Open Call for Warframe Theme Ideas!

I would love to see a bipedal/feral frame giving new movement options and leaning into more animal themes. A wolf that hunts with a pack of summons, or gives boosts when attacking the same enemy to other Tenno. I think it would help diversify the body types of Tenno.

How about a warframe based on the Operator's abilities? With a new war coming, wouldn't we start developing ways to expand our void powers or use them from the frame itself? After all, the warframes are more durable as well as agile than the Operator and can be modded, but none of the frames have abilities that use void damage like we can.

A sorcerer based warframe. Think Dr. Strange.

His four abilities does something by themselves but if you use them in certain sequences, it becomes something else entirely. Less emphasis on having the fourth ability being some uber-super ability. Basically easy to learn but hard to master.

Example:

abilities 1 -> 2 -> 1 -> 3 -> 4 : Super attack

abilities 2 -> 1 -> 3 -> 4 -> 1 : Super defense

Or have his fourth ability be like a final "confirmation" that you want to execute this spell in this sequence. Example:

Use ability 1->3->2, then confirm by using ability 4

Use ability 2->1->3, then confirm by using ability 4

You would have a bunch of possible combinations (use only two abilities then confirm, or repeat certain abilities then confirm).

An artillery warfare based frame. Think large, powerful, heavy cannons. Something that stands on a distance and unleashes utter destruction through sheer firepower from a single barrel.
Something that almost has to anchor itsself to make sure it doesnt knock itsself back from the blast,

A heavy weapon platform designed to shell fortifications without relent, a blast radius they remind enemies of how bad it can get when something has enough range to invalidate any defenses.
Shells that penetrate armor, shells that ram home into shields, acidic shells to melt the infested to a goop, Siege warfare mounted on a single, death spraying tank.

A frame entirely based around all-out combat.  This frame actually brings all his own weapons to the fight, no need for separate equipment:

Name:  Praetorian

Story:  A remnant of the Old War assault teams, Praetorian was unique in the fact that he brought all his own weapons to the fight.  A shoulder-mounted assault cannon capable of firing in three modes:  full automatic mode (assault rifle), sniper mode (sniper rifle), and scattergun mode (shotgun).  His custom sidearms mounted low on his thighs were just as deadly, firing a shocking number of rounds per second.  Finally, he carried an ornate Orokin spear, used both as a polearm and a short range thrown melee.  With a complement of tough shields and solid armor, Praetorian was a force to be reckoned with.  His signature weapons and menacing appearance struck fear into the hearts of all his enemies...and that's before he started firing.

My idea is that since he comes with his own weapons, you'd obviously be able to mod each one of them individually, with the side effect that you can't equip any weapons to him while you're playing him.  You'd be able to mod each mode of his primary weapons individually (assault rifle, sniper, shotgun) to allow for a completely customized approach, using one of his abilities as a swap between the three modes for his shoulder-mounted weaponry (i.e. Vauban's mines or Wisp's motes).  Also uniquely, since his primary weapon is shoulder-mounted, I believe it would be fun (if possible) to allow his melee weapon to be present in his hands while using the primary weapon, at least from a visual standpoint.

Sidenote:  I can't draw to save my life, so even if this doesn't get picked, could someone draw this design for me?  I'd be eternally grateful 🙂 Hope everyone enjoys the concept!  I think it would be insanely fun to play and could add an interesting new theme to the game that I haven't seen in any of the frames to date.

something i posted long ago:

Maus - Battlefield support
Even with the Tenno and the Warframes to fight for them the Orokin were forced to deploy regular soldiers into the battlefield.  To maximize their combat abilities squads would be accompanied by Maus.  Bringing greater firepower to the field was Maus' specialty, carrying the Grand Slam cannons which were used to supplement normal troops with a lethal barrage of artillery fire to devastate enemy ranks.

Base Health 125 (350 at rank 30)
Base Shield 90  (315 at rank 30)
Base Energy 100 (250 at rank 30)
Armor 190
Speed 0.95
Passive: Increased reload speed and damage with launcher type weapons

Appearance
Maus' lumbering gait looks more beastlike than human.  His hunched over posture seems more the result of the weighty cannons than anything.  Standing barely more than shoulder high next to Rhino, but all hard edges and angles like an armoured vehicle of ancient earth warfare. Rising over his shoulders are the twin barrels of the Grand Slam cannons.  Default colours a mix of greens and browns in a camouflage pattern.

