Open Call for Warframe Theme Ideas!

How about...

"The beast king". Able to transform and shape his limbs into maws and giant spikes that crush and impale his victims. Abilities can vary from making his arm into large jaws that grabs enemies and crushes them, breaking their bodies and armor. Unleashing a wild roar that summons spectral creatures to aid him both in attack and defence.
A final ability could be a nuke-like blast, where his body morphs and creates several eyes and mouths and blasts the room with fire and lightning.

This frame will threaten any food chain or hierarchy that dares challange his wrath.

A Warframe based on 8-bit/16-bit (arcade) games ala the League of Legends arcade skins. They could pixelate enemies to weaken them and use video game logic to their advantage, like creating respawnpoints or using glitches.

The frame would have a very particular visual style, with all ability effects being made up of pixel art and 8-bit sounds. Damage indicators from abilities would have their own stylized 8-bit font. Maybe even other effects could be stylized, like special sounds for jumping or taking damage.

My Idea for a new Warframe -

I was inspired to think of this Frame after I designed an Orokin Serpent in my dojo (it takes up 2 rooms and 2 hallways).

This Serpent is very old (older than any Servo Fish found in Fortuna) – Its natural habitat was destroyed after the Old War and it is the last of its kind.  It now roams the halls of our dojo, protected by its members, but also a protector of them.

About the Warframe: it has a pet – the Orokin Serpent – it is mechanical like Khora's Venari.  This Warframe can shed its skin  – however instead of a pelt like Chroma – this skin turns into 5 or 6 small serpents.

I have so many ideas I don't know how to put it in one XD I'll try though.

Can we do a Royal based theme Warframe and give it a female version and male (though that could be over time).

The basic idea is silver, gold, platinum. With the considered royals colors, red, purple, white, or royal blue. Ether or all doesn't matter. One of the colors or elements being the inbetweens/accents of the Warframe, or silver the tertiary, gold secondary and platinum can be primary. Either or, the colors are there XD. A few shards of the elements can poke out of the shoulder or a crown in the Warframe, or like protruding out of the wrist while being pulled out from the arm with light protrusion as well.  A knight like armor or queen/king attire

The rest is all a blur but those are just some ideas for the community  or artist!  ^^

I hope this is not against the rules >.< I would like to provide images for better understanding of my vision Crystal protrusion example Crown like example Crown like example (2)

I didn't think about name

This warframe is going to be like multitool. After you use first skill a crossbow or two sword is showed up from your arms. The other 3 skills will change depending on which weapon you are using.(4th skill shouldn't have to change) Character is starting with fists . First skill have 3 stage. Fists, swords and crossbow. And this is the negative side if you change your arms with swords you can't use your melee weapon. And if you change swords with crossbow you can't use your ranged weapon. And you can't cast second or third skill while using fists.

Passive Ability(Harmony): While your arms is sword your melee attacks is going to be faster.

First Ability(Change): This is changing your stages.(Fists/Swords/Crossbow):

Second Ability(Swords:Further-Corossbow:Life Bond):While in sword stage; it jump forwards and deals damage. It has short cooldown. While in crossbow stage: It will connect one of your teammate with enemy, if you deal damage to enemy your teammate will be healed. And if your teammate takes damage also enemy takes damage.

Third Ability(Swords:Meditation-Crossbow:Adrenalin Drain):While in sword stage; Makes an area where is healing you by hitting swords ground. And this area will protect you from all damages for little moment. While in crossbow stage: Movement speed increases a lot and crossbow will be reload quicker.

Fourth Ability(Fists:Smash-Swords:Death March-Crossbow:Angel Blassing):While in sword stage; For a moment it will increase your movement speed, attack damage and jump height. While in crossbow stage; Throws a big arrow and the arrow will be stuck in ground for a moment and creates an area. This area heals teammates and increases their attack damages. Teammates can't fall under 30 hp while in this area. While in first stage; Punches the ground marks the area and makes a wall around this area. Enemies can't walk or shoot through this wall.

A Summoner Warframe that summons "lesser warframes" to fight. It was a concept i wrote long time ago, Basicly there is the Summoner warframe that summons 4 different lesser warframes with the themes of a adventuring party, Knight - Bard - Mage - Archer. Summoning will be its 1st ability, 2nd ability probably will be ordering them to use their special ability. 3rd ability would be buffing these Summons with support ability.

And the ultimate/4th ability would be that you fuse with your Summon for a time, you gain new skills according to summon and you get a Spacial abilty depending on the summon you fused with.

Knight - Melee Dps.

Bard  - Healer buffer to party.

Mage - Crowd Control.

