Open Call for Warframe Theme Ideas!

Oh, my brother has made one of his frames already look like this, and man do I like it...

Spawn

The backstory could be anything though, as spawn's story might be ™, but but... Betrayed and harboring a revenge, Loved one left behind, made a deal with the devil (pick your ancient)... There are options to go with there 🤓

Backstory has a lot of freeway, but a deal with a powerful being to come back as a warrior is easy to build into the lore.

And for the frame, oh The Cape. An imbued syandana with abilities for the frame. Maaaaan, that's some tight stuff there. And it might just dement or drive insane the coding department.

Self-healing if energy is up, super strength and agility, teleportation, necroplasmic powers and demonic powers, shielding cape and them chainzzzzz, shapeshifting and resurrection.... That guy can have it all. And most of it isn't even that new to the game!

A shame it's so trademarked, but you could at least work a living cape though to a frame? That'd be so nice!

Oh and he could have a kubrow at all times, with it's own mini-syandana and all 😅 With deadly damage the kubrow just cocoons to the syandana and heals for a set time.

We have Mesa as a gunslinger-type frame, but I've always dreamed of a Rambo-type frame. Instead of popping into a stance and whipping around pistols, can we get a frame that summons a big-ass gun and just lays down fire? Like an exalted minigun or something. None of the guns in the game have that feel to them right now, which really sucks.

The theme I'd like to propose is a Druid type Warframe:

CELEBORN

A Warframe that specialises in direct elemental damage, enhancing relationships with Pets, shifting into a powerful beast form for ult damage, & summoning constructs/beasts that have offensive & defensive capabilities.

Vambrace- The Living Exoskeleton

It was once used by a strong tenno warrior, defending the weak, vanquishing the dreadful. One day the warrior was fatally wounded after long fought battle defending his home. Not even death could qualm his sense of honor. It still fought.

The warframe would look similar to samurai or shogun armor. It would be able to be worn by other warframes to aid your allies or Control enemies by making them wear you instead.

1- Armament- Fit yourself upon and ally Warframe and or take control of nearby enemy as your wearer instead. Health pool of warframe and Exo join together. While attacted to an ally your movement is controlled by your ally.

2- Shield based ability, surround your ally in a defensive bubble to resist damage or around yourself and your host

3- Gates- create large standing gates that prevent enemy passage and damage those who try to storm it.

4- Shogun, Your wearer summons a large suit of armor to wield in battle, the suit is melee oriented, but what it lacks in firepower it makes up for in precision and efficiency.

passive- while attached to an ally you are allowed to aim and fire your gun as well

Since you already have magnetism (Mag) and radiation (Nova) focused warframes, the only missing fundamental force of the universe is GRAVITY (gravity, electromagnetism, strong nuclear force and weak nuclear force are the 4 fund forces). Completing this set would go along with the precedent you have set by creating a frame for each of the four basic alchemic elements (Hydroid, Volt, Atlas, and Ember). This is not my image, but it would be a decent example of what such a frame could look like: tome-stefanovski-warframe-turn.jpg?15238
A gravity theme has the potential to be extremely varied--for example, you could have an abilities that either use decreases in gravity to float/cc an enemy or increases it to slow them and deal massive damage by crushing them under the weight of their own armor (e.g. heavily armored enemies would take more damage while shielded enemies would suffer less). Another ability could be to create a gravity well ON an enemy, letting them move around like normal, but dragging any enemy near them towards them (think Khora's Ensnare combined with Octavia's Mallet). A third ability could be to generate versions of the Electromagnetic anomalies found in sorties, creating fields that block choke points to enemies while giving a speed/jump boost to allies. The ultimate ability could be to create a large singularity field (similar to Limbo) that slows enemies movements and actions based on how close to the center they are (e.g. at the center, all movement/abilities are halted, but, on the edges, they are only reduced by 33%)--this could let you lock down a control point by slowing enemies who approach it to a halt, opening them up to your attacks.

Gravity also creates a lot of room for passive abilities. The frame could create a natural vacuum to draw items into your character for farming or could reduce the gravity of the weapons they carry, increasing the swing speed of melee weapons or reducing the recoil of projectile weapons; alternately, they could increase the gravity (and thus damage) of thrown weapons or mitigate stagger by increasing their own gravity.

Viking / Barbarian themed Warframe.

Has the unique ability to dual-wield melee weapons like two heavy blades (Galatine, Gram, Scindo, etc.)

