Please could you fix gas to scale on mods like every other DOT element

Dear DE,

While it is nice that gas now deals gas damage on procs, it seems off that unlike every other DOT element gas can't scale of elemental mods; this drastically drops the damage power and makes it significant less useful to build than either of its constituent elements, even though it takes double the slots to include on most weapons.

Can I suggest that, as the only combination DOT effect, you refine this to account for both heat and toxin mods equipped on weapons; this would actually provide an incentive to use gas.

It would not even be enough, lmao. They need to keep the quadratic scaling to make it even playable. Something like ((1+heat mods+toxin mods)/2)² would make the element playable. Do you know what I think went wrong? They probably coded something like ((1+modded gas)/2)², excect there is no gas mod so it isn't even considered for the damage calc. If they dont make it scale like this there would be ZERO reasons to play it even over electricity(which isn't even played).

they changed it ; non of the dot element work like this now.

heat is 0.5 * (1+heat mods) * base damage

toxin is 0.5 * (1+toxin mods) * base damage

but gas is  0.25 * base damage

if it was  0.25 * (1 + heat mods + toxin mods) * base damage ; it would be better. And they should increase the area of effect. Actually, 3 meter is too small to justify a ration of only 0.25.

Im sure they made a coding mistake. The 0.5 you see in the beginning of heat/toxin/electricity is actually a ((1+modded element)/2). When it comes to Gas, there is no 0.25* something. It is simply a ((1+modded gas)/2)². Since gas is always 0, it results into 0.5², so 0.25.
