Ember: Give Fireball Accelerant's Properties and Fireblast Should Cost No Energy

As the title says. Fireball as a mere damage skill has always been subpar. Even with the current (minor) changes, it fares poorly. If it made enemies more vulnerable to Heat (like Accelerant did), then it'd be used much more. Strike foes with Fireball and then use your other skills for maximum damage. Moreover, this has great synergies with her Fireball Frenzy augment: Tag an enemy, make them weaker to Heat, then hold to give Heat damage to you and allies.

For Fireblast, lower the energy cost OR, the higher the Immolation gauge, the cheaper the skill becomes (costs no energy if Ember is overheating)

Giving Ember any form of Accelerant would make her pretty broken. She already has 2 ways to boost her damage (Passive and Immolation) and strip armor(Fire Blast and Heat DoT). Accelerant existed only to bring up Heat damage, it's not necessary anymore. And you have to remember, Ember is an early star-chart frame, meaning, she needs a basic damage ability to start off with. Almost all old frames are like that. You shouldn't have to use all of her abilities all of the time. It definitely needs a better hitbox, but as a basic damage ability, it's fine.

As for Fire Blast, it 100% needs to cost less, but not free. It ruins her energy economy because of a single augment. Another solution is removing Immolation's exponential energy drain by having it cap at, maybe, 10-15 energy/s. That way, you don't need to spam Fire Blast.

A single target Accelerant is hardly broken though.

I never suggested it lose the damage aspect. Just add Heat sensitization on top of the attack.

It's not really fine, though. Hence the myriad of complains in the forums regarding its underwhelming performance. There is no good reason to ever use Fireball when Inferno and Fireblast are a thing. Moreover, your weapons vastly outdamage Fireball when it comes to single target damage. Again, all of her other abilities have some aspect to them besides damage:

Immolation boosts Fireball (still bad) Fireblast, Inferno's damage

Fireblast deals damage and strips armor.

Inferno deals damage and creates a fire aura that spreads through enemies

Fireball deals damage (badly) and has a ridiculously arbitrary and clunky charge functionality. Fireball is a bad skill.

Fireblast very easily strips 100% armour with almost no downtime, it has to cost something. If energy is at all an issue, just use her 4th’s augment with higher efficiency and quite literally never run out of energy.

I do agree that fireball could do with a tweak, but at the same time most of the elemental frames have S#&$ty 1st abilities. 3 out 4 brilliant abilities isn’t bad really. Also the augment for her first is actually pretty solid, especially for Eidolons/radiation builds
