The rules on the ‘G word’ needs a revision.

After hearing about the two sides on the topic as of now it needs solid boundaries. The big G word going around needs solid boundaries. The reason why is because some staff stand on a certain lifestyle and some people get to abuse it to joke on their end. There’s a few ‘White Knights’ who get to abuse the G word. One ‘White Knight’ brands themselves with the big G word.

If a regular person can joke about the G word then get in trouble it needs a reevaluation. Seeing one side get to let loose on the big G word is wrong. The corporate abuse on free speech is a unfriendly approach to consumers. Maybe the use of the G word on both sides has to stop. That means the consumer doesn’t use it around staff nor staff and contributors use it around the consumers. The worst incident of this the Tennocon 2016 convention. A ‘White Knight’ abused the context of the big G word 3 years ago. Now it’s a bad habit.

Instead of the consumers just being handsoff on the big G word the others have to remove the use of it too. That means 3 years is a example up to this point of important. If staff and contributors are punished for this too things will improve.

(making an assumption it's that big G word)....  As a man that's been out of the closet far longer than most of the kids have been alive, I'm rather glad that it's part of the black list on words not to use as an adjective for something that people don't approve.  Further it has no place in a game that is not geared for sexuality let alone sexual content (by the way it's also  not a lifestyle as you're so quaintly putting it in spite of it being the vernacular of people that don't know how to approach either sexual proclivity or identity).

So while you chew on this response, perhaps you should work out what you're trying to convey on the topic instead of assuming we know what you're trying to address as change.  Include this as source material for why it remains on the black list instead of faffing around the point you didn't make: https://www.glsen.org/activity/thinkb4youspeak-guide-educators-grades-6-12

You're not going to be punished for saying the word "gay" on the forums... unless you use it in a derogatory, insulting or negative manner (i.e. calling something or someone gay as a means to devalue or insult).

That said, the in game chat is not the forums, and it users different word filters than we do here. As a result, it is unlikely that the word gay will be removed from the chat filters given the frequency it is used/likelihood that it will be used as an insult. Moreover, the in game chat is not really the place to discuss your or others' sexual preferences. This is also true for the forums, meaning there should be little or no need to use the word anyway.