Abilities:

1)  Bunker
Deploys a holographic barricade that provides cover to allies in the area effect by obscuring them from enemy fire
Allied forces within the field get an evasion bonus.   (Same as Titania's Evasion when in Razorwing)
15% at level 1 - 50% at max rank
5m diameter field (affected by range mods) [cannot be active at same time as Depot*]
10 Energy cost
15 second duration (affected by duration mods)

2) Depot
Normal soldiers can only carry so much.  Maus brings the extra ammo needed.
Allies within the field have infinite ammo  (same effect as primary or secondary weapon when "corrupted" by opening relic)
5m diameter field (affected by range mods) [cannot be active at same time as Bunker*]
10 Energy cost
30 second duration (affected by duration mods)

*If 2 Maus deploy Bunker and Depot overlapping both bonuses are granted but duration of both is reduced by 50%

3) Designate
Maus identifies targets of high threat and marks them for allies
Enemies marked take increased damage from all sources  (targets are marked using same method as Bladestorm)
5% increase at level 1 - 20% at max rank (strength mods increase bonus damage)
15 Energy per target marked
Max of 5 targets

4) Cannonade
Dropping to one knee and anchoring himself in place with retractable spikes on the back of the wrist Maus unleashes the devastating fire of the Grand Slam cannons.
Each shell does 375 Blast damage in a 2m radius with an increasing damage multiplier per shell but a restricted 90 degree horizontal arc of fire but range of the shots can be adjusted by vertical aim.
50 Energy activation cost, 10 energy per shot fired
Damage and fire rate are affected by primary weapon mods.
Base fire rate 1.6 rounds per second
Damage multiplier starts at 110% up to 175%

Elemental incarnation, starts with all 4 spells each one a base element.

1 fire 2 ice 3 poison 4 electric.

Double tap a power to fuse it with itsself and cast it. So 11 equals 100 plus ranks fire dmg while 12 equals 100 plus ranks blast damage.

Efficiency increases status chance but does not reduce cost.

Every 5 levels all 4 abilities get a damage buff.

Passive maelstrom. All status effects within x range gain 50% bonus duration.

Adrasteia:
A frame based on high hp, tanking and retaliation, taking damage to buff things like movement speed and damage or killing enemies to heal then building up something like Nidus’ stacks for their 4th ability.

1st ability: Whenever you take damage buff movement speed and weapon damage to a maximum of +200% doesn’t affect team members. 25 energy cost + 5 energy a second.

2nd ability: Dispel any active buffs and gain X% hp and deal X% true damage to any nearby enemies 20m radius. Low percentages affected by power strength.

3rd ability: Sacrifice 50%hp, CC nearby enemies (sleep) 20m radius, buff ally damage by X% affected by power strength, and buff hp regeneration by  X% affected by power strength, hp regeneration buff not removed by 2nd ability.

4th ability: Double hp maximum for all players and boost enemy attack speed by 200%, 1st ability now buffs by 300% and affects teammates.

Signature Weapons: Perseverance (Primary rifle crit based) boosts hp maximum by 20%. Resilience (Secondary single handed pistol status based) boosts ability strength by 10%. Vengeance (Melee single handed shield) dual wield with pistol, blocked damage is multiplied by 2 and released upon heavy attacks, boosts hp maximum by 30%, and attracts enemy agro when blocking.

Blacksmith/Forge Master

The theme centers around the idea of using a forge, and secondarily, to manipulate molten metal and fire.

Imagine the ability to open fissures of flame beneath your enemies, manually repair and increase your armor, or engulf yourself, your teammates, and your enemies in red hot molten metal. What if you could summon a living forge on the battlefield to construct armaments for your team in the heat of battle. Whether it be literal weapons or buffs that you can change to cater to your specific needs at the moment.

