I want to very seriously state how glad I am that DE is working so hard to refine what they have out as a game right now. I recall when the UI crashes were so common it was to be expected between matches! xD  My friends and I would comment on how it didn't bother us as the game booted so quickly... but still it happened constantly. and even little things like the stacking pick up numbers, the sentinels' eye flare.... anyway GO YOU GUYS xD

Riddle me this.

Why are Heavy Caliber and all assorted mods so terrible?

Heavy Caliber, at max, gives as much damage as Serration. However it takes two times the work to max out HC than it does Serration, it costs more, AND it adds 165% recoil.

Nearly all the other new mods are likewise terrible.

None of this makes sense.

You do realize that they stack with other mods, right?

Can you tell me why did you take out conclave points information? It was very informative in forming a team, but now no conclave nor mastery rank is shown for public. too bad.

Conclave points were a VERY ROUGH approximation of skill based on arbitrary numbers for weapons, mods and levels that were built from the ground up with the idea of going 1v1 with ANOTHER PLAYER.

People that recruited or judged others based on Conclave for PvE were reading a cookbook to learn how to harvest crops.

because conclave points mean nothing when the match isn't conclave. the mastery lvl is shown, is for me anyway, i can see everybody's mastery. and it doesn't matter about conclave points anyway cuz the same patch that removed them also included a better system for grouping. no need to see it, you can expect to have 3 ppl with around your conclave score, give or take a few. but not 1500's grouped with 200's farming Xini anymore. no reason to see it other than to stroke your ego. you can see thier loadout.. it's not hard to figure out from that what thier conclave is. Before you say it... "but if it's not lvled" ... who cares. doesn't matter. ..... no, it doesn't..... i don't care..... than abandon & run solo. there, that's more than likely the answers to the 3 comments you're going to make. smiles all 'round!! :) .. just sayin.

i've been playing for a whopping two weeks. so conclave was typical throughout my experience. i'm happy it's gone.

i've gone from rank 0 to rank 6 during this time. and it's very obvious when you join a group and are immediately disconnected due to a low conclave score that you've been snubbed by an elitist.

even with conclave scores of 400-600 i've been able to out-damage people with well over 1000 score.

for pvp it makes sense. for pve it was being used as an elitist epeen score that i'm glad it's gone. :P

just my 2c.

wasn't even a very rough approx... didn't approximate skill at all, cuz you don't need any to gain conclave, all you need is platinum, or a lot of time farming. all conclave is really is Warframe's version of the old gear score system of World of Warcraft. that's it. a number representing the total "lvl" of gear equipped. someone with a credit card and no skill whatsoever can gain a 1500 conclave, with no farming at all, everything is paid for. just matches your loadout with someone with equal value for a somewhat even battlefield.... after that... the skill is what's gonna determine if you live or not, not your gear & conclave score.

You should see what it does to a flux rifle.

Actually, the heavy calibre is amazing on weapons such as Ignis, Torid, Ogris and any high power, slow fire-rate sniper rifles.  Especially with the ignis, it has no recoil, so you only get the increased damage.  The warframe mods are a huge bonus for certain frames, that the negative either doesn't effect them, or it doesn't affect them much.  The negative of one mod can be neutralised, and made into a positive with another mod.  Its all about specialising equipment.  It was a smart move on DE's part in long term, as the number of mod combinations, and the amount of strategy required in mods loadouts will substantialy increase.

Then I guess you're unaware that DE plans on making HC's recoil affect guns like flux, synapse, ignis, etc.

Wow really? What a novel concept completely foreign and unknown to me.

You know those nightmare mods we can get? You know, the ones that offer similar stacking bonuses without inhuman fusion costs, strangely high mod costs, and no downsides?

Do you have any facts or proof of this statement? After dumping 1.5 Million credits and over 100 Rare V's into my HC.. they better not think about nerfing it.

Keep up the good work, i'll finally have some free time again!
