Burrowing Corruption Raid Concept

The plague star the tenno has eradicated from the Plains of Eidolon multiple times, with the help of the phyllaxises as it helped neutralized it, or so we thought. Deep below the ground its chorruption has spread deep within earths crust. For months the surviving infestation from the plague stars has been slowly growing but was trapped deep below. That is until a rain of infested entities start coming. It wasnt just a plague star but one that was bigger than any infested meteor heading towards Earth. The Plains specifically.

How to start: In the first time of doing them. Head to Konzu to inform him of the incoming danger. You all devise the plan with the help of the others and ordis. You head to nakak to start the raid. Use squad link to link your team to another squad for the raid.

1st phase: in the first phase the linked squad have to be in the plains themselves while your squad will in a railjack. Railjack squad will have to head to space in a sector near earth. In space you'll see a near by gigantic infested mass slowly heading towards earth. The railjack squad is to fly towards it. The moment the infested mass detects you it sends out a wave of infested dargyns along and a barrage of minature plague stars. The infested dargyns are level 90. You are to defend yourselves as you reach the gigantic infested mass. The plague stars are invunerable so you have to dodge them and if you dont your ship will be damaged heavily while also having infested board the ship.

The ground squad will be destroying the mini plague stars in the plains. The plague stars become vunerable once they breach the earths atmosphere. There will be a meter that shows a 100% which will go down if a plague star hits the ground. This meter cannot go up and can only go down. When reaching 0% the mission is a fail. The mini plague stars can only be damaged by weapons however can be affected by cc. However all forms of slows effectiveness are reduced by 50% and durations of cc that completely imobilizes targets like stuns and roots have their durations cut in half. (Same for limbo's stasis. The plague stars are however immune to electric procs. Falling miniature plague stars are frequent and are falling all over the plains. However they are marked to make them easier to detect. Once a mini plague star hits the surface itll stagger everything within 50m and spawn lvl 100 infested enemies. The waves of plague stars only stop once the railjack squad has reached the giant infested mass.

Phase 2: The railjack squad will head into the infested mass only to find out its a infested orokin tower all along. The railjack squad is to head in and search for the heart. The hearts location is randomly generated as it is in an infested orokin tileset. Infested are naturally within the vicinity and try to stop you. The infested are level 120 and there numbers increase the closer you are to its heart. As you look you'll find infested tumours which you have to kill. Killing all tumors will light up an infested vein that will lead you to the heart. The way to the heart of the tower is blocked by a massive infestes mass and is invunerable unless youve dealt with all tumors. There are a total of 5 tumors. Once the infested mass is dealt with you are greeted with the first boss encounter, a infested hive mind. The infested hive mind will have 5 health threshholds. For the first 3 theshholds it will make it invunerable making it spawn 5 tumors which will need to be found to make it vunerable. For the 3rd and 4th it will start charging an attack while a massive wave of infested ospreys poison the area around it. Deal as much damage to it quickly in a span of 2 minutes or your squad gets wiped. This will stagger the boss and make it invunerable until all infested ospreys are dealt with. For the 5th it will attempt to heal itself by making the surrounded infested merge with it while being invunerable for 30s. These enemies that run towards the hive mind can be cc'ed. For every infested that enters the hive mind. It will heal itself and potentially heal itself back to its other health threshholds. Do not let this happened. Once 30 seconds have passed and it has not reached its other threshholds it will become vunerable and become significantly easier to take down. Then you are to exit and head back down to the plains.

While this is happening the ground squad are to create a mixture of use already existing infested phyllaxis to start up an injector to cleanse any remaining infested. One member is to guard the injector while other members are to gather more grokdhul or use their pre-existing phyllaxis to make the drill continue. Infested will start coming out of the ground along with grineer to try and destroy the injector. The injector must be kept until the hivemind is defeated by the railjack squad. The hivemind in its death will send out a signal towards cetus which will awaken something below. This something will roar and burst out of the ground only to destroy the injector and head back down. This will create an entrance to the next phase. The thing will be unrecognizable at first since there will be a helluva lot of screenshake that will make it almost impossible to see.

Phase 3: both squads are to headback to cetus gate to meet up with the railjack squad which will create an 8 man session. You are all to head down towards the hole it has created and track down the thing. While falling down the hole it created, you will be greeted with an abundance of smaller holes where infestation is present and its very dark with little to no light sources. Even scarier you are all taken out of your warframes and are stuck in operator mode. Even worst there will be infested worm like things that will chase you all simmilar in the way in war within but faster and more aggressive. There are some rock formations you and your team can get on where you guys are safe and another thing. There will be a torch and only one of you can hold it. You have to work together to not get killed and look for your warframes. To make matters worst all of your warframes have been scattered around the area. You are to search for your warframes and not die. Fortunately getting caught by a worm does not mean instant death there is a brief period where if one of you is caught you can void blast them and use transference on them for one of your teammates to temporarily control the worm while also saving you. One by one once youve all found your warframes. The worms are now killable and once they know the infested worms will start retreating. Follow these worms and they will lead you to their mother. You can use a k drive if you wish. However the area is counted as indoors thus archwings cant be used. There you will meet the next phase.

