Ordis/Simaris; but he's a warframe now.

Cephalon based powers like ('data' manipulation {boost 'weapon' data/stats?}, holograms, and 'reality bending' ?)

Idk, there's a lot of room for interpretation on what 'Cephalon' powers are and it sounds neat.

Story: Before the end of the war, two tenno who found each other amidst the war saved the future of the tenno by sacrificing themselves. Stuck in a position where only one could survive and not wanting to separate they melded their frames into one. Creating a new frame turning the tide of battle and allowing the tenno to escape.

The operators were next to each other on the same ship when they integrated, they won the battle, but couldn't undo the transference afterwards choosing to disappear after into the void when the battles over.

This is a dual warframe kind of like equinox. two different playstyle frames. One male, tank, shot guns and two handed weapons. The other female, faster more mobile, sniper rifles and daggers.

The idea is that this frame wouldn't have much in the way of abilities but have 2 sets of weapons. so you would play the frame as if you were two different people.

My idea for a frame ever since I saw the the sentients was a guardian based warframe. A frame that was created to guard the the Orokin. We've had plenty of of frames that use companions or assets in battle, but none you control directly. So I figure, why not a frame that calls down a large sentient it enters and controls (a bit like titan fall but on a smaller scale.)

I had the frame abilities and everything all thought out, but this is themes only. So the frames theme in abilities would stem from the guardian. using pieces and parts of it that all synergize with each other. the first ability would call down hovering shields, the second hovering arms that attack with ranged hand cannons and melee punches, the third would swap the behavior of both shields and abilities in cycle-able set ups. (for example, the first behavior would be normal, the shields orbit you blocking incoming ranged attacks while the arms attack with ranged hand beams and melee. Behavior two would make the shields enlarge and smash into the ground in front of the frame increasing its durability slightly while the arms mount at the top of the shields as long range cannons making a fortress of sorts.) The forth would call down the guardian itself that you would take control of to cause some chaos. the first and second abilities would be augmented to fit with the guardian. The first ability shields would turn to floating swords cutting down anything that got close and the second ability arms woukd turn to shoulder mounted automated cannons.

As a slight passive while the arms are active the player could wall latch indefinitely with the arms gripping onto the wall until the duration of the duration of the arms run out. this would allow for players to make use of some newer mods that have to do with wall latching.

I could put so much more, but that'd be too much to read at this point. might draw out a picture to update this post with later.

I'm throwning these theme out there for Mr. [DE] Steve himself, a Lighting based frame, not not lightning but LIGHTING, the ability to change lighting could be extremly intressting for a few interactions as listed

1) warframe is getting darker, we need to see things

2) use those fance lighting changes Steve is always talking about

3) it can help mirage get the damage buff in places like the plains with a bit of co-ordination~ or in places that look light but arnt "light"

4) it can help gara blind people? kindda as useful as that sounds....

5) it could blind enemies? you know that cc everyone loves???? or somthing else i dunno go nuts ~<3

6) it dosnt just need to be bright, maybe you could darken stuff, so it harder for enemys to see, not just blind, but less accurate?

I would like it if we got a turtle-based Warframe named Honnu (Maori for turtle).

Abilities:

Passive: Regain shields 15% faster and starts regenerating shields faster.

1: Shell Shield: Honnu brings out his shell from his back and uses it as shield. Energy drain ability. Holding it causes Honnu to preform a dash with his shield.

2: Shield Drone: Honnu launches a drone from his shell that rapidly regenerates shields of squad mates in the radius. Can overshield to a cap.

3: Personal Dome: Gives Honnu a personal dome that slows him but greatly increases armor.

4: Shell of the Sentinel: Turns his shell into an exalted weapon. Shell shield now reflects bullets and Shield dash damage is increased moderately.

Edit: Ignore abilities. Didn’t read full instructions LOL XD.

I have wanted a Warframe based around cover-based-shooters for a long time. A tactical kind of guy, at ease when under fire, who knows the benefits of tactical positioning. If Mesa is themed around sidearms, this guy would be based around a tactical rifle, possibly with various attachments.

I know, abilities arent the focus of this contest right now, but still...I imagine whatever system lets enemy units know where they can take cover could be turned inside out to let this new Warframe see and select places to take cover, gaining directional damage reduction/immunity when behind cover, and some DR when shooting over/around.

I'd like to suggest a "Pioneer" theme for the new Warframe.

What does a Pioneer represent / What are the core values of this proposed theme?

Think of the men and women who forged the westward-expansion of the USA, think of the explorers who charted and colonised the New world, think of the men and women who will one day walk on other worlds and settle other bodies in our solar system. History is littered with the fantastical deeds of men and women who overcame the impossible.

