Warframe based on Decay. Everything alive that it touches - die eventually. Imagine opposite of infestation. Weapon, that Orokin tried to create to kill infestation faster than it growth.
Bodies of enemies will decompost. Armor & Weapons will evaporate.
No balance in the universe. No new life after each death, each death will only make Decomposition stronger.

Also it would be great if frame could change appearance. Like look beautiful outside, until starting using abilities, then it starts to look more ugly:
For visual design  keep in head aesthetic of ugliness, or maybe imagine something good-looking, but rotten inside. Like Dorian Gray, for example.

I would personally like to see a Druidic Nature themed warframe. The back story for the frame would be that it was a Warframe that defended nature and animals from the infested (or other threats). This would be a brawler like frame that would change forms based on the ability selected. I am thinking that only the Hands, Feet and back would change. The frame would be heavily built and would take on a more WereBeast form. The form would dictate how it's hands, feet and back would change but it would also determine stats. Like you could have it be a frame that has stat fluidic stats that change based on the form it takes with Advantages and Disadvantages to each form. In some ways it would be like Oberons bigger brother. You could even give him a fur like Syandana to give it that rugged barbarian beast look. Forms could be Wolf, Bear, and Tiger. Think Diablo 4's Druid or Diablo 2's Druid. Nature would make him stronger and would be more visual then Oberon with maybe someway of making your Kubrow and Kavat go berserk in battle.

His name is Pulsar. This warframe is an almost naked skeleton. Teleporting from the body of one enemy to the body of another, he builds on himself organs and armor. To use the ult, he rips his heart out of his chest and holds it in the air. Dealing damage in his heart, he will damage all enemies whom he has been struck by lightning during teleportation.

Basic soldier type warframe, down-to-earth fps shooter gameplay oriented. Think of Solider76 from Overwatch amidst the rest of the quirky cast.
Visually armadillo theme mixed with mechanical parts, tenno themed parts for base and orokin themed for prime.
I dub it ARMA, taken from "armadillo" and "armament".

I know this is just for overall theme but i whipped up what i imagined it would be like ingame just to make the concept more concrete and easy to understand. Hiding it under spoiler since it turned into a wall of text.

Spoiler

More machine than life, more armament than man - or what it once was.
A mass of orokin machinery, this warframe is the test bed and the accumulation of orokin's attempt at harnessing the powers of the void.

While the tenno were strong, they were numbered. Thus the orokin experimented, and devised a plan to mass-produce inferior but less demanding warframes that would serve, as an equipment, for their dax soldiers and for the.. not-so-gifted tenno.

But the production fell, along with the rest of orokin empire. - Lore

-STATS-
Lorewise the frame should have average hp, shield, armor with above average sprint speed and
low energy capacity to reflect the intended operators' inefficient or lack of void power.

-SKILLS-

-Passive-
Using abilities recovers warframe's and companions' health > shield > overshield > energy in that order over 3 seconds duration based on energy used. Excess amount will carry over to the next in order.
5x ratio for health, 10x for shield and overshield, 2x for energy.

-Empower-
A firearm is a soldier's lifeline on the battlefield.
10 energy (y/eff)

Gives 1/1/1/2 instant reload buff (y/str), recovers 1/2/2/3 stacks of ammo (y/str), adds +20/40/70/100 weapon base damage (y/str), and +10/13/16/20% boost to final damage (y/str), fire rate (y/str) and projectile speed (y/str) for 5/10/15/20 seconds (y/dur).

[PH]Companion will use the same skill if active.

-Designate - Target/ Cover/ Suppression-
The right call in the right situation can turn the tides of battle.

Target - tap on enemy
10 energy (y/eff)

Target gets a very visible mark, is slowed by 5/10/15/20% (y/str) and takes 10/15/20/25% increased final damage (y/str). [PH]Companions will focus on the target. No duration. Only 1 target mark can be active at one time.

Cover - tap on ally
10 energy (y/eff)

Target gets +50/100/150/200 flat shield and +50/100/150/200 flat armor (y/str). [PH]Companions follow the target instead. Works on npc and objectives, not usable on self. No duration. Only 1 cover mark can be active at one time.

