Open Call for Warframe Theme Ideas!

A Warframe created by the Orokin and positioned in the tower under the control of the Neural Sentry that can utilize the defensive capabilities of the Orokin tower. In essence a Corrupted Orokin Warframe whose original purpose was to protect has now been corrupted by the invaders that have been accessing the void over the years (ie:Infested Corpus,Grineer, and us) utilizes Void keys to draw on certain powers from the void, Much like Vor's Void key that he utilizes as a shield, ranged beam, and teleport but with different keys with different powers.

I would like to see a Spider themed Warframe.       Spiders are self reliant, versatile and come in all shapes and sizes. They can spin webs with all sorts of different uses from strengthening their home, to catching prey, to scaring away predators, and becoming almost invisible by blending in with their environment.

A spider Warframe would be versatile in that, it could be either sex, be used to defend, attack, reinforce teams while weakening the opposition (invading force). Spiders are graceful, strong, fast, resilient and intimidating.

This would be a warframe with a defiant nature, that would stand boldly, holding it's own while protecting allies. What do you think???

If I had to pick just one theme, I'd like a blacksmith themed warframe. Probably named Vulcan, and probably with an exalted hammer. Could be based around buffing ally defenses, weakening enemy defenses, something like that. I remember seeing a concept a while back for a frame that made exalted weapons other players could pick up and use, which could also be really interesting.

Mechanoid frame, he was a rare Orokin frame that had the power to transform his body into powerful war machines, a flying hawk that provided reconnaissance and rallying buffs to his allies, a turtle with the abilitiy to make it rain lead from the sky above or provide a bastion of safety for his comrades, a cheetah with the speed of a lightning bolt hitting the ground shocking all those that are around him, a slippery snake that waits in the shadows for his prey to appear then slowly carefully strangle the life out.

in the arsenal the player can choose 2 forms to take from hawk, turtle, cheetah, or snake so they have some flexibility for missions
each form has 3 abilities with the 1st one being to switch between forms of course think equinox

hawk (reconnaissance and utility buffing)
2. eyes in the sky- for a small duration you provide reconnaissance on an area surrounding you letting your allies see enemies caches and collectibles. it is affected by ability range efficiency and duration
3. rallying caw- for a small duration every ally on the map gets a small buff (maybe damage or crit) to targeting enemies inside the chosen area. affected by ability strength range duration and efficiency
4. rain of feathers- for a devent duration a small area will have hawks circling around it any enemies that enter the area are picked up for a small period of time taking DOT procs the longer they're held. affected by ability strength range duration and efficiency

turtle (defensive buffs and long range damage support)
2. sky full of lead- mechanoid turtle hunkers down unable to move but can launch mortar shells at a long distance away from himself. affected by ability strength range duration and efficiency
3. mortar select- similar to ivara quiver you can select different mortar types to launch with sky full of lead each having a different energy cost based on effectiveness so maybe like a healing mortar 25 energy a sleep mortar 40 energy normal mortar 5 energy just as examples. affected by ability strength range duration and efficiency
4. the iron bastion- if not already hunkered down hunkers down and emits a barrier around himself giving armor and shield buffs to all allies inside it mortars also recieve a small buff to their effects while iron bastion is active. affected by ability strength range and efficiency

cheetah (speed and self buffs)
2. spirit of the cheetah- a normal move and AS speed buff and allows access to her other 2 abilities. affected by ability strength duration and efficiency
3. speed of the cheetah- on each kill during the duration AS increases more and more (prolly capped at a certain percent) can be reactivated like chroma 3 to keep the buff going. affected by ability strength duration and efficiency
4. pride of the pack- for a small duration you can summon the other 3 animals to assisst you in your fight each applying their own buffs to you (very costly energy wise) (and the buffs would be headshot damage, armor and crit). affected by ability strength duration and efficiency

snake (stealth and single target damage)
2. shed scales- for a small duration get a speed buff and go invis each sneak kill in this state refreshes the duration. affected by ability strength duration and efficiency
3. suffocate- coil yourself around one enemy and quickly deal high damage on them if invis bonus damage is procced the damage is increased even more. affected by ability strength and efficiency
4.poisonous fangs- for a small duration as long as you stay invis any kills you get through sneak kills or suffocate will release a burst of poison spit from the enemy applying toxin to all enemies in range and blinding them. (maybe a high cost or low duration either should work). affected by ability strength range duration and efficiency

now i know these may sound too strong but it's a good starting point imo ik you guys will make balance changes if needed i just really like the idea of a frame like this especially after playing equinox

