So What If...melee Was Actually Good...or Better?

to show how extremely underpowerd melee is right now, imagine this:

what if a weapon like the lets say cronus would have 75 base damage.
seems overpowered right? NO its not
you might be abel to kill some 30-40 enemies in one hit (fully modded)
but you´d be still f***ed if you would try to take down anything on a higher level...
a single lvl70 gunner could easily take you down or more than a single infested :/
right now the only viable melees there are for high tier are the zoren for mobility and theorthos prime or gallatine
THOSE weapons work.
because you actually deal damage
to fix this glaring porblem a simple buff for killing blow and pointstrike would be needed and POOF you could actually use it
buff both mods to max lvl 15
well...thats my suggestion....sorry for any bad english but man Id love to cut sum fools on high level ^^

I get what your trying to say, melee needs to be ''usefull'' and i agree. but a simple buff to killing blow and such wouldnt be enough. I think DE said they would re balance melee and such..

Melee is meant to be not as useful as gun play, so that players DECIDE to use their guns instead.

If you were faced with this situation in real life, you wouldn't run into the middle of the action throwing your life away.

You'd stay at a distance, knowing you had the resistance to survive a few hits and continue on to the next few enemies without going overboard and trashing everything, including yourself.

yeah except, think about it in terms of warframe. you have enough sheilds, energy, various spells that keep you alive longer or distract the enemy, if your sword could literally slice 3 enemies in half with each swing, yet your gun shoots bullets into heavily armored targets, you would, as a super power ninja, choose to rush in and slice and dice your way to a quick victory, while using your gun to pick off any who run away.

Rebalanced is not the same thing as buffed.  Be careful what you assume.

Melee is incredibly useful when starting out the game.
