Revival of Dark Sectors Though Railjack? (idea)

Given that the Armistice has been going on for years now, it seems about time to direct some love to dark sectors. Though railjack content perhaps? I've heard some talk recently of other players with the same ideas of different ship classes; i.e small one/two man fighters, current Interceptor class railjacks which are 4 man crews, and finally Large capital/warships that take between 5-8 players to crew.

Extending from that would be the actual content itself. Working along the same principal of LoR and Jordas Verdict where you'll need an access key, but it's a multi stage mission or quest type set of missions (Mission A > Collect/destroy objective > move to mission B etc). Mission A would start off outside the Dark Sector zones in free space where the planet is under a blockade from Faction A that has their own capital ships in orbit around the planet. Seeing as Dark Sectors could be resource dense areas (+drop rates etc) then it would make sense that factions want them protected.

Mission A would consist of destroying enemy fortifications within a certain size area in order to pass though in a ship. Grineer blockades might consist of Galleons, Pulse turbines and Shipkiller platforms while corpus might have some kind of magnetic disruption that strips some shielding (railjacks only) along with other types of energy weaponry.

Transitioning to ground combat would see players eliminating enemies, destroying key objects like headquarters, munitions storage or refineries.
All resources and rewards are kept per stage like with current railjack, with rare/bigger rewards for completing all 3 missions (new weapons, arcanes, or some kind of clan rewards)

Feel free to add your own ideas and opinions.

It's not that DE is completely ignoring them, they just can't think of a way to make us actually care about them.

Sanctuary Onslaught was originally a competitive PvE version of Dark Sectors, but so few players (and developers) cared about the announcement that they changed it to the current Sanctuary

Well, Dark Sectors had a PvP element to it, so all those Conclave Players had actually something to accomplish instead doing their stuff in a fantasy sports league detached from the main game.

I'd like to see more "Bridge" tileset nodes, even this node is the solarrail itself. Weren't they suppoosed to be huge anyway?

DE have plans to try and connect Railjack to the main game, but we're talking the real grand scheme of things, many months, possibly years down the line. personally I'd like Dark Sectors to represent the ongoing war against the Infested, on a larger scale; each of the Dark Sectors poses a threat to it's host planet as the Infested constantly try to spread out of the sector, and it would be up to us to keep doing missions there to keep the threat level low. however, this would be a "spinning plates" kind of mechanic: whilst people are focusing on one Dark Sector, several others would increase in threat level and if left unchecked one would eventually go "critical", indicating the Infested are escaping the Sector and are beginning to infest the other nodes.

the player would then take on similar, but slightly tougher, versions of Infested Invasion missions, which could be given modifiers from either Nightmare or Sortie missions. completing enough missions collectively (like with Formorians) would push the infested back and eventually force them back into the Dark Sector. and if nobody addresses the issue, well… remember what happened to Eris? that could happen to another planet: this would have PERMANENT consequences, resulting in infested versions of that Tileset appearing instead of the regular.

add in some new unique cosmetics, weapons, Infested units, maybe a Phorid/Juggernaut Rework, and you've got yourself one hell of an update IMO.