Warframes are essentially Killing machines, their purpose (as defined by the game's Lore) is to annihilate the Sentient threat - and through their Orokin creators they were given unique identities. A pioneer theme is wide-ranging enough that many art styles could fit it's physical design - anything from something like a viking explorer, to to Hoplite-clad individual out of Greek mythology (like Ulysses or Heracles) [This would be my personal favourite to see, though; I don't think i've seen many games at all pull off a fusion of Greek-antiquity and Scifi art], to a Spanish Conquistador, to a stoic lonesome ranger or even a daring astronaut in a sleek, glittering, space suit scouting out new worlds and exploring new frontiers.

The one thing that this theme would have at it's core is that the warframe would embody self reliant individuals - ones that are strong of mind and able to adapt to and overcome any obstacle thrown their way, able to make the best out of a poor situation with the tools at hand.

This might lend itself to more "supportive" powers, depending on how one chooses to interpret it; they could buff their team when facing overwhelming numbers, for example. Alternatively this Warframe could epitomise adaptability and finding it's enemies weaknesses/turning the terrain against them. It could, for example, have inherent adaptations to certain damage types - even have an affinity for certain weapons emphasising precision and skill, like semi-auto rifles or fencing foils or ways of manipulating the other properties of enemies (manipulating their accuracy, their logic/AI or their movement, etc).

But everything comes at a cost - an opportunity cost. Casting one power may confer a debuff on you, this would lead to the juggling/selecting of different abilities to maximise your potential in any given situation, without always having any given ability turned on, all the time. This would essentially mean that every power both improves your situation in battle in one way, and worsens it in another, when active. Becoming both a blessing and a curse, depending on how this Warframe's abilities are deployed.

  • To succeed you must overcome your own limitations and develop a winning strategy that works for your current situation..

Why is this theme a good fit for Warframe's universe?

Pioneers, depending on the literature in question, also served as scouts and had a strong moral, ethical or even religious code, this would be useful and "fit into" a situation like the deteriorating Orokin empire and its sentient war (from the lore)

  1. All warframe infiltration-cells would need information on their targets, a "Pioneer"-model warframe could be the kind of thing you could send in to gather intel that no other warframe can survive. The kind that gets the job done no matter the cost and can adapt to many situations on the fly.
  2. Pioneers could also, depending on the literature, embody protecting civilians (A la "lone ranger") against tyranny and oppression or could be seen as the embodiment of change - which does fit, more or less, with the collapse of the Orokin empire and the dismantlement of its decadent caste system, too.

What is this Pioneer Warframe's Backstory?

I don't want to give this Warframe a specific backstory, as there is no single recipe or ingredient to greatness, it's something that you aspire to - something you achieve through hard work and effort and is different for everyone. Every great individual in history has followed their own path.

  • Perhaps a mysterious backstory might even be better than a well defined one.
  • The mysterious lone ranger, the explorer and the protector of the innocent and just - the one that always delivers, even against impossible odds. The Pioneer.
  • The Orokin were known for their design flare, perhaps a critical component of this warframe's uniquely adaptable skills could be derived from an enigmatic artefact on their person, the science behind it's precise function has long since been lost to time, (Mechanically, it would be similar to how Harrow uses his Thurible for casting powers).
    • This cryptic item is the sole connection to this warframe's mysterious origins - it is both the source of their power and their achillies heel; bearing it confers both terrible power and a terrible burden upon them.

In closing, I think this theme is wide-ranging enough that it will not unduly limit your (DE's) art team - they will have ample choices of great explorers and pioneers to pick from throughout history - and fiction - for inspiration. A fusion of several sources would lead to something both unique and iconic.

At the same time the core values of self reliance, adaptability and a capacity to overcome even the most extreme odds are flexible enough that they could be worked into a set of powers/abilities/passives, whilst not constraining coders/game designers with too-specific-a brief.

Y'all been here for 7 years. 7 is the lucky number. How about a luck/casino themed 'frame? 7 years! Yay!

Like, the abilities will be based around coin flip and slot machine, push those RNG to the max! 777 my dudes!

Also because my boi Limbo's been waiting for another dapper 'frame to fight alongside him.

Edit: aight imma elaborate

How to acquire: you gotta go do 7 mission nodes in planets to get randomly but guaranteed MacGuffins to get the 'prints and build the 'frame and its syandana. That's right! The first warframe shipped with syandana! Which can be equipped at another 'frame!

1st ability: coin flip to either dmg buff or def buff.

2nd ability: coin flip to either the all of your ability becomes a self buff or a team buff (limited to affinity range), duration until the end of the mission or until another flip.