Archer - Ranged dps.

Well, basically since i'm a very indecisive person, 3 frames (though since it's a big if-else-else, it should count as one, depending  on how the operator will change in Duviri Paradox, or if the 2nd one is doable):

1.:If the operators don't get a buff, so they won't be able to do high level missions with just amps (or new abilities): A pure arcane (well, void) sorcerer type frame. Just DPS, no buffs.

2.:If the operators will be able to function as spellcasters: some sort of bioweapon-frame, which can build biomass on itself, then use it to modify its body. Like faster/stronger hands, and legs, or even more limbs. Exalted weapon: Ak-Twin-Grakatas (4x the pewpew with 4 hands).

3.:A Warframe themed warframe.

"Since time immemorial, mankind has seen purpose in the movement of the heavens: prophecy, salvation, an untapped frontier. We Orokin, skirting upon divinity, reaching into the void, have no need to revere stars and planets.

A vision of madness, surely the corrupting touch of the void, birthed a design madder still. A message to our people, that powers still existed beyond our control, and could not be ignored lightly.

A forgotten apostasy, now uncovered. A dance of the spheres, sundering all before it."

-A little Ballas narration, hearkening back to the old Prime Trailers

The frame would be manipulation of cosmic cycles, the far-reaching forces that shaped our universe, and will one day see its end. Explosive bursts of newly-forming spacetime, miniature stars coalescing from the dust, seas of primordial ooze holding untapped potential, the slow bleeding of life and warmth into the infinite blackness, reality fraying at the edges as all returns from whence it came.

Few more bits of flavor text:

"Extropy, a violation of natural order, turning the universe back towards its origin; yet what is the void, if not the meeting of the impossible and the inevitable?"

"Within the laws of thermodynamics lay the seminal tragedy of the universe, one you shall demonstrate"

"Life, the mechanism by which the universe comes to understand and refashion itself."

"Push and pull, just as the tides depend on this eternal conflict, so too do the stars and planets surrounding them."

"Even at the end, in absolute darkness, the hope of a new world lingers. You’ve held that hope aloft, and with thunderous force, you release it."

After Years of secret experimentation .... The corpus finally unleashes what they called the ultimate tenno killing weapon ... Behold a warframe crafted from steal and infested neurons, it's the most mechanical warframe to ever emerge....after serious investigation it was discovered that the corpus somehow where working with an actual tenno (a lost child) who aided in the testing and perfection of this warframe...this warframe stool as a worthy opponent to any tenno who stood against it...

Maybe a hydra/multi-headed-serpent frame (which sounds like 2 ideas but I just wanted to make it specific since "hydra" sounds like "Hydroid" and since the hydra is usually associated with dragons, people might focus more on that aspect than what really matters, the multi-headed-serpent part), I know a multi headed frame might be too much, but if it isn't then I think it could add a very unique silhouette to distinct it from other frames and we don't really have anything serpent themed

SENTIENT WARFRAME - Considering the current state and upcoming “new war” this seems to be an apropo theme.

This warframe was originally designed by the sentients to combat tenno, it allowed them to use void abilities against the tenno.  The Lotus with help from the Orokin captured the warframe and hid it away from all including the tenno.  The warframe in the hands of a Tenno is able to significantly amplify the tenno’s void abilities. She was afraid of what they might be able to do with access to this frame.  It is the only frame where the abilities are actually void damage.

We have had a void frame (limbo), an interdimentional frame (wisp), even a couple frames deal lightly with time but we have yet to see a frame deal with space, the emptiness and dangers of it
I suggest a frame named,
Locus (latin for space)
a frame built around the never ending emptiness and dangers of outer space

Ability 1 : Orbiting shower
Locus summons a swarm of small asteroids that hover around her and when she nears an enemy the swarm will move to causing a status effect named panic where the target affected is in a full blown panic and begins to wildly attack in random direction, the swarm will also cause damage that will go up the longer the ability lasts as the swarm builds up velocity

Ability 2 : Radial Vacuum
Locus recreates her home by draining all oxygen from the area causing a slowing effect and after a certain duration inflicting the panic and cold status effects to any who enter the area, enemies will take more damage from weapons and abilities after having been in the vacuum for at least 15 seconds as their muscles lose oxygen.