Phase 4: You will be greeted by a nest of those infested worms and meet its mother. Its infested teralyst worm mother. This infested teralyst has a unique mechanic that we'll get on later. Once it senses you it will let out a powerful roar that will take you all out of your warframes and back onto operator mode. However you cannot simply press 5 to go back but you have to reach your warframe then press 5 to go back in. This is when the fight begins. There will be a hoard of the infested worms around the mother that will try to attack you. The mother will always spawn them out however you can temporarily make her stop spawning them by shooting her pores. She has a total of 8 pores around her body. Shoot them and she'll stop spawning them until regenerates. She has a thick shell teralyst like plating and will take damage until you've taken out all of her eyes. She has a total of 6 eyes and all need to be popped to start the first damage phase. This will make her do that screech again that will take you all out of your warframes into operator mode. The worm will spasm uncontrollable and start burrowing. A rumble would be heard and cracks will form to warn you of where she'll be attacking. Where she'll run through there damaging everyone she passes through and deal 600 impact damage. Shr will do this at least 6 times before coming back with all eyes regenerated. This process will be repeated 3 times before the worm mother starts using a new attack which she will unleash volleya of volatile spit which deals 60 viral damage p/sec for 6s. They are however slow moving projectiles that are dodgeable. Then the process repeats again. Destroy eyes, she burrows and you all dodge. On the 5th time she'll scream one more time and burrow in deep to try and run away.

Final phase: You are now all to chase the thing through the tunnels it makes while burrowing. By either using a k drive or parkouring. This will go on for 5s and as you all follow her. There will be a rupture that will instakill anyone who gets caught in that will come behind you all as you follow the worm mother. This will go on for at least 3 minutes before you are greeted with a tired exhausted bleeding worm mother teralyst. You are all to start blasting at it as much as you can on more time before it dies. The remaining health it has will be 500,000 health that you will need to take down. Here you can take your time killing it and relax, the only obstruction being other infested worms trying to defend the mother worm. In its death it will howl one more time before it lays lifeless and soon the top of the tunnel will start crumbling down and give you all an exit. As you all finally rid the last of the remaining infested within the plains, for now...

As with all raids it will have its secrets, like secret rooms with secret loot. In the first phase a room within the infested tower an orokin ghost can be found that can be scan to unlock the lore of what happened to the orokin tower. In the 3rd phase, a room where an old labratory can be found. It will a cephalon fragment which will show records of what the technocyte virus was like in earlier stages in its recent discovery. In the 5th phase which is the final somewhere in the rubble there is a cave you can enter. The remains of an unknown warframe can be found which will start a mini quest to obtain its blueprint.

Rewards

Sentinels

Mutalyst Wyrm
-an infesed variation of the wyrm sentinel which rather than just pushing enemies back. It creates a large toxin aoe cloud that makes enemies ill and start coughing. Making them want to go away.

Weapons

Ferula
-an cane that is believed to be used by orokin plague doctors that dealt with the infested. It uses rapier stances and deals mainly toxin and puncture damage with a fast attack speed but medium range.

Pupa-klinge
-an infested blade that infects its opponents with maggots.

Carka protesis
-A whip made of the infested worm hides refined with old orokin tech. This weapon will create viral gashes onto enemies but can also shock enemies with heavy attacks.

Gaskammer
-An amalgam of infested and sentient turned into a gas blaster. Spray down foes with ionic gas that will explode within 1.2 sec. It is classified as a shotgun thus uses shotgun mods.

Mutalyst stug
-an infested version of the stug which once the blobs pops of its projectile. It will release a burst of maggots.

Plagieou temfurs
-Secondary throwing daggers made from the plate of the worm teralyst. They are mainly slash base but when in contact with armor they cause corrosion.

Mods

Infected cuts
+60% slash, slash procs also proc viral. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Infected fractures
+60% impact, impact procs also proc viral. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Infecfed holes
-60% puncture, puncture proc also proc viral. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Crippling Parasites
-On crit 30% of the damage is dealt in toxin damage. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Venomous Clip
+50% status chance, +50% poison, -30% magazine size. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Zombie mag
-When out of ammo aslong as you dont let go of the trigger you can keep firing for 5s. Can be fitted in exilus slot. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Tunneling magazine
-On hit gain 0.1 punch through which doubles per hit. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Fumigation Bloom
-On headshot create an aoe gas proc. +50% gas. Bonus: 30/40/50/60/75% chance of spawning a maggot.

Heavy Plague
+80% damage increase, +60% toxin

Critical Condition
-When low on health deal 50% more damage. (Warframe mod)

Adaptive mutation
-Any repeated damage types or crowed control effects will reduce their effectiveness by 10/20/30% the next time you recieve them which can stack up to 3x. Stacks decay around 10s.(warframe mod)

Arcanes

Arcane Outbreak (Weapon)
-Can only be equipped on infested weapons. This allows you to stack damage on a target. Once that target dies it will release 30/50/80/90/100% that damage as a toxin cloud aroun the dead target for 6s dealing the damage in DoT. Enemies killed by the cloud also create a cloud themselves.

Arcane Division(Weapon)
-The first shot after reloading has 60/100/200/300% multishot. For bows its every 7/6/5/4/3rd shot.

Magus Imposter (warframe)
-When below 50% health spawn a goo spectre of yourself which will draw aggro towards itself lasting 3/4/5/6/7s and cleanse all status effects.

Magus Synthesis (Warframe)
-Heal for 20/30/40/50/70% of the damage taken within the last 5s of being hit. Cooldown of 20s.

Magus Caccoon (operator)
-Void dashing through enemies envelope them in cacoons however dashing through allies envelopes them in a cacoon like shield which acts as a 3rd health pool besides your shields and health. Value of cacoon health is 200/300/400/500/600.
