LikeABawsh Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Oh, so we should just nerf everything thats effective at killin' S#&$ eh? Also, who the hell are you to dictate when damage is too high, or that the armor 2.0 system won't change S#&$? What the hell man, stop acting like your opinion is the absolute "MUST" of what should happen.
taiiat Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 This is pointless. Why should they nerf Nova to the new player level when you have to farm her at Europa? why doesn't Excalibur deal 50,00dmg with Radial Javelin? he's located on Pluto. there are many other frames on higher level planets, that are even further from Mercury, that don't follow this crap justification you've suggested. Put a Mastery Lock on her. That way the massive amount of Nova's will effectivly decrease with time because not everyone can make her right away. that changes nothing. sure, players will take longer to have the frame. but most people will be using it anyways, just later into the game. so nothing changes. The fact that missions become easier as you progress, to the point of being laughable is simply a vary basic part of anygame where you get stronger as you progress, like skyrim, borederlands and pokemon just to name a few out of hundreds. games like Skyrim and Borderlands attempt to 'solve' the gear creeping by making content later on turn to the slightly ridiculous for most players. i turn your attention to Sith Lords(the mages using electric bolts). regardless of what you did, there'd still be plenty of them that would slightly strafe around a corner, zap you(dead), and then slide back behind the corner. all you'd usually see was a lightning bolt, not even the NPC. as the game progressed, the chance of them to just snipe you from the other side of any area increased. Borderlands, 'solves' the gear problem by making the game more and more focused around dying, but not dying, as the game goes on. and also making more explosions, and bigger ones. by the time you get to 'raid boss' things, the explosions cover the entire map and will probably kill you instantly. those are the mainstays of games of old. Warframe does similar things by disregarding the entire ideal of the fast-paced third person shooter that Warframe is supposed to have, by creating enemies that simply take longer to defeat, and that is all. nothing else changes. Warframe is far from the first game to disregard it's entire intention for the game as the game 'progresses' - and titles in the past should be learned from, see the mistakes, and find something that works better. there is no rulebook that states every Video Game is required to make the same mistakes as the games before it, and then fail in the same aspects as the games before it. to suggest so is ridiculous.
Techno_Panda Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Just make it so that the corrupted mods give more benefit than the normal mods, but also make the consequence larger aswell. EG (using made up numbers) Serration at max would be 100% extra damage High Caliber woube be 150% dmg with 150% more recoil.
