There are several types of freebies you can get from twitch: General drops - for watching a devstream for 30ish minutes. Prime with Twitch Prime - you need a subscription for that. (If I remember correctly, Nekros falls into this category). Event/streamer limited time drops - you need to check DE's social media to not miss those.
