Warframe Revised: UI Quality of Life Changes Megathread

Really?!
I am a new player and now I have to look closely at every weapon in the market to see if it's locked because I am lower rank. How this improves anything? A little red number of required rank in the right or the left corner if I am below that, will be helpful and not so confusing and time eating. Or something like that...

Apologize my English! It's not my native language.

When using the Railjack Forward Artillery, can our warframe don't block lower-center of the screen? Because we cannot move the camera while using the Forward Artillery and sometimes the crewships are at the lower-center portion which our warframe is blocking the view.

Solution: have our warframe be transparent while in this mode just like the plants in PoE.

Place riven's and aughments into ability slots and allow passive traits to gain levels or be replaced, many guns also have horrible reload or secondary features which gets more confusing after equiping mods, each mod could accrue points based on their polarities and schools, earning the players who have their operators focus, and syndicate earnings for new passive traits, aughments for weapons, temporary enhancements for melee, and equipment to borrow from relays, bounties alike stow a few temporary recluses and guardians or supplies for defense, the further railjack gets miniature robots and ship escorts, orbiter defensive systems, emotes, and otehr likes.

  • Chromatic Blade improvements

for example could be simplified  by allowing the players the enhancement which triggers based on syndicate standing like the arcanes, focus school or faction/tileset/planet each allow the aughments to have additional or "approved" features which are allocated and adjusted at the consoles in the ship/railjack/syndicates/menus, additional cost(s)features can be purchased like a smith who sharpens a swords thus making visits to zaw shops and cetus, npc, and blueprints more useful, based on syndicate standing or made resonate to its rightful ability slot in the UI icons resonates a pitch, a list on hover will show up all the enhancements, the mod card is basic and upgraded further than 2-3 stages with the new traits, kills, and parameters allowing it to acrue EXP, and focus which is used later for other warframes and weapons.

Allow me to slap a tag on a weapon / warframe / companion / blueprint / inventory item / relic / mod / arcane /...

basically anything that got a selection screen like arsenal weapon / warframe, foundry, mod screen, trade screen, baro inventory sell, relic selection, ...

and next to the "search" or "order by" drop list in UI, you put a "filter by tag" checklist

could be just colors, like 4 red/green/yellow/blue

and then I put like my fav weapons into red, my I-want-to-try frames on green, my I-want-to-keep-for-baro prime components in red (checking red in baro trade), my I-want-to-sell-on-market primes on blue (checking blue in inventory for warframe market), my I-want-to-never-see-again-in-foundry boar blueprints in blue (checking red, green, yellow there), ...

seems simple enough, but would be a QoL thing with e.g. the amounts of weapons and craftables.

I'm a bit of a completionist, so I have like 100+ weapons to select from...

If you are super nice, u can even make the tags nameable, but fixed colors would do fine by me

where ever there is a "hide owned" in a UI, add a "hide crafted" as well.

you already checking if I have something crafted, by taging in "Crafted" on mouse-over, why not add filter option as well

also, maybe allow an extra "hide crafted (components)" where you can hide components / component blueprints for things I already crafted.

could you add a tag "vaulted" on a relic (either on mouse-over and/or directly in relics refinement/selection)

sometimes when I open relics I check with wiki to see if a relic is vaulted, assuming that its parts might be more rare and might be worth rad.

QoL Mods: a select All but one, to sell the duplicates without selling it all.

QoL Buffs: Option to enable a Text under a Buff Icon to see what buff is currently active permanently. For example very useful with Buffs that have the same Icon but different Type(Smeeta Kavat Charm for example)

UI QoL Requests:

1. Please stop teleporting our cursor location to the center when we select an item, when asking for the quantity. We already know where our cursor is (literally where we just clicked), it is disorienting and forces us to shake the mouse about to find the new location of the cursor. Particularly annoying when selling items for Ducats or selling/dissolving mods.