Or has an exalted weapon where he/she wields two heavy blades with a unique stance.

Bloodlust, Rage, Chaotic / Reckless Swinging, Pain Tolerance, Inhuman Endurance, Earthquakes -- (just a few keywords to help with the theme).

Jinn: the genie-themed frame.
main body is the “lamp”, having lots of armor and a bulky, gold-themed design.

passive: If Jinn goes into bleedout, his inner Genie is released to wreak havoc on enemies

power 1: “wish” - tapping allows Jinn to cycle through the 3 most common wishes: money, power and love. When holding the power key Jinn emits an aura around himself, enacting the active wish. Money: enemies killed by allies in the aura drop 50% more credits (can increase based on power strength). Power: allies in aura have 50% increased power strength (can be increased with power strength). Love: enemies hit by allies in the aura turn said enemy to your side for a short time, 5 turned enemies per teammate.

power 2: “greed” - send out a shockwave in all directions, stripping enemies of something and giving it back to Jinn & allies based on the active wish. Money strips and regenerates shields. Power strips and adds bonus armor. Love strips and Regens health.

power 3: “chained” Jinn wraps himself in the the cosmic binding chains from his wrists, adding ferrite armor (much like iron skin). When enemies break through the chains binding his infinite cosmic power, his fourth ability can be cast once for free. This free cast may be saved and stacked up to three times for spamming.

power 4: Genie - Jinn opens up his hard, armored body, releasing the Genie inside himself. This Genie can: 1- hover over Jinn’s shoulders and act as a second mode (much like baruk’s 4th) and have it’s own move set based on the active wish. Or 2- Jinn’s inner Genie slams down his fists, blasting out an AOE attack with an added effect of the active wish.

this idea is still just a concept of having a hard, armored frame with something terrifying inside of it that opens up for the final power. My horrible artistic talent is trying to draw a concept but I don’t hold your breath lol. if an artist feels inspired by this idea, I would be honored if you chose to work on some concept art (no pressure tho).

I just wanted to share the idea. If you’ve read this far, thank you and I hope you enjoyed the concept.

I would really love some furry stuff, like, a warfur, his playstyle could vary between prey and predator, prey being defense focused, while predator is offensive.

Given his animal nature, this frame can positively influence his fellow companions.

Orokin used to own kubrows, right? Therefore, its logical that they would need someone designed to teach, train, and protect these fluffly creatures ❤️

Perhaps when the orokin vanished, instead of fighting the sentients, this warfur was the one responsible for saving the kubrows and preserving them on Earth, and teaching them to protect themselves from other possible dangers, giving them the feral nature they naturally have today.

Even though he didn't choose to fight, he was still an orokin creation, so he wasn't safe from the enemy attack, upon landing on Earth with his furry friends, a sentient attack could happen at any time, and he had to sacrifice himself in order to fullfill his mission once that happened.

Fortunaly the enemy didn't attack early, which gave the warfur enough time to teach the kubrows how to survive on their own, together as a pack, so when the enemy finally striked, the kubrows hid in their small underground tunnels as they were taught, and came back to the surface once the ambient noise started to calm down to its natural state.

The kubrows, finding their hero destroyed, grabbed the remains of his armor, and burried those inside their tunnels, so they can protect their savior the same way he protected them.

Rumours say that up to this day, the feral kubrows bring offerings to the remains of the warfur, thanking him, and hoping he would wake up again

What about a zanuka or hyena style warframe

1st ability: switches between biped and quadruped stance

biped stance gives a boost to ranged weapons

quadruped stance removes ranged weapons in exchange for boosted movement speed and melee speed (damage is based on equipped melee weapon)

2nd ability: launches projectile from shoulder mounted launcher

switches between semi, and full-auto firing modes based on stance

                 projectiles are explosive?

biped is semi-auto, high powered and very accurate

quadruped is full-auto with high spread making it less useful at long range

3rd ability: Detaches shoulder launcher for 30 seconds creating an automatic turret

                 time scales with duration

4th ability: Locks on to enemies within a certain distance and launches a volley of seeking energy missiles

plants the warframe in place similar to Mesa

always leaves the warframe in quadruped stance after use

Vulcan - Forgemaster Warframe

Excels at buffing his allies and himself with protective armors and deadly weapons.

Would likely be more appropriate for more stationary missions like defense.

Aesthetically more Greco-Roman in design, with his abilities further reflecting that, potentially with visual FX like armor or weapons applying to himself and/or other players. Not so much heat themed but forges are definitely hot, so that would be an interesting facet to explore as well.

