Tenn-o, Tenn-o, Patiently we did wait, and now has arrived the day That you shall awake! ---------- Explanation: My inspiration this particular shanty to sort of be a rebel-song style thing wrote shortly after the Tenno killed the Orokin that has been passed through the system in secret for generations., with verses added to it overtime (I.E. The first two verses and chorus are the original shanty, whilst the last verse and Chorus were added around the reawakening of the Tenno. I imagine a lot of the people on earth would at the very least know the song, whilst to other factions members (Particularly the Grineer.) who wish to rebel and be free and heard the song would use it as a sort of call sign to others in the same mindset in an effort to try and escape with more people. It would have different meanings for different people in the universe, especially depending on the time period it's being sung in. It's also supposed to sort of represent call and response between the people and the Tenno. I based the general concept of the melody intended for this on a shanty I once heard while canoeing. It was more melancholy than your usual one with lyrics such as "Hey, Ho/Nobody Knows/No Food/No Drink/No Money/I Have None/When Will I Be Merry?" Where it was slower and more plodding and set in a minor key, which is the sort of idea I had for this particular song. We were playing the game as a soap opera style game where the PCs formed a band and a situation occurred that a NPC gave his life to save the fleet. The enemy ship was call the Lucifer's Hammer. I think this shanty could be used for the game due to the environment that it takes place in. The rhythm of the words will give a clue to the shanties rhythmic movement. If you cannot read the shanty due to the print color over the picture, here are the words: Lucifer’s Hammer His hands are strong, his heart is cold. Made in Hell upon forges of old. Sent to cause terror and fear in all. Lucifer’s Hammer is here. The forces of good gather for the fight. Against the heart of hell that night. The battle rages, so many falls. To Lucifer’s Hammer out in spaces so cold. A lone soldier comes out of the night. Fragile and small but surrounded by light. With skill so daring, he dives in from the sun. To engage Lucifer’s Hammer and save everyone. The battle rages, fire blooms in the night. The soldier’s sword is strong in the fight. Moments is all the fight might take. A cheer goes up as Lucifer’s Hammer breaks. The smoke clears fires die down. Cheers and clapping all resound. All but one with tears in his eyes.