2. Allow selecting multiple items to scrap for Dirac in the Dry Dock. If we want to clear our wreckage capacity between mission runs, we have to move the mouse about and click about 90 times just to do that (click on wreckage, click on scrap, click to confirm, repeat 30 times).

3. Railjack Forward Artillery ammo count takes wayyyyyy too long to show up. We can literally charge up and fire up a shot faster than waiting to see if we even have any ammo left.

GLOWING COMBO BUTTONS,

  • practice mode(s)
  • press
  • sounds, clicks, comfirmation, themes on combo and visual, should include blood and other elegant transitions per moveset, additional passive traits and hidden
  • lattent effects, endo rick, poise,
  • unlockable emotes per card, mastery, leveling beyond endorick and dormant/rust, detriments, versus constant, blacksmist, blacksmith, teachers, conclave and sidearm bonuses, 3RD eye.
  • school translations tabs should be something like music and soft tones when going through the cards and increasing them, as well as when entering their combo list, reviewing combos, occasional whale sound or nurture, wind, grass which can be useful way to atune or refresh the list/mod, stance, players can gain some bonding, or nurture points which increases the dormant passives or temporary effects, triggers, and channels, ideas.
  • changes, the players need a playground when they enter the combos and a NPC like tha tof conclave who can be at CETUS with the stances and new weapons, arcanes, and rapkla mods/temporarily i can say a blacksmith can fill the spot for most melee and channeling offering a latten or boost in efficiency to players who go on bounties or are in the plains, ther could be various commanders and soldiers who can drop care packages from railjacks or ships, robotics enhanced by hacking or parazon to engul reload and triggers for tennos and operator weapons, or movement in some cases from finishers, glyphs, and lenghty animations to feel more rewarding, overall i think reload is most painful, but not the worst way to get S#&$ done since you have a secondary weapon, the transition and energy/pickups could help enhance some of the gunplay and reload for fast players, crouching, and bullet jumping to spread AOE blast like king of fighters, at least the slam attacks do a good deal of damage and are really effective, but there are very little aerial doprocs or abilities until a few updates / patches especially for OCTAVIA and other warframes like nekros, messa, and vauban lol.smileyface:

Then I though there should be some glasses based functions for zooming in. A video by Fanbyte from youtuve gave me the idea, he was playing warframe for the first time, i dont think he knows how to zoom in or what it does, so off-zoom features should also get some adjustments and reload also, without zooming in the guy was throwing down infested or missing, but he had really large glasses on, so i figured there could be a fire proc, like the robotics get overheat, or a combo+ thing which makes zoom and hipfire more revelant to each players playstyles benefiting also the playesr who stand still or who move around the most, i think eventually you wanna have energy pellets and sprint intertwined to keep players from extracting too zoon, i mean soon or have a few tiers of that experimental feature like channeling was to melee, sprint and reload are really the worst on operators and other cannons, and also crouching features.

minimap is next, each school and focus group should give some UI and interface or unlockables for the profiles, glyphs and emotes, or passive traits to go with teh stances and also the modcards, and weapons,

we should also examine the synthesys, fonts, and scanning transitions interjecting after getting damaged, ephemeral, and tennogen extensions, and upgrades which many abilities and warframe classes should incur, and planets replayability, this can be that some areas of the game's tilesets have sensors, machineguns, or ducats, and other expendibles, and that there could be ways taht the minimap can "dissapear" or go off- to give the players the fullscreen experience without the parazon which i still find laghy because its slow and you are surrounded by 12 other enemies who can clearly see you doing parkour on their soon to be dead BFF's back, it just doesnt always work or its funny to maybe get teh operator involved for the advanced players getting some temporary bonuses, grenades! and other AOE hahaha, the arcanes do some of this S#&$ easily, but parazon and stances still need passives, earnnings.

bounties and npc:

npc should have more premium items for sale, lunaro and pvp advertizements could be great for some areas of town to morph some of the UI in the screen to something more fitting, i seen it  in more advanced games, futuristic games like Cyberpunk 2020 i never played it and theres SquareEnix games which have some of that MATRIX and gara physics with tiles flipping over and like the Glassmaker theres tech and explanations which give the game a bigger RPG feeling, overall idk, but i intensily recommend this UI TRANFRM to be part of the Orbiter and Relays, and Dojo's, profiles and armory later, which gives SMG weapons and modding a heavy vulcan feeling of smoke and bad-ass.