Suppression - hold on an area
25 energy (y/eff)

Enemies inside the zone are slowed by 5/10/15/20% (y/str) and takes 10/15/20/25% increased final damage (y/str). Lasts 20/30/35/40 seconds (y/dur). [PH]Companions will focus on enemies within the area. Hold to cancel. Only 1 zone can be active at one time.

All 3 can be active at once.

-[PH]Companion-
Twisted; but not gone, sedated; but not forgotten, it remembers what it was, it remembers 'who' it was, and it remembers its duty.
Perhaps because this warframe has less infestation than a regular warframe would, the host is still able to retain some of its sanity.

100 energy (y/eff)
Channels for 3 seconds (y/natural talent, animation locked, vulnerable) to summon a specter/clone of warframe (yep its wukong's 1) with specter AI.
[PH]Companion copies your character's mods.
Companion uses its own default primary and melee weapon, but copies warframe's primary and melee mods.
Companion has its own default sentinel that copies companion's base stats and eligible mods.
Sentinel's weapon copies warframe's secondary weapon mods.
Hold to cancel.

-Grenade-

Does what a grenade does. It may not be elegant but it works.

Grenade - tap
50 energy (y/eff).
"launch" 1 sticky grenade towards reticle (think Overwatch's Zenyatta) that explodes in 3 seconds to deal 500/1000/1500/2000 aoe damage (y/str) with 30/30/30/30% (y/dur) freeze status (y/str) and no falloff over 5/7/9/10 meters radius (y/range). Can shoot at the grenade to trigger.
If shot with skill1 Empower active, increases damage and range of grenade and adds heat status.

Grenade Cluster - hold
ALL energy (n/eff), only usable wih 50+ energy (y/eff).
Charges for 2.5 seconds (y/natural talent, animation locked, vulnerable) to "launch" 3 sticky grenades with same stats.

[PH]Companion will use the same skill if active.

The topic of my warframe is agility. The Warframe can run very fast, but his main features is, he/she can blink (teleport) for a short range very fast, like Nightcrawler from X-Men in the films. And when you for example blink to a wall, he/she can jump away from the wall and attack (or go into a wall run). His / Her exalted weapons are laser blade, like a protoss berserker from starcraft. But the range from the blades is very low and the warframe has not many health. So you must keep in motion. "Blink to a enemie, make damage, blink to another enemie, make damage, blink away, and so on..." very fast. The ulti: He/ she is channeling his / her energie, one blade expires and the other grows to a veeeery big blade. Now, the warframe can't blink anymore, the speed is a bit decreased, but the range and damage of the blade is increased. The blade is so hugh, when he / she runs, the blades grinds on the floor. :3

I've seen a lot of ideas here, most of them are really cool. But I need to toss something from me so here it comes.  Theme dreams, or nightmares.

Oviume (Ovium-sheep in Latin and Yume-dream in Japanese) is a warframe that controls and consumes dreams.
She can manipulate the very fabric of stolen dreams to hurt her enemies and heal her allies.
She is the manifestation of inner fears, a terror itself. And somewhat the opposite of Nekros, he is themed around the fear of death and Oviume is the nightmare that makes you crave the embrace of death instead.

Onto the abilities, I don't know it they will be looked upon but it would be waste not to post them.

Her passive is called Stolen dreams.
With the use of her abilities Oviume collects dream shards. With the set number of those her appearance changes (eyes on her body are opening and her dress starts to look more sinister). Also the more shards she possess the higher chance for attacking enemy to fall asleep. If it occurs one shard is consumed. 1 shards is 1% chance. Max 100 dream shards.

Her first ability is called Bane. (exalted weapon, basically magic)
Oviume summons her powers as a ranged dual weapon (that shoots bolts of energy like magic). With every successful hit with she deals x dmg and gains dream shards. Bane deals tripled dmg to sleeping targets. If Bane is active melee weapons also give you  dream shards and deal bonus dmg to sleeping targets.