He/She would be a hulking mass on the battlefield; not too fast, but incredibly durable. Not quite the unstoppable force that Atlas is, but close. They would be able to support their team, but also be the wall they stand behind.

I still feel like what this game has been missing the most in terms of themes is a summon based frame designed around controlling an army instead of fighting it/her/himself, an Order to Nyx´s chaos. A frame thats squishy (say a small female frame) that summons and commands different units with her abilities. First ability summons basic cannonfodder, about 5-10 units. Second sets a certain type of behavoir(protect her and allies, giving health regen and dmg reduction, offensive which has them swarm out and give a firerate or dmg boost/ execute a single target, having all units focus on an enemy and having them weakened/slowed) third ability summons a bodyguard of sorts that changes weapon based on her 2(shotgun to protect/sniper to execute/assaultrifle for offense) and 4th could either be an exalted weapon behaving similarly or a siege platform to actually control and stand on, or another summonable unit. Passive could be a buff based on amount of active friendly units. Just call her M´Lady *fedoratip* in Suaheli and were good. Just examples for how it could shape out.

Centurion themed warframe with spear&shield, abilities based around team-members  in "formations". each formation locks team members into a formation around him/her, but gives bonuses to make up for lack of individual mobility.

Ex;

Phalanx: dome shaped formation: increased armor, increased vacuum radius, immune to knockdown

Wedge: wedge or V shaped formation: increased run speed, enemies have decreased accuracy, melee attacks gain chance to knockdown

Shield Wall: Line formation: damage reduction, increased enemy radar, can physically block choke-points, deals true damage to enemies that touch the wall.

etc. maybe add health regen, accuracy, weapon dmg, etc to the more stationary formations

thanks for asking!

Id like to see a return to the mythology inspired frames, like loki, wukong, atlas... so my proposal is...

THOR.

He should be durable, be decent at clearing small groups of enemies and probably have a high damaging attack good enough that people want to build for strength just for that one hit.

Id like to emphasize that this idea is based on the mythological figure and not the marvel character.

I know abilities aren't supposed to be included but, whatever.

My idea was that his hammer is an exalted primay weapon that shoots bolts of lightning on normal fire but can be thrown and left in a location like the javelin type guns on alt/charged fire.  Then he would also be able to call lightning down on himself and his hammer, even when the two are separated, so he could do moderate AoE in two different areas or in the same one twice.

Other less thought out ability ideas include a chain lightning type attack, a teleport to his hammer, an AoE thunderous shockwave that staggers enemies and finaly a self buff of some kind.

I think it's time for Warframe to get a Wereframe! A project inspired by the Zanuka project, it was originally a covert infiltrator frame, that was captured and spliced with Kubrow DNA in an effort to instill a sense of loyalty. Instead, it drove the frame berserk, so was considered a failure. A dual purpose frame, it will have stealth based abilities in it's base form, but have a berserk, high damage form reminiscent of a Kubrow werewolf. There are lots of opportunities here, depending on if you made the form change an active ability, or even a passive based on something like damage taken or kills made. Could have a synergy with Kubrow pets to make them more popular, as they don't see much use these days, too.

How about a pure Dps frame i have one in mind named atheon he comes from a place called the shattered realm and his abilities come from the dead tenno. The tenno built him from what little energy they had left. Since their souls werent put to rest they became angry only wanting revenge. The abilities he has. Are called childrens grasp. Which selects up to three targets in doing so opens a portal next to the enemy and hold the enemy in place. The second ability is shatter shift which is an AOE effect which opens a portal from the ground up doing damage and its a quick ability. Also what comes with atheon is he has a split ability called will of the children where in the shatter relam he can take control of targets if he has the energy to hold them. 3rd ability is a dome ability or trap called seal of the children. Which is a black orb that causes minor damage and causes the enemy to shoot at each other causes panic. Cannot be shot into you have to be in it to do damage. His fourth ability is wrath of the children and what he does is flys up and screams as the souls of the children come out dealing massive damage. His passive is walk the realm he heals and gains shields cannot do any damage. The draw back about him is that he cannot receive heals or shields  from other frames reason being the children's thirst of vengeance blinds the frame from seeing it as help. And thats my idea for a dps frame