Powerade is simular, they sweet blue-or red from their foreheads, okay

And while we are at the "vaulted" relic marker, can we also get markers for "owned/crafted/mastered" on the relic rewards? Especially when we are selecting a relic for the next endless mission rotation and have only a few seconds to pick it?

Yeah so like in the dialog that shows up when we hover over relics, putting icons next to each item for owned/crafted etc. would help in those situations most definitely.

I would like to suggest perhaps moving the UI that pops up when one of Wukong's passives are used to the top or bottom of the screen instead of in the middle of the screen. I find that currently when it activates the UI obstructs my view while it's showing which passive has been activated and how many are left. Moving that to the top or bottom of the screen would still let us see that information without blocking our view of whatever's going on in a mission.

As an honest, sincere, quality of life change, revert the alterations Deadlock Protocol brought to the mission select UI and transmission windows.

The oddly bright and blurred tint to the formerly opaque and clear transmissions genuinely hurts my eyes; and it's far too similar to my real-world night-time visual astigmatism.

I already see starbursts and fuzzy edges when I look at too bright of objects in the real world; I'd prefer that my hologram video feed and fictional version of the solar system don't have their bloom and blur cranked up. I want them to be solidly-displayed, neutrally-lit, and hard-edged again.

CxZfA6D.jpg

Cirr, Honey, that change they made to our transmission feed somehow managed to make you even uglier. The inexplicable purple-white light really brings out the undead, roided-out abomination in your remaining eye.

As a side note and the other reason the new transmissions genuinely look worse, it also

Spoiler

makes Eudico and company's real heads look even more... ...off. I genuinely care about these fictional enslaved people, but the fact of the matter is the Solaris need a model update to have proper eye animations and mouths with teeth and tongues anyway; and this harsh, inexplicable new hologram smearing to transmissions makes Eudico look creepier than even the existing Uncanny Valley vibe she was already giving off.

Spoiler

LUrro6m.jpg

Can't sleep. Glowy blur Eudico will eat me. Can't sleep. Glowy blur Eudico will eat me. Can't sleep...

And as for the mission/instance select UI change, less is honestly more. No offense to you and the other developers, Bear, but I preferred the unobtrusive, transparent selection box we had before.

jOQK0Yx.jpg

Bring this back. It honestly looked better, even when vertically stacked like this. I preferred our minimalist, clouded-out background with the clear boxes and non-capitalized, softly rounded text.

It made it immediately clear what instance I was clicking on, it didn't cover a decent full sixth of my screen with an illustration I'm likely not looking at for long anyway, and it was a lot less startling to just have something that showed my mission type and node in small white text within a simple, if ocassionally very tall box; instead of giant, agressive all-caps font in an enormous rectangle that covers most of the planet the mission is on.

Rto9f9e.jpg

This UI is angry. This UI feels like it kicked down my door. It butts into the room and shoves more info and image than I actually need right in my face.

When I see this kind of mission select box, it honestly makes "FREE ROAM" sound like a command that I am having bellowed at me, to follow on pain of death; and not so much like it's describing my mission type. I miss just seeing Ceres - Lex - Capture (Grineer) when I selected a mission.

That minimalist box with gentler text was sincerely preferred, and I already want it back.

Please. Thank you. The new look... ...just seems unfriendly. I don't need nodes to have a great big picture like a broken Codex entry, nor do I want capslock text as sharp and stylized as the game's logo in the new, huge boxes.
