QOL Improvements to boosters

Affinity Boosters

·       Make it affect syndicate standing.

·       Make them affect affinity from completing riven.

 

Credit Booster

·       This affects nightwave credits.

 

Resource Boosters

·       Make it affect kuva reward from sorties and medallions from syndicates.

·       Make them affect the resources from extractors.

 

Drop Chance Boosters

·       Make them increase the chance you get a rare resource from extractors.

 

Mod Boosters

·       Make them increase the drop chance of rare mods.

 

All Boosters

·       Whether you buy a booster or receive it as a reward (sortie, login) you will be sent an inbox giving you the option to activate it.

·       When you logoff, the countdown stops until you log back in.

You can't request that without adding :

- All Boosters now have a duration reduced by 80%.

Otherwise a 3-days booster can be kept alive for weeks and that would only push pressure on you to maximize your playtime. That's nasty.

Pretty sure it already does that, a least as far as the 6 primary syndicates go. 90% Sure it does too for rivens, even though I don't really pay attention to it.

NW credits, despite the name, are not credits. And the fact that even between seasons you have to use the new season's credits it tells me that this is a huge no-no by DE. NW Credits are very controlled and valuable at the moment.

  • XP Booster already doubles the Syndicate Points (of the main 6 Syndicates) and Focus that you get.
    • any XP you get is doubled by an XP Booster, so it already doubles the XP you get from opening a Riven.
  • i think we can guess that getting double the "Battlepass" Currency isn't going to happen.
  • Resource Booster doubling stuff you get as a Mission Reward too would obviously be better, but i'm not really excited about making Boosters even better (and as such making not having a Booster worse in the future as Digital Extremes will 'balance' Crafting costs around their existence)
    • this edges the game closer to becoming like one of those 'free' Mobile MMO's.
  • are you sure Drop Chance doesn't already affect Extractors? i don't know.
  • technically the Mod Booster does by making Enemies drop Mods more often?

Syndicate standing is not affinity so this is false. Syndicate standing is only affected by the sigil your frames have equipped.

But it is affinity based, since the sigil merely converts a percentage of affinity to syndicate standing. Same logic as with Focus Lens.

How do I know? Personal experience as someone who uses affinity boosters from prime accessory packs quite often.

it's literally a Percentage of the XP you get.
what did you think the Percent values on those stickers was based on? 13% of what? 13% of the Dark Matter in the Universe? it's a Percentage of the XP that the Warframe acquires.

This also is already a thing

 

Affinity from completing a riven: 5.000

With a booster: 10.000

With a booster +affinity weekend: 20.000

 

Pretty sure smeeta booster works on it too.

I like the idea to activate boosters on demand.

3 days boosters are perfect to keep them until friday.

 

Extractors are something so low on actual benefit that I tried to use them within the 1st month of play and just forgot. They need to be buffed like x50 in quantity of resourses to even bother placing them and keep an eye on.
