Zanuka didn't capture me

Zanuka invaded my mission, and I decided to try to get captured since I've never experienced the gear recovery mission that triggers if she downs you. I ended up using all of my revives, and I failed the mission but wasn't captured. I'm not 100% sure what triggered it; it might have been because I accidentally blew myself up on my first death in an attempt to lower my health faster.