Ability 3 : Uranium Star
Locus summons a miniature star to the battlefield which for its duration will cause Radiation and corrosive damage in a a wide radius with the damage becoming greater the closer the enemies get to the star

Ability 4 Singularity
Locus creates a singularity within her chest, drawing and slowing down everything that comes within the radius, the closer things get the slower they move, this applies to enemies as well as the environment, doors, excavators, elevators, the singularity also brings all loot within it's radius to locus it also attracts bullets however the damage is greatly reduced as their speed diminishes the closer they get to the event horizon of the singularity

Passive : Oxygen boost
When shot at, the first enemy to fire will have their lungs drained of oxygen and be hit with the panic status effect for 5 seconds the oxygen taken from the enemy will be put into locus' muscles and increase movement speed and attack speed, for a few seconds. (cooldown 100s)

Since we have Khora who is a kavat themed frame why not have a kubrow/wolf themed frame? He would be focused on pack hunting using abilities like howl to buff party members and companions. Marking strong enemies to bring them down faster by the team. increasing sight and speed to hunt enemies faster and more efficient. Eventualy calling his own pack to the field.

The Veteran warframe

A being that was made for the attrition warfare of old. Designed to stand tall in the face of the most hazardous, desolate terrain known to man.

His body has been ravaged, damaged with scratches and gashes. The smooth surface of the normal warframe is alien to him; after his body has been damaged and remolded over a thousand times, it seized to have such luster and smoothness. His Masters threw him into the burning plains of Venus, made him fight a war of attrition against the rebels in the caustic pits of Ceres. He pushed through blast-wrecked landscapes while shards of crystaline shrapnel tore through his metalic skin. He was unstoppable, designed to weather any foe and march through any terrain.

Morality matters not, only victory. Whether it comes through leading couragous men out into certain death, or sitting back while a life-eating virus devours your foes from within, if it is what the day requires, they shall be considered equal.

The Attrition Warfare warframe has much less luster than most warframes. You can see the scratches upon his body. If his warframe ever had anything other than its grit to make it unique, he has long since forgotten what it was. His left arm has been torn off, replaced by a orokin-crafted prostetic that has long since fallen into disrepair. The original Orokin void cannon it hid has been replaced with a crude high-powered shotgun that would break off the arm of any lesser species. In its right arm, studs have been placed that fill themselves with the void-tainted energy of its host. Its head has been altered to resemble that of a WW1 storm trooper, with its original jaw removed and replaced with a crude gas-breathing apparatus. Once it was a piece of beautiful Orokin engineering, but it has since been repaired with Grineer tubing.

The overal idea behind it is that its a warframe that never stopped fighting, got damaged beyond its regenerative capabilties multiple times and repaired itself with whatever materials were on hand, be that orokin, pirate or grinneer weaponry, and recently even corpus void capacitors. It no longer has any innate abilities but instead works with its augmentations. Aesthetically it looks like a Krieg death corpsman meets ork-style DIY self-repair meets Sekiro prostethic meets warframe. Functionally its abilities would be based on its sheer force of will, its veterancy, the crude shotgun in arm, and the void grenade in its other arm. It also "evolves" as you forma it; each forma will increase the maximum wear and tear on him, up to 3 times.

His abilities, given that he lacks any warframe based abilities, reflect the DIY nature of his build. His first ability would be a generic tanking ability that would drastically reduce all incoming damage  and then grant him scaling health regeneration based on how much he was damaged, a more berserker like version of Iron SKin. However, it is his second and third ability that truly make him stand-out against the crowd. His second ability is the "Masterkey", which uses the Orokin mass accelerator hidden in his prostetic arm to hypercharge a jury-rigged weapon. This weapon is a custom build exalted weapon of the Veteran and, contrary to other exalted weapons, you can pick which one you take. Want to pin folk to the wall? Well, he comes equipped out of the box with a dragoon-esque supershotgun that turn an entire enemy wave into the Grinneer Space Project. However, by hunting down certain enemies and carrying out certain tasks, you can unlock more toys to play with, such as an Catchmoon-esque concussive blast, a explosive slug cannon, a dragonfire blast or even a jury rigged laser Amp. On his other arm are Tenno injectors that he pilfered in a ambush on Alad V's labs, intended to aid stablize his Zanuka. He has broken off the remote control and inserted 3 of the injectors into its arm. The stimulant injector, which increases damage, movement speed and stagger resistance, the Amalgam injector, which allows for 5 adaption stacks (Stacks with standard adaption, but still capped at 90% per element), and the Counter-Frequency injector which Alad V created for... "Competition issues", and causes you to deplete Corpus negation bubbles merely by dropping into them. His final ability calls down one of the most feared bio weapons of the Old War; the Fleshscourge virus, a self-combusting viral gas that does multiple viral procs before exploding into a fireball.

TL:DR - MIRROR THEME/REFLECTIONS -

You know how like Nova's Wormholes can make projectiles take another trajectory ?

How about a Warframe based around that to add in some "Skill".

