Easy way to fix shields.

1) Make a mod that provides a constant recharge of the shield with no delay when you pick up an Orb of energy. Give it a work mechanic like Health Conversion, which will increase the efficiency of recharging the shield for each stack.

2) Make an antitoxin Prime, which gives +150% toxin resist.

3) Buff antitoxin aura, to provide + 45% toxin resistance.

3) Buff arcane Deflection to have 100% resistance to slash status.

3) The volume of the Overshield will now depend on the usual shields in the amount of 300%. (600% for Harrow). This is far from the EHP value, but will help a lot. Maybe it is possible to make these values bigger? May be. But I don't think it's worth doing because it can be improved with adaptations and Aviator, which gives some numbers to compete with hp armor builds.

4)Change the priority of shield spending so that normal shields take damage first, then overshields (if any), then health and quick thinking.

5) Enter arcane, which allows you to restore the overshield using normal shield regeneration with 10 - 40% efficiency.

6) More ways to restore shields. Weapon mods, operator arcanes, etc.

7) Enemies and specters buffs: Shield osprey now grants 1 sec. ShieldGate to allies . Shield Osprey cannot use shieldGate on itself, even if connected to another shield ospray.. (This is a weak enemy and I think he should get improvements to become an ancient healer for corpus. And of course, the players will also benefit from this. You know, it's not such an OP thing as it might seem.)

This picture of progression. Shields are initially stronger than hp in early game, but progression changes situations. The shields are fine, we just need more progression items to keep the shields strong.

Antitoxin prime: from -50% to +90% (DR cap) on toxin resilience, which is almost immunity

overshield is already unnatural amount of defense charging up your defenses, what kind of insanity someone will make some sort of overload as something to hold? besides i can see that you want to use that overshield as buffer for health... but this will buff Hildryn absurdly, since she is immune against status procs while overshield is active

not only this one, but there's others that gives 80%, like magnetic status too

Only the Aviator has a cap. 150% of the resistance is immunity. This makes a lot of sense for shields. In any case, toxic eximus auras can reduce resistance, so the danger still remains.

Just make sure that hildryn's overshields take damage and let the toxin and true damage have bonus damage against hildryn's overshields. Yes, it's still strong, but this is more of a gameplay moment.

But I'm not really worried about it. If it really is too strong, DE can give it up. The main thing is that overshields are scaled with volume. The volume of shields should be encouraged.

Personally id really like for them to add an armor like stat for shields call it like Shield Density or something. Before the advantage of shields over health was that they could recharge on their own now with all the gear and mods that can restore health theres very little reason to build for shields unless youre playing a frame that can quickly restore them or you have a ton of shields to start with and adaptation.

Also it would be pretty cool if shields could block certain procs like slash which would also help with slash being so overwhelmingly useful against all enemies and might help build diversity atleast in my opinion