Her second ability is called Dreamwell. (fog like umbrella is spreading from the target)
Selected enemy is instantly put to deeps sleep (cannot be awaken until he dies or skill expires.), after that his dreams start to seep out to his surroundings. Every enemy that enters this area is put to sleep and receives x dmg over time and also gives Oviume one dream shard upon entry. Allies that enter dreamwell are healed every half a second and their status effects are removed. (Status effects  can be also transferred to the enemies affected by dreamwell maybe?)
Alternative use: Oviume can use dream shards to rapidly collapse all active Dreamwells to deal massive dmg to all affected enemies. Or spread lingering fog to a larger area.
Enemies attacked by the Bane are not waking up.

Her third ability is called Nightmare. (something like kubrov maybe?)
Oviume consumes a large number of dream shards to summon a powerful beast called Dreamshade. This amalgamation of stolen nightmares follows Oviume and attacks her enemies until it dies. It posses an protective aura that reduces the received dmg for all allies in its range. It also attracts enemies to attack it. Every enemy that is killed by Dreamshade yields two dream shards for Oviume.
Shooting Dreamshade with Bane attacks heals it.

Her fourth ability is called Eternal Rest. (Revenant's old ult but with a twist)
Oviume spreads her dream shards across the battlefield and puts everyone affected to deep slumber. Every enemy consumes one shards.
For the duration of this ability affected enemies cannot be awaken in any means and receive tripled dmg from all sources. (Bane deals six time the dmg)

Alternative fourth ability: Gaze of Terror (nightmare medusa)
Oviume consumes x(20) dream shards and shoots them at the enemies in form of nightmares. (She gazes at them like medusa in form of cone attack) All affected enemies are put under the effect of fear, receive bonus dmg from all sources (and maybe are slowed too) and yield dream shards upon death. Additional effect, enemies that are sleeping receive massive dmg. (on addition to normal effects of this skill)

Here is my concept art, I know that it wont be used but she was created with her look in mind so yeah:

The whole thing can be found on my deviantart, ChaosDominus. (it was here of forum but for some odd reason I can't find it anymore.)

Warframe name: Alaris (Follows early cephalon naming prefix + is a name of roman army units)

Warframe theme: Corrupted / Hunter Warframe (following idea of corrupted mods)

Abilities theme: Temporarily sacrificing one strength for another (lower survivability for buff) + Hunting skills

Backstory theme: Exiled cephalon forced into a Warframe.

Alaab Varis was a hunter. He would often leave his premises trying to find an opponent worth being his trophy. He also used to be an Orokin scientist, tasked with researching alternative methods of dealing with a Sentient threat. As the Old War progressed, the pressure on him grew bigger and bigger. Alaab tried his best, but couldn't deliver satisfying results without using technocyte. Warframes came to existence and Alaab has been sentenced by the Council to be one of the specimens in technocyte experiment as a punishment for his failure. To everyone’s surprise, his body slowly started to disintegrate, rejecting evolution. To carry out his sentence, Orokin decided to copy his mind and transform into a cephalon instead. He would be assigned to research ways of improving Warframe efficiency. Somehow, even with memory restrictors and behavioural spies installed, Cephalon Alaris was still able to fight against his creators and posed a serious threat to The Weave. Orokin, seeing as there is no use of their former scientist, decided to ban Cephalon to live a life of an exile as a Defence System in the Orokin Tower, disconnected from the central communication system, all alone. Didn't take long after the Old War for his new home to get infected by the very thing that cost him his human form. Spending eternity in a personal hell, Cephalon Alaris waited to come back and seek revenge. WIth abundance of technocyte around him and a great but corrupted mind, he would spend his days slowly putting together his new body, one that wouldn’t reject him...

Due to Alaris' self-creation post Old War, it seems that his Prime version is unlikely. Alaris Prime existence would be possible though due to his earlier rejection that was still preserved by the Orokin. As we know, cephalons can be copied. It might be an awful realisation that his copied mind might have been just one of many copies that Orokin created, with one copy being fully succesfull of integrating with Warframe (that was created from his deformed body).

Mahrad the void mage.

Key ideas of the concept:

  • Warframe without arms, unable to use weapons (primary, secondary and melee) [Caster Warframe]
  • Switching to primary, secondary and melee changes the sources of energy.
  • Whenever he switches "weapons":
    • the energy around his shoulders changes color and shape
    • it changes how his abilities operate (similar to a stance)

(I'm not a designer so I threw a couple of ideas for a possible warframe profiles and story)

Warframe profile (template):

Don't let this armless warframe fool you.
Where once his arms were, now a powerful catalyst to unleash the power of the void over this enemies.
Mahrad is able to manipulate the power of the void and unleashing a different elements (status) at his enemies.

