The constant conflicts of the war ravaged Sol System have died down to smaller and less destructive border conflicts. With both the Grineer and Corpus coming to a grinding stalemate, and the sides taking up a more defensive stance, a period of uneasy peace has set in.

And with less conflict, there is less reason for Tenno to interfere. While some conflicts still called for the Warframe-clad mercenaries, from all factions of the system, not to mention the endless holdout against the Infested, that seemed to be indestructible in it's vastness, many more operators found time to relax, and turn their focus on forgotten forms of conflict.Such as the Orokin pastime - Lunaro.

Welcome to the Treasures of Lua. A peaceful resort on a shard of the shattered Moon, with it's beautiful regolith plains, the Pale Garden, and a Lunaro stadium. It took some time to rebuild this place to it's former splendor (or as much of it, as the Tenno could glean), but now it's a popular tourist attraction. The old abandoned Lua ruins nearby act as a wonderful entertainment for the Myconians, Solaris, and anyone else coming to experience the unnaturally oppressive atmosphere of the crumbling structure. There's even a rumor of an old Orokin Noble using this exact ruin as his vault.

Others come for the regolith plains, on the edge of the shard. Like a surrealistic beach, the dunes of microscopic meteorite sand and the starry sky past that are a wonderful place for an unconventionally romantic picnic, granted you host it near one of the atmosphere generators.

Others still come for the Lunaro games, either to spectate, participate or simply train in the ancient sport.

Those who are more spiritually inclined find that the Pale Garden with it's cobble pathways and luminescent trees is a perfect place for meditation and introspection, or some fancy pictures.

Of course all these visitors would need a place to stay, and luckily The Embrace of the Lotus opened as soon as renovation was done. Due to the popularity of Lunaro, the hotel offers two separate wings to room in - The wing of the Sun, and the wing of the Moon.

More than that - none of this place would run without a staff, and here are some names that you might want to find around the resort, in case of any questions

Batel, the Mirage. Often found running the venues around the Lunaro stadium.
Ashtare, the Zephyr - Running the reception of The Embrace.
Ekta and Octis,  the Equinox twins - running the Pale Garden photo saloon, as well as the souvenir shop.
Rhino or Excalibur, the man in the custom suit that is a cross between the bulk of the Rhino warframe and the sleek design of the Excalibur warframe, Chief of security
Ozrah, the Inaros. The groundskeeper, and guide into the Lua ruins.
North, the Graxx Vauban - On-Site technician for everything that zaps, sparks, whirrs or makes a clanking noise.

Welcome to my warmup in DMing over forums once more
"Treasures of Lua" is an open RP, where everyone is welcome, granted they give a heads up in this OOC thread. think of it as signing up in The Embrace.
There is no story - you just interact with the location, or the people, and thus - make your own story.

Some ground rules then, lads and lasses.

1. Abide the rules of the forum
This one should be self-explanatory

2. Don't be a wangrod
Wangrod = #$&(% = A****** = Jerk = Cretin

3. Up to two (2) characters per person
Let's keep the numbers of people manageable. this is a rather small resort, not a Corpus pleasure colony

4. No spamming.
Again, should be pretty clear, but to make it a bit clearer and easier to obey - Only one post per character (please use quotes). Once your character has acted or posted, they must wait for a response from either the staff, or other visitors.

5. Keep profanity to a reasonable amount.
If you stub your toe. a "#*!%!" is permitted.
Don't use such words for punctuation tho.

6. No cyber bullying, no doxing, no targeted insults towards other people.
If I have to explain this to you, you probably shouldn't sign up.

7. No smut, ERP, excessive lewdness or exceptionally graphic nudity.
No gore, torture porn, or excessive violence either. This is a leisurely resort, people.

Nota Bene!
This is the important bit. This RP runs on the assumption that warframes are exosuits worn by people. Everything that has happened in-game happened here, save for moonkids, Lua pods, transference, etc.
Then a couple of years of relative peace happened, and it is still continuing.

Now, a bit of explanation on the exosuit part. Let's take Batel as an example. She wears a Mirage warframe in open space and combat. when not in such situations, her suit is retracted into a special holding compartment, running along her spine. No explanation on that needed, it just works.
Now for you, the type of exosuit can be different. It can be digistructed, or it can be a physical suit, your character has to don or doff manually by undoing belts and zippers.Is that clear? Great.

