Affinity

So i've read that your profile level can be levelled up by levelling your warframes and weapons where warframes give you 200xp and weapons give you 100xp per level. Considering this, if i were to level my weapon to 30, i would get 3000xp. However, my question is this. If i forma my weapon back to level 0 and start levelling it, will i get any affinity for it?

have to level up new weapons and frames to continue to gain affinity and rank up.   It is annoying at times, but also ^-^; found alot of neat weapons that I enjoy using because of it.