Background story (template):

Mahrad was incredibly knowledgeable about the void. He used this knowledge to protect those who he cared about.
However as his power grew those who once praised him and worshiped him became afraid of its incredible power and devised a plan to imprison this powerful mage.
They would bait the mage to aid and once he arrived they would chain him.

But things didn't went as planned, mad at this betrayal, Mahrad ripped his arms from the chains unleashing the energy of void within him, killing everyone around him.
After calming down and with his arms still hanging from the chains that once trapped him, Mahrad ran as far away as possible exiling himself, to be forever forgotten...

hope this hasn't been postet yet X)

Fortune teller

Support: He/she could draw tarot cards to distribute random buffs to the party
Attack: throw his/her crystal ball which then explodes and causes random status effects on enemies (burn, corrosion etc.)
Support: Summon a spooky pet that disarms/cripples/bleeds etc. enemies and when cast on allies will support them by negating status effect like bleed/knockdown etc. for a while
Defense: establish an area where spirits will slow down and confuse enemies or use one of these paper fortune teller thingies/tarot cards/an ouija board to determine which effect the area/spirits will have (fear/slow/paralyze/confusion etc.) the area could also have a positive effect to allies.

Always wanted a Shadow theme Warframe that feels more discrete but dark & deadly at the same time.....

Name: Jin

Sex: Male

Passive: When in shadow/dark area, ability strength increase and ability cost no energy

Abilities:

1, Vanish

Merge into his own shadow on the ground. His speed increase in this form, and can travel as a shadow on the ground, on to the wall, on to the ceiling, and even pass through laser barrier without alerting any alarm. Every second he stays in this form he consume 3 energy. Ability cost affected by efficiency

2, Silence

An AOE ability that cast a shadow on the ground. Shadowy arms will emerge and grab foes within the area and swallow it into the shadow, without leaving a trace, or alerting nearby foes. Foe's armor, shield, energy and health will be consume and transfer to Jin at 20% rate per seconds. When duration runs out, foes will be release back on to the ground, confused. Friends within the area of effect will get benefits of energy, health, shield and armor restoration at a 10% rate. Jin can cast up to 3 zone at max. Range affected by ability range, effectiveness of absorption affect by power strength, and duration of ability affected by ability duration

3, Conclude

Up to 10 shadow-copies of himself split from him, each 5 holding a different weapon when ability is cast (if he is holding his melee when he cast the ability, 5 of the shadows will hold the primary, and the other 5 will hold the secondary, etc etc etc; as he change weapon, the shadows will swap to reflect the changes) Each will pull aggro from foes, as well as auto attack foes within range. The closer Jin to his shadows, the more powerful he is in terms of damage output, and he will gain armor values. Ability strength affected by power strength, duration affected by ability duration, and energy cost affected by efficiency

4, Phantom

Envelop himself and transform into a phantom/ghost like figure, with both his hands transform into dual blades. His sprint speed and attack speed increase, while loosing the ability to use any primary and secondary weapon (his dual hand-blade is his exalted large dual blade) While in this form any incoming damage will be transform into power strength, and any damage taken will consume extra energy. Ability strength affected by power strength, and every second he stays in this form, he consume 5 energy per second.

There you go...

A warframe who is a "master" of weapons, or of a single type of weapon, like a sword, dagger etc. The type who would treat weapons as an "extension" of him or herself. Simply, a warframe who can control numerous swords/blades/weapons with their minds or by some sort of skill/ability as their main kit. Even though this has been a popular concept around games, it would be actually awesome to see this in warframe 😄

I started working on this concept a month or so ago.  Is seems there are several folks that had very similar ideas.  I hope this augments their great ideas.

Byss – an Individual Support Frame & Void Wielder

Tenno, this is Byss… Champion of the oppressed, slayer and torment to those who _______.  Byss is and always has been on the fringe defending the downtrodden, empowering the righteous and slaying the oppressors.