A mirror based warframe that reflects everything thrown at it and harms ennemies who try to make use of it.
(Allow us to pick up mirrors kinda like Volt's shields)
Add in unlimited duration but a maximum of 5 Shields that can be oriented in ANY way.

Here's how I would "design" his abilities :

1 : Deploys a Mirror
Mirrors reflect Bullets/Projectiles/Beams/Allied abilities that have some time of projectile attribute to it.
Each "reflection" (Time something hits the mirror) Its power is increased by 30% for a total of 150% if all mirrors are Used. (That includes power strength for example from Wisps kamehameha)

Mirrors only work once per "Bullet".
Example : If Projectile (P) hits Mirror 1 (M1) and reflects onto Mirror 2 (M2) while M1 and M2 facing each other perfectly. Then P will reflect from M2 onto M1 and stop. To avoid trapping abilities/bullets in an infinite manner.

2 : Makes all "bullets" reflecting on the mirrors have infinite Punch through for X Seconds (So that it can kill multiple ennemies walking through the trajectory of things)

3 : Shatter all mirrors into Mirror Shards that form into a Mirror Ball that traps all "bullets" inside and explodes in a X meter radius to deal 200% of the total damage inside the ball.

4 : Increase the Damage bonus for each mirror reflection from 30% to X% (scaleable with ability strength) for X Seconds.

Passive : Gain 5 Health for each bullet reflecting on a mirror and hitting a target, also heals allies within a 7 meter radius.

I thought of this on the spot so it may be pure crap, let me know if you have suggestions to make this "proposition better"

Well, there have been plenty of void-themed ideas already, so I hope mine is different enough.

The general idea is similar to Equinox, he would have two forms. Unlike Equinox, however, he wouldn't be in complete control of his forms, and the gameplay should feel as if each of his forms was waging a war for complete dominion against the other.

He should be a champion of the moon or something that goes with the fantasy of having the moon as his crest. His dual nature would come from the dual nature that is given in many cultures to the moon itself, as both a caring mother, and a fierce warrior. His abilities would use the thematic of the light of the moon + the void to care for his allies and smite his enemies. I know you said you won't receive suggestions for abilities yet, but I think explaining how his passive, or something similar, would work is necessary for the fantasy to be explainable. The idea is that his abilities can be used both in allies and enemies, to protect and heal, or disrupt and kill, respectively. He is generally fragile, but makes up for it with mobility and general utility.

Now as I said, the fantasy is a fight between personalities, so the idea is that using abilities in a respective way should empower one form. This would work like some kind of bar, which begins neutral, in the center, and starts filling to one of the sides when using abilities that empower said side. The dark side of the moon represents the warrior and the light side represents the mother-like figure. Ideally, his abilities would deal more damage and enhance his mobility as the bar progresses towards the dark side, at the cost of healing and his other supportive abilities. Likewise, as the bar progresses towards the light, he should heal more, protect better and be more disruptive, at the cost of damage and mobility.

If the bar were to be filled in either side, this side would gain complete dominion over him, and he would receive a temporal burst of power that would turn him into an uncontrolable powerhouse. If filled towards the dark, he should become some kind of glass canon, dealing outstanding amounts of damage and having a lot of mobility, but becoming more vulnerable to damage and losing acces to all his healing/enhancements. This form should be focused on purging complete areas of enemies with big areas of effect. If filled towards the light, he should become a moving fortress and be the ultimate support, with big CC chains and heals/other things, but would be rendered harmless as he loses acces to all damage (including weapons) and is heavily slowed, forcing allies to stay near and clump. This burst of power should probably only last a couple seconds and either have some kind of internal cooldown or some other punishment like dealing self-damage equal to a percentage of current health. During the duration the bar should progressively return to neutral as the other side recovers control, and maybe he should be unable to gain bar progress, as to not elongate the effect.

Now, there is a little quirk that should make the gameplay harder, more attractive, and reward keeping the bar unfilled. Because dealing damage = more damage is too expected, ideally healing/protecting allies and disrupting enemies should make the bar progress towards the dark side (increasing damage and mobility) and dealing damage/moving around with abilities should make the bar progress towards the light side (increasing supportive abilities and overall survivability). What this means is that a constant and fluid variation of his gamestyle would ensure a permanent bonus to all his abilities. Ideally his appearence would slightly change as he leans towards a side, having a fairly different appearence when fully in one side. Essentially that means three appearences but in reality it would be more like his original model with some modifications and mostly new FX added on top, like dark tendrils surrounding him or little, bright moons rotating around him.

And that's basically it. Thanks for reading. 🙂
