Catalyst/Reactor Alerts No More?

Well, the last Tactical Alert was the Halloween one in October, and Invasions are pure RNG and tend to go pretty fast, especially if it's a Reactor vs Forma or something. Could be possible you missed one, or that the RNG didn't roll our way.

Just get some Nightwave Creds and buy the Potatoes if you need one.

There has been Gift of the Lotus alerts

Rather than being tied to luck of when you're online,
players may now invest through small goals to receive them from Nightwave over a span of months.
We're effectively about to receive far more, through a persistent method.

Gift of the Lotus, Events, and Invasions, are still alternative alert avenues for these.

They haven't appeared since November 9th based on a Twitter search (may not be accurate!):

Well there you have it, completed after 6.16 hours. This is not a viable solution at all, such a time window inevitably screws over a lot of people due to real life schedule, time zones etc. Even 24 hour alerts are already questionably in their short duration.

Well, Nightwave has made getting reactors/catalysts far easier. Don't worry too much about Invasion missions.

We normally saw at least one reactor of some kind in alerts per week, upwards of 3 or 4 IIRC. Certainly there was FOMO over them but there's sites that update current alerts and you could even have the official app push notify them.

In nightwave it can take a week or two to earn enough credits to buy one reactor. And then you have next to no credits to buy anything else you might of wanted.

Depending what time of day/week you were on.

If it's the first week of a new Nightwave, you know for sure you can get one easy on the first cred bundle.
Then again on the next, 1 more later on, and another every 5 levels past 30.

And if you want something after a "potato"? there's no way to earn nightwave credits unless you blow past the final rank and then only get 15 credits per level after that. It's DE carefully controlling how many potatoes people can acquire while at the same time providing something nicer to the playerbase.

Tactical alerts do exist, and it just come when it should. For example Formorian/Razorback happens when Grineer/Corpus have their own invation guage.

As you know 'normal' alerts are obliterated into dust for good(save for gift of the Lotus, which is you can aware when it happens and have fixed and long duration). It should be because alert is toxic.