Backstory wise I'd think along the lines of "sequestered by orokin scientists due to aesthetic issues, never cleared for battle for fear of disgracing the beauty of the orokin empire.

A genuine plant frame would be nice. A lot of nature themes, but we have yet to have one transform the battlefield.

Oberon doesn't really count since he's a rad-paladin, you know?

Edit: To properly differentiate it from Oberon or Saryn, emphasis on themes like how a DnD Druid would play, or summoning vines and ground cover to offer CC and displacement. Visually, it doesn't have to be akin to terrestrial jungle- it could be alien like Saryn's Orphid skin, or Lua's limited plant life. Plants are adaptable, versatile and highly variable, giving a wide range of potential kits and niches.

Oberon isn't a Paladin, Oberon is named after the King of Pixies, he's themed after a Satyr, a forest spirit. Oberon uses plants and his Prime trailer is all about nature fighting back. He's a Druid through and through.

We need an actual Paladin in Warframe, it just can't happen because people keep spreading misinformation.

I would really love to see an elemental warframe. It would be centralized around combo-ing its abilities together. Similar to how it works in Magika. Say if you had an ice ability for the first one, and a fire ability in the second slot, then used the combination ice and fire, your frame would have a steam blast centered on it that knocked everything in an area down. Or if you combined fire and air together, you'd get a powerful single target lightning bolt. All in all I just want a space wizard.

I've always had this idea for a frame for the longest time and I've fallen in love with it.

Gambler Frame

Basically, it's kit would revolve around the use of elements as it's abilities, though they'd be somewhat random. An example is rolling heat/toxic/electricity/cold dice out in front of you. Then, you could roll out multiple elements at once to form into a larger elemental explosion (ex. toxin and electric make a corrosive explosion) but, you're throwing out these dice at random, so you don't entirely know what elements you might roll. The basic idea is playing with chance, but also having a few opportunities to "cheat" specific things you want out of your abilities. There could be a quest revolving around a certain cephalon who's known for his random rewards *cough* Cephalon Samodeus *cough*. I have plenty of more ideas regarding abilities, but this isn't for abilities.

Design-wise, it'd be easy to want to make it look like limbo... but instead of a gentleman-esque character, I'm envisioning a more rogue gambler. They would have decks of cards on their wrists for them to draw from similar to the saying of having a "card up their sleeve". On top of this, I'm imagining something like a bag at their hip where they store their earnings or dice. The dice they mainly use could be incorporated onto the palms of their  hands, allowing them to easily throw them out and recall them back. The main body of them would be designed like a rogue or thief would, borrowing concepts of cloth on their body from frames like wisp, ivara, mesa, baruuk, and garuda.

Astral projection warframe.

A frame allowing you to mindjack enemies, with duration based on strength as well as duration.  Would be either second or third ability.

Passive could be the operator transcends out upon warframe going into bleedout state, allowing self res on a timer.

First ability could be a toggled enemy radar with the effect of an aoe stun when toggled off.

Another could allow the tenno to jaunt forward, leaving an after image to deceive enemies.  Again,  either second or third ability.

Ultimate could allow all tenno in proximity to act like Umbra temporarily, having operators and frames work in unison.

Add extra limb to warframe!

When I play Monster Hunter World, I had discovered many monster can use their tail to attack enemy, especially Glavenus’s tail like a broadsword. That is very cool for me. Therefor, I hope have a warframe can have a not decorative tail. It could be a scorpion, scissor, or gun.

This picture is I according Monster Hunter World’s Glavenus to drawing, may be it is not good, but it just an idea.

The Old God - once revered as a deity even among Tenno, *insert frame name* was drawn down from divinity as faith in the Tenno waned across the Origin System. However as the new war approaches, desperate prayers calling on the aid of the Tenno have woken the titan from their slumber and demand them to inspire hope in their believers and strike fear in the enemy.

A frame powered by faith that draws strength from both hope and fear - the power provided by allies greater, however harder to come by. The power provided by enemies weaker, although fear spreads quickly once the titan descends onto the battlefield. Faith idols can be carried by allies, and judgment marks can be placed on enemies to derive power.

A quest centered around this frame could entail visiting shrines on Earth dedicated to this old god, and providing sacrifices to summon the frame.

For reference - the concept is drawn from a combination of the titans of Greek mythos, basically any god from D&D and the valar from LOTR.
