Are you crazy DE? Right now, on a Twitch official channel, it deletes the entire message in russian and gives out 10 minute bans. I just wanted to say hello to another user who wrote in russian and answered him “hello” (in Russian) and I was immediately banned, all messages in russian were deleted. Developers turned into russophobes right now or have they always been like that?

Or maybe they don't want the chat to devolve into everyone spamming crap in their own language?

How in the hell could they know whether they were greeting someone or throwing insults?

It's easier to moderate the chat when everyone is speaking English.

Because you can wright something offensive and by Twitch rules, DE (any streamer actually) is responsible for their viewers behavior. It is easier for them to forbid any language besides English than hire Russian and another 200 language speaking mods, although they kinda failed to state that clearly in chat rules:image.png

AND NOW: Im asked "Why you banned me for russian language"( IN ENGLISH!) and get ANOTHER 10 MINS BAN.

Unbelievably...

Asking why your banned when you know why you were banned is a wonderful way to get banned...

boy was that a mouthful...

Do to Twitch channels being responsible for their chat channels, it's quite reasonable to issue a 10 minute ban for using a language other than the one primarily spoken in the chat. Why? Because not everyone is going to have translators ready for that and they have every reason to worry that profanity is being thrown at them in different languages. As the Twitch is responsible for moderating their Twitch chat, they have to properly moderate it. They cannot properly moderate it if multiple languages are being used. Therefore, stick to the primary language being used.

Also, asking why you got banned most definitely can be considered spam.

Bottom line? If everyone is chatting in English, then use English. Use common sense here.

Without reading what the other people wrote... you could've writen ANYTHING in russian (very offensive, maybe illigal stuff.. maybe just promote a "adult site".
Shoud they let you write it and hope for the best or just go save?

In your case... they just went save

It was likely either a slow mode restriction (where you have a wait for a certain amount of time to pass before you can post again) or you were timed out because of spam or posted something offensive.

As we have no evidence of what you posted and only have your word that nothing offensive was posted, going to close this thread.

If you want to discuss the ban further then you should contact support.