Byss was developed to magnify the void talents of the Operator.  In its development it took on a form that was not seen before in a warframe.  Byss refused many operators, some violently, when it was to be destroyed a quiet, weak and non-assuming operator stepped forward, reached out his and quietly launched a void stream into the warframe.  Whatever link was established, the warframe embraced the operator and a fusion between operator occurred that had never been seen before.  Unbeknownst to Marguouliss, this quite operator, weak in stature and ambition, had been developing void powers never seen before.  Draining the very essence and energy from objects to fuel the operator’s own.  Later it was learned that the operator had been quietly aiding, and occasionally censoring, his brothers and sisters.  We do not know if Byss chose the operator or the operator took control of Byss, but the union was the strongest ever seen between an operator and a warframe.

Byss- Is an individual ally support and void wielder frame. His/her abilities drain health and energy from enemies to replace and augment his/her own and/or to replace and augment the health and energy of allies. Byss’s attunement with his/her operator and the void manifests itself through abilities.

Byss best fills and is meant to fit two roles.  The first is as an individual healer and health provider for squad members and the second as a hydrolyst/sentient team hunter.  Byss should be great at killing individual enemies, including bosses, but at risk from groups.

Byss will generally be weak comparatively on his/her own, but should be able to make at least one ally in the squad nearly invincible.  Byss needs to be able to stand on his/her own for solo play, but his/her impact is really felt in group play.  Byss solo play should be a little rough.  Although after mastery it could really shine.

Byss fills roles and adds to game play in a way no other current warframe does.  Individual ally buff and unique void ability.

Theme and Cosmetics:

The theme that works the most is a mixture of mythical creatures (see below) and parasitic type creatures (leeches, hagfish. Lampreys).  Appearance will be smooth and slender, borrowing some texturing from Ancients.  Further inspiration for appearance comes from deep water fish and eels.  Fins/ribbons along the sides of the body and arms.  I envision the hands having a circular mouth with small sharp teeth in the palm.  The other theme that meshes well is the Incubus/Succubus mythological creatures.  Void like auras and demonic accessories.  Personally, I like the mix of deep sea with a tint of void.  The potential to work-in bioluminescence matches well.

Background (admittedly I am still new to the game and every time I start to use a new frame or weapon I find my ideas that I thought were new and unique are not as new and unique as I originally felt.  For example; Excalibur Umbra and others all have abilities that I am just now after developing this concept, starting to experience in the game.)

Inspired by my favorite fantasy role playing character, a weak mage that moved from fire spells to energy and health draining abilities, with a dark cosmetic effect.  This mage launched dark colored flame jets that drained their target and provided strength and health to the mage.  Allowing the mage to supersede his normal physical limitations and boost his casting ability. The ability to channel his own strength and health to others was also a strong component to this character, along with some old fashion burn it up fire casting.  Making this character viable in the Warframe universe, not really a problem, but to make that kind of character viable in the game requires that a certain niche (not previously filled) or it introduces a new aspect for play.  Otherwise the new warframe is simply cosmetic and only creates noise and waters down drop tables.  As I developed the idea I settled on the support role and three potential backgrounds/cosmetics for the character.  First is the robed, helmed, gauntleted mage (thing Warhammer Chaos) and no weapons.  The next was a succubus or incubus.  A mystical creature from many different mythical conventions that seduces his/her victims and drains the life from their bodies, often depicted as demonic whip bearing angel, wings, horns and tail.  Finally, I started looking at leeches and hag fish.  Not only their appearance, but their natural abilities.  The name Byss is derived from abyss.  This naming convention works well with a succubus/incubus and deep see fish/monster theme (the movie Abyss).  With the mage concept magic energy is shot from the hand, with a flame type cosmetic and all other abilities with a similar flame type cosmetic.  A succubus/incubus style character could also go with a flame or dark anti energy style cosmetic.  Although a whip style or close-range grab/bite/kiss could work (I think it would be much harder to develop).  The last concept with a leech style character, with hands that have a circular mouth full of tiny teeth in the center of the palm.  Leech or hagfish style mouths with a very smooth, shiny/slimy appearance.  With at least one of the abilities the warframe’s arms would stretch and attach itself with a mouthed hand to the target.   Of course, all three concepts could quite easily be a mixed and matched.