3rd ability: choose between 3 face-down cards to either enemy dmg debuff or random proc vulnerability for enemies for the rest of the mission or AoE ability (sleep, slash, fire, whatevs, random!)

4th ability: the ulti! A slot machine to determine whether it's an invulnerability buff, invisibility, drawing a random exalted weapon, or other random good things!

Also, use credits instead of energy for the abilities. Passive? Get 3x credits spent for abilities if you don't die even a single time during the mission!

Augment mods: Rushin' Roulette for the 4th ability. Turn the slot machine into roulette, double the power/duration, but if the ball lands on certain spot it will be insta-death!

The topic I want to present is about a warframe made for archwing / railjack missions
and also normal missions clearly the warframe will have an archwing implemented in its
hip and will have the ability to use the archwing (not as titania) the passive would be
that in the double jump it will have an extra impulse and when it arrives of great heights
it can use it before touching the ground and avoid the sharp fall.
The archwing is a multipurpose weapon.
Estearchwing is a prototype created by the Orokin some time after they created the railjacks,
a warframe capable of dealing with the worst circumstances.
Here I leave some bosetos of how the archwing would be a matter and how are the skills.
I'm sorry if there are misspellings I am using the google translator my original language is Spanish😅

There's too many pages to make sure my idea is original but...

I'm going to say a warframe based on being a symbiotic cloak. Perhaps the frame is very flat, akin to chroma's pelt, and can attach itself to the environment, gaining a buff depending on the surface, be it elemental or armor, during which it's immobile, but very resilient by absorbing 'nutrients' from the surface. It could attach itself to allies like a cloak/jacket, transferring the buff to them, exchanging it for a new buff based on the allied warframe's element. Being attached to an ally could also be a form of healing and protecting them temporarily, making the two a temporary tank at the cost of the host's shields becoming the 'nutrient' the frame absorbs, and speed due to the added weight.

Theme: Nanite/nano-machine swarm meets Scandinavian folklore's draug and an undead skeleton.

One of the abilities of draugs in folklore is that they can increase their size at will. Nano machines could be purposed to convert materials and rearrange structure. Combining these two I think of a warframe that specializes in pulling armor and shields from enemies and the environment to buff itself and to use it as a resource for abilities (like Nidus's infestation stacks). It achieves this self buff/enemy debuff by sending out nanites from its body to strip material about it to form different structures like armor and weapons for combat.

A design possibility is that the warframe starts as a very thin and small skeleton that gains size and heavy armor plating (or condensed energy plating for taken shields) the more it takes from the environment or enemies. The more defense material cached causes the warframe to become extremely hard to kill but slow and cumbersome, while a state of little to no cached material has an inverse effect. The playstyle of the warframe involves tactically managing this trade-off.

A Lancer based warframe.

Like the Parazon, It will uses its lance to penetrate not only enemies physical body, but synthesis with their mind to gain information and secrets about them.

Information are always keys to battle. Whoever has the most info can even win against situation where they are outnumbered.

A Warframe built around the concept of Sacred geometry using gravitational powers. the orokin are seemingly obsessed with beauty (like the Ayatan Treasures.) so i thought a frame that used 3 dimensional geometric shapes/patterns  in combat  would be fitting.

it would collects dust, specs of matter and light  in the air around it and uses it to attack. causing weird space distortions that resemble geometric patters or shapes. such as trapping enemies inside bizarre cubes of matter that slices them apart with changing shapes inside the cube. Send enemies flying with a dodecahedron that morphs into other shapes as it moves and pulls in enemies towards it as it is fired forward.  Creating pillars that alter the gravitational space around them causing enemies to orbit it and able to be used to wall jump off of or creating an orbit around the warframe itself  that shred and bludgeon enemies trapped in it with polyhedron and spheres.  creating cubes of matter by condensing gravity and allowing the warframe to travel across the air with like stepping stones. Gravity as a power can be a marvelous plaything.

a were-frame!

a mechanic like ember's immolation, but when it's full you literally go beast mode kinda like if Valkyr fused with the Tasmanian Devil!

maybe some attempt from the grineer to create a warframe of their own, but this is the result? or using a watered-down version of what Ash's Blade Storm used to be?

White: Devoid of emotion or remorse, it sparks fear in both enemy and ally. With to demon horns on each side of his head, a skull for a face, and a hole through the body instead of a heart. Power 1 slice, black wave of power at target. Power 2 roar, a screech that makes enemies run and boosts self. Power 3 brutal, obliterate all nearby foes and leave a sea of red. Power 4 blast use the horns as conduits to fire a ray of energy. It has black armor on one arm and black cape on its legs, white otherwise hence the name.
