Canach Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Ok, I know Limbo does well for rescues and defections, but I don't have one ATM and didn't enjoy the first one I had. 😝 I'd like to know what other frames anyone is using for these mission types - anybody else particularly good for them besides Limbo? Thanks!
0 Drachnyn Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 For rescue you dont really need to get the target to extraction, you can just rush it and extract once the target is free. For defection oberon and trinity work well.
0 vegetosayajin Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 rescue: ash with the smokescreen augment is as good as limbo's banish Gara works too, equinox night of the top of my head for "defecation" - easiest with trin and oberon, yea ^ you can try nidus but...he is harder to pull off
0 gluih Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Lately I have been using loki for the sortie rescues. That way you can get in and out easily. Just stay invisible all the time and throw a few disarms on the way out. Giving the captive a good weapon can also be nice, like the sonicor or something, that lets them just murder everything. Just run/ jump to the exit as quickly as possible, your target can even be bleeding out when you reach the exit. And if you have trouble getting to them quickly/ don't want to raise the alarm, any frame with invisibility is great. For defection a lot of frames can be useful. Oberon is probably on top of the list, because you just heal passively. It depends if you are doing it alone or if you are in a group. Nova, Vauban and Nyx can help a lot with CC. Wisp is nice to have around for the buffs.
0 (NSW)Quarky Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 I like Khora for defections, too. Set Venari to heal the defectors and you are good to go. It doesn't even take your energy so you are free to ensnare or strangledome everything.
0 Sunai_Moonswing Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 (edited) Nyx with high duration, range, augment for chaos almost trivializes most missions, as everyone is too busy shooting at eachother to notice a hostage, or a group of Kavor, and warframe walk by. Trinity just keeps everything alive. Whether you use an augment on her 2 or not, is up to you. Nova can slow all enemies and make them vulnerable to any damage. And anything that claims to be a tank gets an antimatter bomb to the face. High range, and duration Frost or Atlas to make a hall of statues. Mirage with slight of hand can make a large amount of distractions, useful for rescue, not as much for defection, I believe, I need more testing. Also be warned that there is currently a bug with her ability that causes all enemies interested in security consoles to actually use them, resulting in frequent lockdowns. Nekros with his soul punch augment can be used to bring team mates and escorts back to life as they fall. And he can summon his own army of distractions. Gara or Nehza for granting damage resistance to the escort targets, and providing crowd control. Vauban with his booster pads, offensive and defensive uses of powers make for a valuable asset on either mission type. Everyone is saying Oberon. They explain why, so I won't. Just read their messages! (haha) Baruuk, with his sleep ability or disarm (disarm doesn't work on infested) makes any escort mission trivial. Especially if those you're escorting don't attack. Equinox can either put enemies to sleep or make them extremely vulnerable to damage, or both! Wukong with augmented cloud walker can hide whatever or whoever you want from enemies, just like Ash. Ivara can make people invisible with her arrows, making just about any mission borderline boring, if you can time the Invisibilty arrows right. Titania is interesting, as she has a lot of crowd control available, be it from Spellbind, or Lantern. I don't know if they've removed lantern's ability to affect people through walls, but the 40m lantern was one of my favorite things to mess around with. Edited January 21, 2020 by Sunai_Moonswing
0 (PSN)Apoleon_amarr Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Sortie rescue: hydroid Rescue: nova, limbo defecation: trinity, limbo, oberon
0 Hexsing Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 In on Khora. She can heal and CC and really protect the defection target. Oberon is good. Trinity makes it pretty walk in the park easy. Nidus is very viable. Many people forget Garuda. Her heal is very mobile and comes at a low cost. As well as a permanent energy. She can use her blood alter as a heal and CC. I often run her with the Hirudo for the ease of healing and sacrificing health for energy. For rescues I have used Wisp to great advantage. Ivara and Loki are great as well. Then again I have done it with night equinox. Really there are a lot of options.
0 (XBOX)Thang Hung Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Can't believe no one has mentioned him for Defection seeing how he comes from it but, Harrow. Harrow can chain the enemies up with his 1. Heal the entire team with his 2, not to mention give them all attack speed and reload buffs. His 3 makes sure everyone has energy to cast all of their beautiful things, and his 4 if all heck breaks loose makes everyone invincible for a short time and if that doesn't turn the tides of battle the immense amount of crit chance after it should. Plus the sounds you hear in your headset/surround sound make playing Defection enjoyable to a degree. More so than any other reason at least. For Rescue any frame really, I tend to play speedsters, they can't hit what the can't catch or see.(Looking for you, not at you Loki)
0 (PSN)Deadmennwalking Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Rescue - Loki Defection - Rhino Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
0 Birk.Borkason Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Not an expert in defection. For rescue missions I use Loki a lot, but also Mesa´s 2 or Banshee´s 3 can be useful, especially when playing solo. For low level enemies I also like Wukong´s twin equipped with a good amprex or Ignis wraith.

I think they are pretty bad at leading targets, so I would stick to hit-scan. The Wukong clone seems to do pretty bad with the Rubico however, so maybe it's more important to let them fire a lot of shots. Aksomati (prime) or Akstilleto prime and other similar weapons can do the job. Sonicor is also nice, because it just knocks everybody around. The Akbolto prime might work well, because NPCs aren't limited by fire rate. This is true for some other weapons as well. By far the best in my experience is the staticor modded for a lot of status with corrosive, blast and fire rate. It's a very cheap build in terms of forma and lets them go nuts.