I included the stat and ability work, because it adds to the overall theme.  Sorry for the length, hopefully some or all of the ideas augment the great ideas I have seen in the forum.

Stats

Health - 75 (225 at Rank 30)

Shields - 100 (300 at Rank 30)

Armor - 100

Energy - 175 (262 at Rank 30)

Sprint Speed - 1

Aura Polarity- Nanamon

Polarities- Madurai, Umbra

Abilities

Passive:          Energy Charge/Revive

+.5 per second energy.  +.75 per second w/out either a primary or melee weapon.  +1 per second w/only a secondary weapon.  +1.5 per second w/no weapons.  Broken Scepter can be carried (and only the Broken Scepter) and used by Byss at if he/she was carrying no melee weapon at all.

When byss’s health is reduced to zero while directly providing health and energy to another frame, that frame receives invulnerability for 10 seconds.  (there is potential here for an atypical respawn/revive)

First Ability (1)  Void Shot (25)

A void shot with unlimited range, deals void damage. A one-handed ability.

Strength:         150 / 225 / 300 / 400

Duration:         N/A

Range:             N/A

Recasting within 5 seconds of the previous cast costs ½ the energy of previous cast and adds 5 seconds to the timer.  How the timer works.  You cast Void Shot for 25 energy.  That starts timer with 5 seconds.  You recast Void Blast after 3 seconds.  This time it cost 12.5 energy and you now have 7 seconds on the timer.  If you were to cast void blast a third time after another 3 seconds elapsed the timer is set to 9 seconds and the cost 6.25 energy.  If, however you waited 6 seconds to make that third cast, the second 5 second timer will have passed, but the first still has 2 seconds remaining.  So, the third Void Blast will cost 12.5 energy and the timer will be set to 6 seconds (5 seconds from latest cast and 1 remain seconding second from the very first cast).

Augment:         Attunement – Void Shot now deals 2,000 void damage w/a 1.5x multiplier on critical. The following operator focus abilities can affect Void Shot if they are active on the operator: Flame Blast, Rising Blast, Inner Gaze, External Gaze, Guardian Shell, Guardian Blast, Disorienting Blast, Disarming Blast, Magnetic Blast, Unairu Wisp, Basilisk Gaze, Temporal Blast, & Voltaic Blast.  End state – Void Shot does the same damage as the operator with only a Mod Amp.

Second Ability (2): Sustenance (50) per second (Ghost Flame/Sustenance/Sustenance)

A one-handed ability.  Damage dealt to the enemy by Sustenance provides health and energy to Byss or a targeted ally of Byss’ choosing.  If Byss targets an ally in order to give that ally the health and energy boost from Sustenance, the ability becomes a two-handed ability, retaining the ability to move at 50% normal move.  Recast at no cost to either end Sustenance or target an ally.

Strength:         50 +10% / 150 +10% / 250 +10% / 350 +10% of target max health per second. The caster or targeted ally heals health equal to the damage done.  The caster or targeted ally replenishes energy equal to 50.5 per second.

Duration:         Target death, recast, target moves out of range.

Range:             15 / 17 / 20 / 25

Augment:         Deep Chill – Enemy target is impacted by a cold effect. 25 / 50 / 75% chance based on mod level.

Third Ability (3)        Void Focus (75 or 100) (Gauntlet)

Activates an exalted weapon.  Boosts Void Shot, Sustenance, shields, and armor.

-       Treat as a fist weapon with the following polarizations

o   Style Unarai

o   Umbra

o   Nanoman

o   Maduria

-       Void Blast and Sustenance receive some of the operator’s amp damage modificatios and amp arcane damage modifications.

-       Armor and shields increase by 5% of damage dealt to enemies (before armor and shields are deducted)

-       Armor and health can exceed normal maximum levels.  if Byss’ armor is above its normal level it returns to normal max level after the ability expires. Shields act as over-shields and there is no automatic reduction when Void Focus expires

-       Byss’s energy and health can exceed their respective max by up to 100%.  Energy is retained after Void Focus expires, even if it is above Byss’ normal max energy level.  Health will return to its max level if it is above its normal max level when Void Focus expires.

Strength: N/A

Duration: 5 / 7.5 / 10 sec.  Additional casting while Void Focus is active add 5 seconds to the duration.