Crash: Blast-based Warframe

I have one question, and one question only: EXPLOSIONS?!?!
"DID YOU KNOW THAT NINETY-SEVEN PERCENT OF ALL LIVING THINGS ON PANDORA IN THE ORIGIN SYSTEM AREN'T EXPLODING RIGHT NOW? THAT'S ███████ BORING, BUY TORGUE GET CRASH!"

This would be a frame that rewards blowing everything up with no care for your own well-being. With great stupidity comes great reward.

Passive: Self-Stagger is replaced (maybe for certain weps idk) by 20% Self-Damage (so basically pre update but nerfed a bunch so you don't kill yourself constantly). Self-Damage done is added to abilities. (with some limit like Volt)

Alternate Idea for Passive: Damage done with first three abilities adds damage to Big Bertha. Reduced chance (or maybe removed) of Self-Stagger

1: Cluster Shot: Launches a small swarm of mini rockets that seek enemies and have a forced knockdown on impact. Does a bit of damage, but meant more for CC and less for killing things.

2: Powder Keg: Adds increased blast radius and blast damage to abilities and weapons.
Alternative idea: Adds increased blast damage to abilities and weapons. Adds more blast damage the closer you are to the nearest enemy.

3: Implode: Sucks in nearby enemies in and Crash implodes, dealing a bit of damage and gives affected enemies a 50% weakness to Blast damage

4: Big Bertha: Summons an exhalted rocket launcher. Stays active for 10 seconds or so. Blowing up enemies adds to timer. Hard to sustain, but great damage. Maybe charged by previous explosive damage.

I have no idea how balanced any of this would be, but I know one thing: Blowing things up is fun.

I'd really like to see a frame that uses mimicry. Something that would help introduce aspects of the game to newbies (like implementing something similar to sentients' adaptive shielding or being able to use another squad members' ability) while still having an element of surprise.

Mimicry isn't something we've seen before in the game, thematically, and I think it's very realistic to use and balance because it is already based off of things present in the game. It would also give people the ability to get an idea of how other frames work, even if they have never played them before.

You could also fashion it to implement stealth and team synergy in interesting ways. It would be relatively flexible to make interesting.

EDIT: Would be nice to add that mimicry could buff Endo rewards, because in theory, if you learn from the enemy and your squad, wouldn't you potentially get more Endo...? 😉

A Greed or Thief themed Warframe. It's first ability could knock out enemies to steal their credit drops, then using those credits, or a resource gained from getting credits, for powerful money fueled attacks. Inspirations could be Final Fantasy Gamblers/Bravely Default Merchants, the ability in Yakuza 0 that let's you throw a bunch of money into the air to distract random encounters, and the Faust Hat from DMC V.

Edit: Remembered that Octopath also had a character that could summon powerful attacks by buying a powerful hero's help for one battle.

ESTRADA

GENDER: MALE

PROGENITOR ELEMENT: IMPACT

The Commando Warframe. Able to buff allies and himself and have an advantage on the field with help of his Allies.

1:  Divine Command: Estrada will buff all his allies with extra health and shield as well as Their weapons for 25 seconds. The time limit can be extended by applying ability duration mods

2:  Sense: Able to locate enemies through the Walls within a 30 Meter Radius. Radar range can be changed by Ability Range.

3: Aerial Boost: Estrada activates his jet pack Which is located in his back and is able to fly around as long as there is fuel. The fuel meter is found above the abilities list next to the companion cycle. If you have run out of Fuel, you will exit Aerial Boost and you will exit aerial boost and you have to wait for the fuel to recharge

4: Just Like Ivara’s quiver, you are able to Cycle through Three companions and able to choose which one to summon

Aurantia Sentry: Deploys a Mobile Quadruped Turret that has an Alloy Armor Value of 150 and Shield Factor of 300 and a Robotics health value of 500. These can be raised by ability Durability. These turrets fire bullets that do Puncture Damage and Slash. The base damage can be raised by Strength. If the Turret is destroyed, it will be disabled for 3 seconds before blowing up, damaging enemies within a 5 Meter radius of it inflicting blast damage to the enemies as well. You are able to tell the drone to hold position or Deactivate by dissapearing by Two Aurantia Sentries can be summoned at the same time.

