Squads bug?

Whenever I go to the map it shows me here and there 2 or 3 squads on a tile.

I join and also go down to the surface and see there is nobody except me but I am loged in as public.

Is there a trick of some sort?

Alas, that info has kind of never been reliable / of consequence from my experience, best just ignore it 😛

You mean, the game made you Host and started the mission countdown?

You can pause the countdown and wait for at least one other player to join your Squad,
or cancel and try again until it (gives you a "please wait" message and) makes you join someone else's Squad.

No, I do not host the countdown I think. I see already 2 or 3 or the planet and I want to join. I join and stand there alone 🙂

You see squads on the map before you join?

I'm  confused. When I hover over a location it tells me open squads, but not where they are?

Is that what you're talking about?

I've  had the opposite experience, frequently I join a mission and within seconds we're  told to go to extraction. A bit frustrating since I get next to no xp.

That's kind of impossible, you can't join a Squad already in-mission and then suddenly end up in your own empty Squad (I think),
at least not without a Host Migration - is that happening? Does it give you a Host Migration message?

I am in the navigation window. It shows me a planet location, then I hover with the mouse over it and the text says:

"Open Squads: 2" (or one, or three)

I always thought I can join when they are maybe not filled up, cause I can not see how many people/players.

So I join and mostly I can join the active squads what is for example already in mission (e.g. Survival) for about 1 or 2 minutes.

But sometimes it shows me 1, 2 or 3 squads and I join and there is no one.

But I am not clear on the term "squad". Maybe there are realy some groups of players and they are all full with 4 players each. This would explain why I could not join anymore.

Maybe it should state "Players" instead of squad, or both (for example: 1 squad, 3 players), then maybe I would still have a chance to join.

 

But, I am also not clear with "squad" it is ment to be a player, or a group of players (what would be logical). But sometimes when I join a squad:1, there is already one player in mission. When I join "squad 2", there are already 2 players in mission.

All abit confusing to me
