Mohmi
I have tested around, the bug (fps drops) always apear after using the Starmap.
NinjaFuchs
Yup, I can confirm it now aswell. As soon as I open the starmap I get these random drops in performance. Switching back to a solo session seem to resolve the issue, although I haven't tested that too thoroughly.

[DE]Linkski
Hi again, I wish I had better news, but unfortunately we are still having a difficult time reproducing this issue. All of the information that you've provided has been very helpful, however there's still something that we're not seeing. With that said, could anyone who is still experiencing this issue please send us a copy of your EE.log in a support ticket? You can find your EE.log here. And you can submit a ticket here. I'd recommend typing something in chat before you open the star chart. Anything will work, even "hi this is my star chart". Then, repro the performance drops, close the game, and grab your log file using the steps provided. Thanks! EDIT: We are able to reproduce this now! We'll try to get it cleaned up as soon as possible. (Sorry for the inconvenience!) Edited April 9, 2020 by [DE]Linkski

FusionDragon
This bug is pretty interesting, only happens when my camera is facing the back right door of the orbiter looking from the front of the orbiter, but not if i look towards the other side. I am using an rx 580 and i notice when this happens, i get a downward spike about every 60 seconds about 4-5 percent which somehow drops my frames from 72 to 30. at that interval i wouldn't be surprised if it was an animation loading issue or something similar
0ldboy
With the last updates i notice a great performance loss,to the point that is not possible to play. For me is not only in the orbiter is in general. Before the last updates the games runs smoothly in everyway. Today after reset all my graphic card options and check the game cache, the game crash my computer. I use a 3950x,32g and rx480 8g...i know the g.card is not the best but a think is more than enough to play at 60fps. I not going to spend my money in this game until DE fix the problem, today Warframe is not enjoyable for me.

Hi everyone, We have a potential fix for this issue, so we'll try to get that out to you as soon as possible. You should see it in an upcoming hotfix. Please try again after the next update and let us know if it's fixed. Thanks! Edited April 13, 2020 by [DE]Linkski

[DE]Linkski
This morning we released update 27.3.12, which includes a fix for the freezes that would appear inside the Orbiter shortly after opening the star chart. Please let us know if you continue to experience this issue after you've downloaded the update. Thanks!

Muggyx3
I have the same issue, fps drops and high gpu usage in orbite, only afking. Its happening since the last updates, even not in orb vallis or PoE i have this problem.
AltairFerenc
I have the problem too. I have a potato laptop tho but I had a "stable" 25.-30FPS on the lowest settings EVERYWHERE in the game. Yesterday during the day everything was fine then I wanted to do 1 mission during the night and I had 10-15fps, I reainstalled the game and It run today during the day like a charm, then I wanted to do some mission during the night again and yet I have 10-15 fps again, I don't want to reinstall the game every god damm day just to get a solid a performance for a couple of hours.

DJN00B
So, if you look back in this thread I said that I had a ticket open, it's been open for nearly two months........ The issue with the star chart causing the 60 second interval lag has been fixed. BUT I'm a bit frustrated with how this went down. I very very clearly explained exactly what was happening and what was causing the issue. Support had me doing all kinds of different things, essentially to check it wasn't on my end. Which to some extent I get. But this finally came down to about 3 weeks ago they asked me to make a video asking me to show them the issue. Once I did that, a couple of weeks goes by with no response and boom the issue has been fixed. I am HAPPY this has been fixed. I just wish we hadn't had to go through this long run around to get there when I was pretty specific right from the start. In the end, I do want to thank [DE]Nate and [DE]Tim for their support and sticking with it.

If you play without an FPS cap, your GPU will operate unconstrained, working as hard as it can. It would only be underutilized if your CPU was bottlenecking your GPU.

It would only be underutilized if your CPU was bottlenecking your GPU. if u play without v sync thats ur problem, but that usually will only cause tearing if ur screens frequency is too low unless ur GPU is cooled poorly and overheats due to that. that would result in more than just stuttering tho. what u described sounds more like potential driver issues to me. ive seen lots of crap happen due to corrupted or driver install over driver over driver without ever caring about installing cleanly. if u complain bout ingame issues but dont want to try at least a clean driver install i have to wonder....i mean u want to get it solved, right ? DE cant really tell u for sure if its ur drivers so at least make sure its not ur system. that would help a lot. if u already tried this then nvm, i dont know what u tried already based on the lines i read from u. good luck. Skywalker41
I`m encountering the same problem after the last few patches. The performance of the game is a lot worse than it used to be. The game was running just fine when Scarlet Spear was released. After the Hotfixes kicked in ,i litteraly can`t play the game anymore. Most of the time my FPS is in the range of 2-10, not only in the orbiter but also in the missions/loading screen. Sometimes it works fine, but after a while it drops from 60 to the same range of 2-3. Loading screens of 2-5 minutes. I`m running the game on the lowest settings. Laptop configuration is as follows: ASUS ROG GL552JX, i7-4720 (4core - 8 threads) 2.6GHz (3.6 with turbo boost), 16GB RAM, Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 950M (4GB) Mention: Fresh Windows installation 4 days ago, every driver up to date and clean installs. Everything is set on performance mode Edited April 27, 2020 by Skywalker41
