Acrid is still the best primary, secondary, melee and Frame. Don't worry.

The synapse kicks acri'ds @ss when it comes to corpus so no, its not the best primary, secondary, or melle

Acrid DOT is applied to MOA backpacks, and so deals triple damage.

It also still kills Techs faster.

so Synapse is only better against about half the faction.

To be specific, it kicks Acrid's butt vs. Crewmen. There's still MOAs, which take triple damage from the Acrid because of the DoT hitting their torso.

Build the Acrid if you hate having fun.

I never really understood this view. I mean even if you choose one of the other boss killing tactics, bosses are a sub ten second experience when fully modded. The problem there seems less to be with the Acrid to me than it does with the enemies. I suppose I'd say that about a lot of the games issues right now though.

With Volt's shield Synapse might be the best gun in the game, but I haven't really tested it aside from melting lvl 70-80 infested with it in less than a second

Regardless of actual numbers Synapse is significantly easier to use due to not having 75% of its damage tied up in a DoT. Plus, it goes into a different slot so you can have both anyway.

Personal I put my ACRID on the shelf and started using dual vastos. I really wanted to give some type of challenge in the game instead of click click click die. ACRID is my go to boss destroyer of worlds weapon.

It only takes a light tap to even drop a level 130 fusion moa with a synapse. It not hard to hit any part of them with a synapse, it literally deep fries them with a glancing blow to their fanny pack or a .2 second tap to the face.

The more math I look at for acrid the more I think there is ZERO reason not to nerf it dps in half. The fact it can out damage even an electric weapon on corpus show it is broken.
