never get anything close to the same of.

How comes things like Tysis get nerfed and Acrid or Stug never get buffed? Both these weapons also have been neglected in the great Weapon Rebalance. What's going on?

DONT TOUCH the acrid

god i may accept they kill all kitguns and fulmin and all god weapon but GOD forgive me if they touch the acrid

It would be nice if you took a look at "low MR bad, but fun" weapons like the Twin Grakatas, which are still at around disposition 1 despite them being rather subpar.

Last time I checked, which is pretty recently, Twin Grakatas were at dispo 4... I should know, I got a riven for them : p

Love the people complaining about these.  They've been changing dispositions for almost a year now and people still act surprised at meta weapons getting nerfed.

The thing is that some of these are not meta. What makes you think that spectra vandal is meta? What makes you think Gaze is meta? When do you see people using the Prisma Twin Gremlins? And many more things that got a dispo nerf that should have been left alone. Although there are many people on the forums that say things like you just did, so they can get angry replies back. So I shouldn't be surprised. Have fun licking DE's boot.

Rivens probably shouldn't even exist.

Considering the only thing Riven changes bring is anger from players who actually use them and make the people who don't use them all like "Hahaha take that you stupid fulmin meta users".

JUST LEAVE THE RIVENS ALONE!!!

😭😭😭

Greetings Tenno!

Due to the nature of the Empyrean update, we’re doing things a bit differently this time - Riven disposition changes originally intended for Prime Access are coming a little early, live right now on PC! For those that missed our previous Riven Workshop, this is our first time balancing dispositions per weapon instead of per weapon family, as this functionality was added with The Old Blood update. A few remarks on how we’ve chosen to undergo these changes:

  • Players made it clear that they don’t want situations where the base weapon can become stronger than the upgraded version - we don’t want that either, unless the stars align for a “perfect” roll that works better on an older weapon. Therefore, increases to old base weapons will be small and gradual, to ensure we don’t cross this fine line.
  • New weapon upgrades are still taken into consideration when adjusting the lesser base weapons, but to much less of an extent than before. Again, to avoid the situation described above, all adjustments must be somewhat relative.
  • Kuva weapons are intentionally untouched in this update, as their slow rate of acquisition has led to skewed stats. They will certainly be changed in our next wave of disposition adjustments.
  • For those that missed the announcement, we will also be adjusting melee dispositions in the NEXT Prime Access update, once Melee 3.0 stats have settled down.
  • Console players will get these changes in their upcoming Prime Access builds - thank you for your patience.

With all that said, here are the changes!

DE why is it that we can only use fun weapons at the expense of our rivens getting nerfed?

good thing i only use arca plasmor despite having a fulmin with a riven for it so i dont care to much about the nerf.

really wish the riven system actually was about being able to buff ANY weapon to endgame status even the S#&$ty ones like MK1-Braton or maybe Burstron Prime but as the system is now it just doesnt work unless they change the way disposition works, i love the idea of being able to spend like 400k kuva to make a personalized riven to turn any weapon into a beast (LATRON PRIME WILL RISE AGAIN!!! MWAHAHAHHA!!!) more reliably.

It's really stupid to adjust riven dispositions of the newest weapons in the game. There should be a grace period of a year after a new weapon comes out before their respective rivens receive any alterations. Of course new weapons will be popular, its natural. New things are popular.

Lowering riven dispositions of weapons like the current newest, like acceltra, or fulmin, would be the equivalent of not giving new songs air play, or new movies screen time because they have a popularity edge over songs and movies from 5 years ago.

Allow players some time to enjoy new additions and content before reducing their efficacy.

How is it possible that this hasn't been considered yet? You're putting in work, adding new weapons to the game, then immediately valuing their popularity against weapons that have been around for much longer. It's actually unfair treatment. Let the hype around the weapons die down, then get a baseline of the usage. Of course in the beginning while players are sticking 8 forma's into a weapon, then testing out their work in game, usage will be up.

All 3 weapons you mentioned are powerful weapons that I myself use with over 3K hours of playtime and I have rivens for all of them.  I'm not complaining about the changes.  I am not saying they are the best weapons in their class, but when they are used more their dispo goes down as it should be.  It's not like they invalidated my rivens by changing their disposition, I can still go out and melt anything with the 3 weapons you listed.  People want balance in this game and this is one of the few ways balance is provided because if they nerf a frame there's uproar over it, even a hint of an upcoming nerf causes uproar case in point saryn.  It's kind of funny how people complain about dispo changes when we still have warframes that are grossly overpowered without rivens at all like saryn can out DPS any weapon by clicking 2 buttons, mirage can with 1 button click, equinox killing many enemies with one button click, etc. etc.
