Open Call for Warframe Theme Ideas!

Pendulum based style of warframe where takes place of different realm different forms that can take strike to not just overwhelm its enemy's but also changes the enviroment to help it own along with destroying it enemy's.

As pendulum changes it forms of reality it changes the stakes of life and death real and unreal create and destroy 

as once he was a forgotten warrior trap between realms as the void calls of his reawaken to strike down the ones whom inprisoned him, The ones who have chained him angers him

for Pendulum makes a new light, new reality awaiting Pendulum calling for who he maybe he is who he can be as a creator or a destroyer 

change the fate or change reality.

After talking with a lot of players, there was a very strong interest in an end game warframe that would hopefully increase interest in those who have already run out of things to do in game. This warframe concept would be relatively simple and easily implemented and would fit into the story line without too much work. 

The concept for the warframe is that it is a blank slate. The player would be able to choose abilities from any of the in game warframes for their skills. Obviously the #1 skill could only be chosen from the available #1 skill slots of the warframes and so on. For example, if someone really enjoyed WuKong's 1, and Vauban's 2, and Garuda's 3, and Ember's 4, they could choose those skills as the skills for that warframe.

In order to create this warframe, players would be forced to essentially regrind for all the warframes in the game. They could not be bought or traded and had to be crafted in their foundry. Upon building completion the player would have to level them to 30 and then scrap them to gain their skills which would then be available to implement into the blank warframe. These skills can be interchanged in between missions based on the available pool.

The lore could be spun into a shadowy faction acquiring warframe parts from scouring the Galaxy. Orvis or Simmaris learn of this and inform the tenno who set out to obtain this warframe before it can be used by said faction. Upon acquiring it, the tenno realize this is a blank slate. It has no skills, and no history. They decide to scrap it but Orvis recommends that they attempt to insert <skill parts from each of the warframe> and see if that works. Trial and error leads to a warframe that can be custom tailored for any mission, any faction. The downside is that there is a small amount of incompatibility between the warframes parts and therefore the player will be cursed randomly with atleast one negative status effect either per mission or randomly changing in mission. For example, the player may start out with a bleeding debuff and the next mission have a hobbled debuff and the next mission may not be able to bullet jump. These effects are static and cannot be avoided due to a certain level of incompatibility within the warframes parts. 

Many of us feel that this would encourage a more custom approach to choosing a warframe and allow for an infinite number of builds. It would also increase interest in endgame content as well as allow players who love multiple warframes to try out different mixes of their favorites.

A Spider/Weaver based frame- Uses thread to wrap up, damage, or trap enemies, traverse the map, and/or aid allies. Thread is very adaptable and that should be reflected in the design; a very adaptable Warframe with unique ways to utilize its abilities that provides a lot of utility.

Some ideas:

They could potentially link a group of enemies together so that status effects and damage chain to all linked targets (set one on fire- all are on fire, put one to sleep- all are asleep, bleed one- bleed all) -- could be razor sharp wire that deals slash damage, could be elemental -- could link to enemies stealing their shields, health, and/or armor, and link with allies to share their shields, health and/or armor with their allies.

A doppleganger warframe that takes the form of enemies it kills and can raise from the dead, a small army of minions to fight or distract enemies based on the enemy alert level. So if theres no alert sounded then the minions act like normal enemies, and doppleganger can use some sort of stealth ability to sneak around and complete the mission like rescue or spy..However , if an alert is sounded then the minions jump into action and fight the enemy. And kills from the doppleganger count as scans.

I've had an idea for a vivisectionist-esque Warframe who uses the corpses of his foes to create golems and minions as my own approach to the long-requested summoner Warframe. I'm going to put forward that as my idea for a Warframe theme, with more of my notes to be added in later posts if the theme is added. Name Etymology: Sanskrit for “salvager”.

You know krieg from borderlands?

Maybe something like that, something that rushes in and is supposed to take damage, heres his pattern here.

He takes damage, he gets a boost up that lets him kill stuff faster, he gets more health from killing stuff, etc

Hes big and muscular but not as much as rhino.

he resembles the ash koga skin, but his mask is kinda like a futuristic gas mask. maybe

The Newborn.

Every Warframe in the game so far is, lorewise, a creation of the Old War to fight the Sentient. The Tenno and their Warframes the only beings who -can- make such a stand. Made from infestation and Helminth to do the impossible, BE the impossible.

But the people who live in the Origin system now aren't going to be content to just sit back and wait and hope the Tenno win (and don't genocide afterwards this time).

While not truly a "kit-warframe," one whose attributes and aesthetics (and exalted equipment?) are altered by the factions whose missions you do to get components and materials. A mixture of Grineer and Corpus, of Cetus and Fortuna. Samples of rare strains of infestation captured within special medallions, to then be forged by the system's masters of weaponcraft.

What factions you include in making the Newborn, it's strength is heightened with their weapons, or their totemic mods.

A Warframe built of the bonds nurtured throughout the system, a New Weapon for the New War.

A grotesque frame that injects her enemies with her offspring, each one unique and fulfilling a different role on the battlefield. The longer they incubate the stronger they become, eventually bursting out and revealing their true form.