Koel Drone: An airborne Drone that Excels at Aerial Bombardment. Each Explosive Dropped by the Koel deals blast damage. However, The Koel has a Alloy Armor Value of 100, a shield Value of 300 and a Robotics Health Value of 425. These can be raised by applying Ability Duration Mods. When the Koel is destroyed, it will explode, damaging Enemies caught in the 10 meter blast. You are able to deactivate the drone by going up to it and deactivate it like telling a specter to hold position. No explosion is caused by deactivation and it will dissapear. Only One Koel Drone can be summoned at a time.

Yarrow Medical Drone

6 Yarrow Medical Drones are spawned and they are made to follow any player, specter, or shadows of the dead with Missing health and heal them over time. If there are no players with missing health, the drones will follow the Estrada player who summoned the drones. The drones have an  Ferrite Armor value of 500, a shield value of 200 and a Robotics Heath Value of 600. Only 6 of these drones can be active at a time.

PASSIVE: Receives 10%+ Reload speed, and 10%Damage whenever he uses a primary Weapon. 20%+ Reload speed, 20%+ Damage, and 15% Status chance when he uses any Type of Rifle.

SIGNATURE WEAPONS

Primary: an Tenno Assault Rifle that acts like an normal AR. When Estrada Uses it, The magazine size is increased as well as the Fire Rate by 25%+

Secondary: A tenno Side Arm that acts like a Tenno M9. When Estrada uses it, it gains a 30%+ Damage Bonus, 90%+ When Downed.

Drawings will be added when I edit this

My submission is:

A scavenger type Warframe that uses "Excess Ammo" on the battlefield to augment/buff his abilities or weapons (or both). Could also have squad buffs.
He has an "Excess Ammo" bar that displays collected ammo for types unusable by the player. This is based on what weapons you equip.
Example: If you have a pistol and a rifle equipped then you would only be getting "Excess Ammo" from snipers/bows, shotguns, or heavy weapons. Different ammo types fill up this bar more depending on rarity. Could have a passive debuff where the more ammo he has on him, when taking damage some could be dropped.
Ammo pads will not give excess ammo!

Carabossa, The Witch Warframe, modeled after the likes of Snow White's Hag and Margaret Hamilton's Wicked Witch of the West, and named after the Wicked Fairy of the Sleeping Beauty ballet.

Akin to Harrow, she was sealed away long ago by Margulis, as Carabossa is a...unique Warframe, an experiment in adding Sentient tissue and matter into a Warframe. Combined with an unstable Tenno, this made her a danger to other Tenno as much as their enemies. Officially, Carabossa and her Tenno were both lost in battle, but were instead one of, if not the, first cryogenically frozen Warframe, with a unique Cephalon ensuring she was taken care of, and much of the records about her were expunged.

There was, however, a second reason she was kept safe, secure, and bound. She is Margulis' Avenger, awakened by the Lotus' betrayal to exact vengeance upon her. The questline where she would be acquired has the player track and follow her around planets as she hunts the Lotus, while also clashing with the player, as she believes that it is likely the two are working in tandem. The quest concludes with both Tennos leaving their Warframes to speak frankly of their fears, their obligations, and their hopes for the future, before Carabossa's Tenno, little more than raw Transference energy at this point, fades away.

Carabossa herself resembles a classic wicked witch, hunched over, carrying a cane while not in combat, with a nearly skeletal form beneath ragged clothing. Being part Sentient, she leaves behind faint trails of iridescent energy when she walks. She is slower than most other Warframe, given her theme of 'old crone'. This would be around 10% lower than the average base movement speed. Her armor and health are also extremely low, though supplemented by a stronger than average Shield.

