Nora-style missions for Lich murmurs

Grinding out murmurs is super boring. It's not so bad your first lich, but it's a lot less fun on your second one, and the fun decreases rapidly after that. Part of the reason is, if you're grinding murmurs you're probably not doing anything else. Most players have very little reason to spend three hours hitting nearly every node on a single planet. They've got stuff to do on a lot of different nodes all across the starchart, so stopping everything else to grind out murmurs feel like even more of a chore.

Why not add a rotation of Nightwave-style goals for earning murmurs? That would allow players to grind murmurs without having to stop doing everything else they need to do, similar to how many of Nora's acts are not only doable while doing other things (e.g. racking up kills with a specific element type while you crack relics for your next prime frame), they often actively increase your rewards for stuff you might be doing anyway (e.g. clearing your daily syndicate missions).

Or you could just have thralls spawning in normal missions. Wasn't that how it was supposed to be from the start?

The nightwave missions are only a good replacement for something else, if you get progress passively anyway. Otherwise they get annoying very quickly.

The thralls being killed "by accident" while on Sortie and stuff by players not ready for Lich-hunting might have been why DE made some changes (not 100% sure)

Going to have to say hell no to this.  

Forcing players into murmur missions in order to get nightwave will only make players recent nightwave and lichs (more).  

There is tons of good feedback on how to fix lichs.  DE has no excuse for not giving us an excellent product anymore.  

Thrall death squads can spawn in on players, the lich hunter can you know, actually hunt the player, planets where you host and pick a planet under lich control can spawn thralls (in any mission).

Forcing players to play lich missions is bad enough.  I'd say it is so bad I just stopped doing it.  I got a few weapon and then said screw this.  It is an island game mode, isolated from everything.  

Forcing players to play lich missions to also get nightwave credit would be deathnail for both nodes for many players that see easy solutions DE wants to ignore.

Are you talking about thralls or larvlings? The larvlings are what people were complaining about killing by accident.

They actually didn't implement being able to get rid of a lich. That would have solved the problem, that people had with not being able to or not wanting to bother with killing a lich.

In my ideal world things would work like this:
You have a special mission, that you do to create a lich.
Within that mission you have things to do, that increase the power of your weapon and the chance to get an ephemera.
Once you have a lich, thralls spawn in your missions and very rarely the lich comes to visit you himself. No more multiselections, where you don't make progress outside of the lich.
There is a special node, that you have to/can go to in order to fight and kill your lich. There are different options to implement this.
Failing to kill the lich at that nodes levels the lich up.
A higher level lich means, the lich is more powerful, the thralls are more powerful and the faster your progress. So if you feel like taking your time and fighting weak enemies, then you avoid your lich. If you want to actively farm kuva weapons, you level up your lich and fight higher level enemies.
1/week you can get rid of your lich. You don't get the resources back, that he has stolen. When the lich is on the lowest level, he never steals mods and other important loot, only resources.

I think you may have misread. The Lichwave acts would be, just like Nightwave, doable in any mission. That's the whole point of the idea, that you wouldn't have to grind murmur missions.