Range: N/A

Augment:         Byss This – 15 / 30 / 45% of damage done to Byss (after shields, before armor) is also down to whomever did the damage.  For example, Byss is shot by a Grinear clone for 100 slash damage.  Byss’s shield take 50 slash damage and the left over 50 slash damage applies to Byss and then reduced by armor.  The Griniear clone now takes 50 Slash damage that is then reduced by any armor.

Fourth Ability (4)      The Abyss (75)

There is a spherical explosion of energy that emits from Byss, doing void damage.  After the initial explosion there is a 3-foot cosmetic fire (similar to Frosts Ice Wave) effect on the ground.  All enemies will be drained health while in the area.  The amount of drained health is equally distributed as healing to all allies in the affected area (including companions, specters, etc.).  Byss receives and energy reduction for any abilities cast while Abyss is in effect.  Energy reduction is summarized with this equation:  Time Remaining / Total Time

Strength: N/A

Duration: 5 / 7.5 / 10 sec.  Additional casting while Void Focus is active adds 5 seconds to the duration.

Range: N/A

Augment:         Byss This – 15 / 30 / 45% of damage done to Byss or any ally in the area of effect (after shields, before armor) is also applied to whatever did the damage.  For example, Byss is shot by a Grinear clone for 100 slash damage.  Byss’s shield take 50 slash damage and the left over 50 slash damage applies to Byss and then reduced by armor.  The Griniear clone now takes 50 slash damage that is then reduced by any shields, armor or other affect.

Warframe Naming – There is no end to different naming conventions.  Byss, Buss, Lilith, Meridian, Lamia and countless others can be drawn from Jewish, Christian, Egyptian and many other faiths.  Meridian, Leech, Lich, Hag and more can come from animal and deep-sea traditions.  Abyss, Mavka, Mare and Meridian have the luxury of applying to both a demons and the sea.  Liderc is a mythological figure that touches well on this warframe type as well.  Of course, I like the idea of not explaining the naming convention, having a name that could be derived from multiple sources and let the player find the meaning in the name that best suits them.  There are also Star Wars references to an Empire cloning program on planet Byss (????), and even the idea that the word byss is an outdated word and antonym of abyss, bring a new set of implications for the word.

Thank you for a great game and a great community!

Yamato - warframe pyromaniac. Specialist in fire and explosions.

Abilities:
1. The grenade
Warframe throws a charge that detonates when collided in a small radius.
2. Plasma Breath
Warframe imposes an additional fire effect on his weapons and on the weapons of the Allies.
3. Self-ignition
Warframe covers itself with fire for a short period of time. Running at enemies around the influence of ability imposes on them the effect of fire.
4. Passing
Warframe lays down all enemies within the average bomb radius and detonates them.

Passive: With a heavy landing, there is a chance of causing a fire.

1 hour ago, Alkhar said:

Merging this idea with the schoolar theme. An armless warframe who read books holding them with his foot and casting powers with his non-arms. Maybe a long helmet adorned with lens included too

I think it would be fun to give Grineer some love too. This idea is inspired by the Grineer cloning and modification labs: how they make normal Grineer (and Clem) and the Kuva Liches. It'd be fun to have a Warframe that can exploit some Grineer technology.

Morpheus the Many-Faced

(Appearance: Maybe giving him the same dark motif as the Kuva package for his appearance. And making his head look like it has a mask of a Grineer enemy)

Ability 1 - Imperfect Copy (costs 25)

Morpheus copies a targeted Tenno or enemy weapon perfectly (with mods) for a long duration.

(At max: Range 5m, Duration 30sec, Strength N/A)

Ability 2 - Kuva Spawn (costs 50)

Morpheus creates a clone of a targeted enemy with increased Damage and Armor. It does copy Eximus enemies.

(Gives +50 armor at max Strength)

(At max: Range 10m, Duration 20sec, Strength is the damage and armor multiplier)

Ability 3 - False Life (costs 75)

Morpheus copies the full details of a targeted enemy's Health, Shield, and Armor.

(ie copying a Bombard would grant 300 Cloned Flesh and 500 Alloy Armor, but scaled depending on the enemy level. Transforming back puts the player's Health and Shield to max, but dying in this ability is dying normally.)