Carabossa's abilities are themed around darkness and dreams, cursing foes while granting allies buffs akin to the forces they fight. Like Nekros, she is, in terms of flavor and general demeanor, more villainous than the average Warframe, and is associated with shades of grey, black, and green.

Her first ability shoots a bolt of dark energy forward, dealing a decent amount of damage, while also having a high chance of putting the target to sleep. At higher ranks, this creates a small AoE burst upon hitting an enemy.

Her second ability supplements her inferior mobility, allowing her to teleport to markers she places on the ground (think of Reaper's teleportation ability from Overwatch). This creates a small burst of dark energy that damages enemies in the immediate vicinity of the teleport. At higher ranks, this can briefly stun enemies hit by it.

Her third ability allows her to mimic the Sentient Shield ability, granting herself, or nearby allies, a buff that, while active, increases their defense to certain elements as they take damage from said element. So, the more they take Electric damage, the greater Electric resistance they build up, while the buff is active. As it ranks up, the buff lasts for longer periods of time. While her first and second abilities have low Energy costs, this one has a relatively high cost, requiring the player to use it with a degree of care and strategy, as overuse can quickly drain her of Energy.

Her final ability/ult creates a large zone of twisting, thorny shadows and Void energy. Enemies within this zone take continuous low damage over time. This inflicts True Damage, which is not affected by enemy resistance or weaknesses, and, in lore, is the ability that makes her especially a threat towards the Lotus and other Sentients. Higher ranks increase the damage slightly, while slightly lowering its large Energy cost.

Thank you for your consideration, and I hope you enjoyed.

how about a fear warframe / dream eater

Name possibility: Gilgameth

stats: low heath and armor but ability's change their overall stats based on fear. (fear is a counter that goes down as your you are attacked or over a long period of time"gain armor and heath)

No order for possible skills:

skill totem  (damage and drain a portion of you enemies life "fear up,invulnerable") Description: transform into your enemies fear "stack fear to grow stronger"

skill Oblivion (puts enemies to sleep based on fear and range mod "fear adds a bit more duration to sleep) Description: enemies faint at the sight of your face

skill Baku (devour your enemy's dreams gaining fear and heath) Description: inhale the soul of those dreaming as you plague them with nightmares.

skill trepidation (Using a potion of your fear: Enemies fear living) Description: enemies attempt to take their lives to escape you.

passive (your fear grows as enemies don't know where you are "undetected")

Description on the design of warframe: the warframe hides its true face maybe a mask or a wrap of some sort this could be a male of female warframe thin body, but demon in nature

i thought of gastly's cloud of smoke when thinking of this frame.

hope you guys like the idea 🙂

A Warframe themed around crystals and the folklore they have gained through the years. With a body that can reflect and refract light they would make for a formidable offensive instrument. They could also draw upon a reserve of healing energy or even see enemy weaknesses. With the legends around crystals the possibilities are vast.

I think it would be an interesting idea to make WARFRAME-KUVA
In appearance he resembled a lich in part and in part a warfame that gave birth to him.
Abilities part inherited from the progenitor and part random.
And the chance of birth was not higher than 10%. With a lich, like Kuva’s weapon, but without information about procreation, it’s another weapon. And during the killing of a lich, the birth of Barthenheim-Kuva. It would be interesting I think.

My idea is a mechanical/robotic lycan type warframe. Hati the Lycan warframe. It will be a newly developed warframe in the lore (if DE approves. They can't all be ancient or forgotten). This warframe will have 4 forms (which are his 4 skills). Skill 1 is a warewolfesque biped form. Skill 2 is a quadruped form. Skill 3 is a raptoresqe form similar to that of the Corpus raptor. Skill 4 is formless similar to Alad V's Amalgam creations or sentient beings. Each form will have its strengths, weaknesses and limitations in accordance to existing enemy types in lore. The transformations will look more mechanical and not instantaneous. Forms/skills will consume energy, health, shields or credits depending on the form selected and drains from that pool.

I don't know if it was said yet, but another farming frame would be really nice. Or even one that's animal based like Khora, except that have a kubrow instead. They could merge with their companion to be tanky or stay separate to be more stealthy or aggressive/offensive.
