pariahlord Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I swear, DE contradicts themselves SO much. What happened to not wanting the game to be a grind? They said they want to fix that, but then they just keep adding more and more grind, over and over again... its the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, the communication between departments must be a mess
Brasten Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 How about special key missions that let us choose the resources contained within'? Or maybe an illusion of choosing by attempting to craft keys using a mixture of parts/coordinates/whatever-floats-your-boat to get to places with randomly predetermined but well allocated resource combinations. Wait, you mean let us have some choice in the outcome of rewards instead of it being totally RNG? Are you mad? What would follow would be beyond mortal comprehension, like going to speech and debate camp with an Ancient One. Also... In before Grineer Armory Keys and Corpus Vestry Keys.
SaintLucifer Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I can see it already...all the spam on recruit chat... poor thing will keep crashing again.
Hazmatzone Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So much pessimism even before we tested anything, no wonder DE is frustrated, we automatically assume everything they do is/will be bad.
JerryMouse13 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 You know given that we equip these keys like equipment, it almost sounds like they're going to be persistent, instead of being consumable. Could be wrong though, I'll have the answer when the patch drops.
KvotheTheArcane1 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So much pessimism even before we tested anything, no wonder DE is frustrated, we automatically assume everything they do is/will be bad. Given their track record with RNG/keys excuse us for being a bit wary of MORE keys. (but yes, we really should wait until they release.)
LunchBoxKilla Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 No no more DE I hate the OD maps with pure distilled hate....Th,ere is no reason NO REASON I should be forced to go into your new playground for the odd chance of S#&$ I have to grind over and over again just to get... Go home DE you're all drunk.

We would be throwing parades and sending DE beer if they would just implement mod stacking.
Madotsuki Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) A complete waste on manpower and hours. So instead of actually working on re-making existing content to make the game more fun, they waste time to make a vault that only applies to ONE tileset, which requires EVEN MORE keys to access, and its only reward are "Corruption" mods that, while they sound potentially interesting, will probably be ignored by the majority of the playerbase in favor of existing "mandatory" mods, and Armor 2.0 isn't even out yet so these mods might actually become imba VERY shortly or be useless until then? A good job DE, simply BRILLIANT. There's a billion more important things they should and could be doing right now, these vaults ain't one. I'll hold my reservations on the mods themselves though, if done right they COULD be an interesting addition to the game. Edit: Also, they still haven't fixed the performance/optimisation issues on Derelict. Seriously, I refuse to play anything on OD that's not Defense (single tile that won't mess up my framerate) and Lephantis (Nekros, boss fight) because there are several rooms that just obliterate my framerate for some reason. Why can't they fix THAT first?? Edited October 9, 2013 by Madotsuki
Gorthandel Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) cause we all wanted more grind/rng/foundry sitting... right? really though: more grind more rng more foundry sitting :( So you want to do it once and get everything so you don't do it again? What would happen to the shelf life of the game if there was no grind? Use your loaf mate. Edited October 9, 2013 by Gorthandel
shut Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Disable DX11 from the launcher options (the gear icon near the X), it's a workaround that allows you to get in Derelicts witout instability Really? It seems much more stable on my low-end system, actually. (Funnily enough, it improved the performance too. I can run with DoF + HDR + Bloom + Simple shadows on DX11 with better performance than having everything disabled on DirectX 9.)
Phoenix86 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 It's not that bad. :) Let's wait and see how expensive those keys are and how long they take in the oven~ ^ this We dont know anything about these keys... you could have waited making this thread.
semigod22 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 classic hate train here before the S#&$ is even out. also big LOL to people who think grinding in a game like this can be changed. tell me some changes that would make grinding not needed.? go tell me... people NEED something if they do a special type of mission or anything. so of course they get new mods, weapons, frame parts. how the hell u want to patch out grindin in a coop game??
alphex Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) I LOVE KEYS Edited October 9, 2013 by alphex
JerichoFayne Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So they put a Vault in the Void so you have a 25% chance per team mate to use a key to unlock it after you used a key to unlock it. Fixed it for you.
JerichoFayne Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I'm pretty sure they learned their lesson after the poopstorm of Update 10. But by all means, continue making assumptions and (until proven otherwise) false accusations. How exactly does an additional tier of nested grinding with a base 75% chance of failure indicate to you that DE has learned anything from their past mistakes? This is the buggiest, crashiest area of the game to play in a game where host migration is the rule rather than the exception. So even if you start out with 4 players with different keys, there is no guarantee you'll end up with 4 players by the time you find this vault.
Transmorphic_Wyvern Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I LOVE KEYS Why don't you stick your dragon key into my orokin vault <3
SlyBoots Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) laughed out loud, thanks, archistopheles. :D edit: and then jerichofayne had to remind me that you need a full team with each member bringing a different key... oh well... good thing, not many people have given up on warframe and the clans are still going strong, right? ... right? Edited October 9, 2013 by SlyBoots
Arlayn Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I am happy with this new idea... looks like fun... maybe BPs will drop in that vault that are ultra rare and valuable with only a small few being lucky enough to obtain them... I am game...
LostAlone Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 The announcement says that the rewards are new mods, right? So we could be looking at a Damage + Multishot, or we could be looking at Cold Resist + Knockdown recovery speed. Mmhmm. Excuse me if I make assumptions about exactly which end of that spectrum I'm expecting things to appear at.

General_Krull Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 But it's increased gameplay to do the same repetitive task to do different type of same repetitive task! Maybe we need a mod that reduces grind and rng and increases fun?