(At max: Range 25m, Duration 30sec, Strength N/A)

Ability 4 - Mimicry (costs 25, drains 3 per second)

Copy a friendly Warframe's abilities (not sure if this should include ult if it's a toggled ability) and your modifiers stack multiplicatively with theirs.

(ie If an Ember had 125% Duration, 200% Strength and Morpheus had 200% Duration and 40% Strength, the result would have 250% Duration, 80% Strength)

Does not dispel any of Morpheus' abilities, but all non-buff affects of the copied abilities are lost at the end of transformation.

(At max: Range = 5m)

(Augment: All copied abilities function as if an augment is applied.)

remember Grendel was originally based on "Oni" theme?

well, when he came out, to be honest, I'm a little bit disappointed with his abilities and actual theme. he's just a Kirby, nom nom frame.

so, I just want a real ONI frame.

fiery-blazing, soul & spirits, 2h katana, maybe with a red, horrifying-kabuki-mask like helmet, with big, long hair.

his/her appearance is screaming with personality, to strike terror into enemies.

thank you.

I would like to see a cursed warframe. One that does not itself have powers but is the host of a powerful and vengeful force that fights for control. This warframe would be sort of similar to baruuk in general theme but not in function. Using its abilities (one that would have a cool wispy shadow effect) will give more control to the shade (placeholder  for vengeful force) and eventually reaching a climax, the warframe would gain a large boost to its abilities and features but health will gradually be taken away (in a ramping fashion) as a price and this will be the balancing act that will allow this frame to give us a cool experience. Also I think it would be cool to design it to have all these shadowy effects. It could even have a sound effect similar to laughing when its bloodlust is finally sated. The shade could originate from the void and as a result, have a high affinity for our operator and could mimic the corrupting power it has. When out of the warframe and close to it, shadows would sort of leech out and drift toward the tenno as if trying to reach them.

Time Control Theme - Like Limbo but completely different (no rift mechanic)

Look at your DVR, you have a few buttons to select: Play, Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward, and Record. Let's add Slow motion too because we have fancy software installed.

Now let us turn these into abilities.

Play: ignore this one

Slow Motion: Create a localized bubble of time energy slowing targets and projectiles in the target area. Watch that cool explosion in slow-mo.

Pause: Stop the flow of time in a target area, halting enemy movement and projectiles. Need an example? This would allow you to fill the bubble with projectiles from all sides then cause it to collapse in on itself releasing all the projectiles at the same time from all directions you shot into the bubble at. Like what Limbo had at one point, but on a much smaller scale so smaller PCs do not explode from the quantity of projectiles held in one space. Enemies are not alerted to being stopped in time.

Rewind: In this bubble, time flows in reverse. Enemies will retrace their steps, reset their alert levels  and might even come back to life? Projectiles shot into this space will have their velocity reversed and sent back toward the attacker.

Fast forward: Might not use this one, just another speed buff. Cannot decide on area of effect or just a cast and forget. But basically, movement speed, casting speed, reload speed, fire rate, etc. would be affected.

Record: Might be a difficult thing to do in game, let’s make it a toggle ability. Toggle on record yourself doing some actions. Toggling off will reset your position from where you started the recording, but as you start moving a “time clone” will be performing your previously recorded actions for as long as your recording. Toggling again will start another recording and not stop the one that is currently in play. So you can keep making time clones for as long as you have the energy.

Best of luck to the other submissions.

I was thinking a frame that was based off the goddess Themis. Very regal, lots of poise but also intimidating. Maybe a chance to make another frame with fabric. Maybe a floating scale.

I know abilities aren't being considered but my take on them would revolve around the whole 'judgment' thing. If you're judged good(teammates) you get a buff, if you're judged evil(enemies) you get a debuff. Also i was thinking about her ult being a mass knockdown. Like gravity is crushing them, as if they're being brought to their knees before her to face retribution or something. Can be a toggle with increased cost and damage overtime. Just a quick 5 minute thought, so these abilities are probably unbalanced or just bad. I imagine her audio would amazing as well. The whole scale moving and scraping metal thing can make for some pretty cool sounds so the sound team can have fun with that.61B85qxiklL._AC_SY879_.jpg