A gambler style warframe that took a heavy risk in the past causing her to be sealed away for...a long time? Due to some interactions between factions around the (veil?) proxima, the old seal was weakened, allowing for our new warframe to be released. Now in a new era, she displays a propensity for risk and reward.

Malice1(because idk, I wanted a cheesy name, ok?) is a frame based on increasingly risky abilities/decisions. Designed to have a kit that has both "negative" 2 and positive utilities, Malice will always swing a battle - not just for her and her allies, but maybe enemies at times.

Abilities 3:
Her 1 ability could be the lowest risk ability - with only minor gains or losses for only Malice.
Her 2 and 3 ability could be used for her/her allies and her enemies, respectively
Her ultimate ability could be a bigger, fight-altering aoe that affects EVERYONE, friend or foe.
 

1 Forgot to mention the name is not intended to be final
2 Speedva is a style of play using a utility set up around a "negative" interaction.
3 Abilities are not being considered in this phase, but I feel like this rough mock-up could help provide context to the kit.

A frame based around utilizing the thorny, symbiotic vines that wrap around their body. Powers could include grabbing enemies and lassoing them back as ensnaring bombs, creating pillars of vines that act as terrain (blocks attacks, can wall latch), and reflecting damage by overgrowing the thorns.

The Design Council will then vote to determine the winning Warframe theme. Design Council voting will begin on Friday, March 20 at 1:00PM ET and run until Thursday, March 26 at 1:00PM ET.

After the Theme is Chosen:

Community artist, Eornheit will create the Warframe’s official design based on the chosen theme! Once the design is complete, we will make an open call to the community once again to design the Warframe’s Abilities. Follow each phase here!

The community-created Warframe’s name and final design will be revealed on Saturday, July 11th during the TennoCon 2020 Live Stream!

I think a shadow warframe would be cool. the first abiliity would be a buff called strenthing shadow which would give him a damge buff his second would be sticking shadow which would act like a slowing effect on enimes his third would be turning into a shadow and while in shadow mode he cold attack he also gets a buff. forth would be grim and he would make a scyth out of shadows and use it to attack and this would be an exaulted weapon and would be able to throw out energy slashes like excalabur except it has more weight behind it. his design of course would have him with like a wispy cloke made of shadows around him.

I just had an idea for a warframe(I mean,not me,but a person in my Alliance.also,I planned the abilities and name).His name will be Zünden("detonate" in german),an explosion themed warframe.

1st ability:Exterminate

Sends a grenade that has an explosion delay.The more enemies killed,the more Napalm he will receive(Nidus' stacks,basically).

2nd ability:C4

Activating it replaces your weapon with the C4s.He launches a C4,which consumes Napalm.Deactivating the ability detonates them.The more enemies killed,the more Napalm he regains.

3rd ability:Cluster Force

Zünden releases all of his Napalm into a buff for nearby allies(reload speed,crit chance and crit damage).Once deactivated,he reabsorbs all of his Napalm,just to use it in a flurry of explosions.

4th ability:Kamikaze

Zünden turns into a stampeding,self-destructive force.Deactivating this ability makes him take a fourth of his max health into an explosion with a 1.5x damage multiplier,while also using all of the accumulated Napalm as a catalyst,which its bonus damage is multiplied by 2x.

What do you guys think?

Hp:250 at level 1,while capping at 750 Shields:75 at level 1,while capping at 925 Armor:maybe 100

A tower-shield user, his name is Goliath. Using his shield he pushes mercilessly through enemy lines without hesitation. Background story is that his legendary prowess was a last line of defence for the tenno before the great collapse, in defending against the sentient he has long lost his original operator and fell deep into the depths of lua's crevices. Forgotten and lost to time yet ever so stronger, Goliath itches to crush the enemy with his shield once more.

Edit: (forgot to state the theme) theme could say is something along the lines of heavy knight or something like Black Prior from for honor.

A Warframe that can control air

Ability 1: Propels self forward by the force of the air.

Ability 2: Use pressurized air to knock back enemies (no damage)

Ability 3: Drain air out of enemies, dealing damage over time.

Ability 4: Engulf enemies in a fearsome tornado, dealing heavy damage. Can be combined with Volt and Emeber's abilities for some legendary effects.

A ghost-like warframe would be cool! With abilities like posses: where you can control and become one of the enemies for a short period of time and be unnoticed by the enemy until you attack them, using powers and/or weapons of the possesed enemy. An ability to posses the guns of the enemies where they would float, and shoot them instead and abilities where you could rip an enemy's soul out of it's body for a short period of time and during that time being able to shoot it's soul, dealing more damage than shooting its physical body. Than when the soul would be thrown back into its body it would stun the enemy for a second before attacking!

How has no one thought of the ultimate stealth frame?! A Mimic Frame!!! Maybe allow certain enemies to be mimicked? Give you eximus abilities while mimicked and similar abilities while unmimicked? I’ve got a whole idea but I know DE will make the ultimate choice but still. MIMICS!!!!
