CityOfVillians Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Steel Charge and Coaction Drift or Power Drift?
0 CataclysmPhoenix Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Power drift won't effect the finisher damage from the ability, so if you're trying to boost damage from frame mods, coaction is your best bet.

Pretty sure the extra damage from Fatal Teleport is affected by ability strength? That said, I'm not actually sure Power Drift would be worth it, as the increase would likely be quite minimal.

If the choice is between Coaction or Power drift, I'd think Power drift could provide more of a buff than coaction. Probably not much of a difference. That said, if you're in a squad all running Steel Charge, then you'd almost definitely want Coaction.
0 Canach Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) Handspring. FT is fine without trying to milk it for a liitle more - Handspring is truely useful in combat. (Limited to those two, I agree with Coaction Drift.) Edited February 12, 2020 by Canach
0 CityOfVillians Posted February 13, 2020 Author Posted February 13, 2020 1. Fatal Teleport does 200% melee damage/finisher 2. Steel Charge increases melee damage 60% 3. Coaction Drift would boost Steel Charge to 79.35% 4. Power Drift boost ability Strength 15%, that would result in 215% for Fatal Teleport (200% + 79.35%) > or < (215% + 60%) Since the % are in different categories (melee damage & Ability Strength) you can't add the % together to solve the equation...

If you do, it has a vastly smaller effect, "Amp" Auras are rarely worth it, they're not a total damage multiplier, but merely add to Serration & co, for diminishing returns.

So I've been doing it wrong... In that case I'll drop Steel Charge. I know most people use Corrosive Projection. I've been slowly moving away from Rejuvenation for Energy Siphon. Probably will replace Steel Charge with Rejuvenation. That means the obvious answer to my question is Power Drift 🙂

I mean, not without reason 😛 Unless you're planning on playing Solo and killing every enemy via Finisher damage, CP is just so dang useful still.