Age: Physically between 30 and 40. Chronologically somewhere in the thousands

Personality: A testament to Tenno determination and valour, The Tenno known as Dojima is a man who remains a determined yet carefree Tenno who often follows the ideal that the Tenno should follow their own path rather than follow one laid out by them by another individual outside of the Tenno Hierarchy. Outside of the Tenno, Dojima finds modern Grineer abhorrent, CORPUS a load of blithering fanatics, the Sentients still somewhat terrifying, even more so than the Orokin and humanity to be a generally wild bunch, seeing the good and bad of both the people of Ostron and Solaris United

Whilst he is often seen as a carefree and wise Tenno, Dojima's vice is not only his smoking but also his pride. His pride doesn't allow him to forgive those who have wronged him either with or without intent such as the Tenno who tried to betray him after an assassination mission yet escaped after facing the Excalibur's wrath. Whilst he’s also very proud to be a Tenno and remains confident of the strength of the Tenno, he cannot help but feel sometimes he has lost his way after the Orokin Rebellion.

Appearance: A typical Excalibur with a Mordred purple accents along with a few accessories such as a scarlet cloth sash around his waist, a Eros shoulder piece on his left shoulder. You won't see Dojima however without his orokin smoking pipe whenever he's relaxing. The gold tarnished and the porcelin cracked and becoming saturated with age yet it still functions as a pipe with his favourite narcotics.

Outside of his suit, Dojima has a pale skin tone with red eyes, white hair that is often slicked back and generally has androgynous features across his face.

Personality: Radriar is what most would consider a “spoiled brat”. Cocky, arrogant, and plenty flamboyant, Radriar treats the world as if it’s a game to him. Some might say Radriar is just a troubled boy, hiding behind a facade to keep his tormenting past at bay. In truth however, Radriar isn’t a deep character. What you see is what you get, and you will damn well like what you see. 
Appearance: Radriar is a relatively good looking lad, with short black hair, a perfect nose and a beautiful physique. He can often be seen wearing expensive clothings and accessories, which he flaunts like it’s going out of style. His Excalibur Prime is white with silver metallics and radiates golden energy. It’s adorned with prime armour and a fancy Orokin cloak.

No, this is in the forums. the other Treasures of Lua thread is the roleplay proper. You are welcome to join, or at least follow it, and see how it runs, if this is your first experience with forum roleplays.

Also, small note - since in this continuity the warframes are suits, rather than constructs, there are no Operators, and thus no transference. So - the power suit is fine as an alternative for your character, but it can't possess a transference beam.

Personality:

Matronly in grace but twitching with combat reflex, she may bear the name of a goddess of prosperity from ancient Earth history but in this reality she has to do what she has to do to survive. Which learning to operate the machinery of war to defend self and family, and when all that was close to heart was lost to the invading Grineer, war became her way of life. In those decades flying the Solar Rails she became someone else. Somewhere out in the Jovian system she met a tortured soul who told her a story spanning centuries, waiting to be set free.

In strange bits of code, or flashes of lightning rage and displays of combat reflex she had never learnt herself, she became one with the suit, and went on to follow the Railjack teams heading out to Neptune and beyond as the Valkyr Warframe.

Now retired from the ways of war, Lakshmi would look you in the eye with a disinterested gaze, telling you stories from the past in arcane fashion. Refusing to tell how an earthborn of this age had learned the forbidden ways of the Tenno. She would use the tongue of her childhood in those stories. Putting mythical terms from ancient Ostron lore in place of people and places. Sometimes using terms from before the Ostron.

She would tell you how those stories were real, how she saw Corprus beams glitter off the Venus Gate, of the Pink Sheep who learned to wield the sword of War, all those memories like tears in rain, all forgotten and lost lest we honor them ourselves. 

Appearance:

She reached out for your hand, in a moment of genuine soul-seeking, but you flinched away not wanting to indulge, and saw her change. Those eyes, they weren't of this middle-aged Ostron lady no more. She was someone else. Someone whose entire existence was blood and tears and fire and steel. Then she looked swiftly away muttering curses in an ancient tongue, covering her face with a veil of red and gold embroidery that matched the intricate salwar kameez she always wore, all soft layers of long dress and tight-fitting pants and floor-length scarves that hid who she really was. 

That night she spoke no more, but looked out of the windows like a guardian drone.
Always watching, never trusting. Lakshmi, a goddess of wealth taking up the arms of her warring sisters. Telling a forlorn tale of how they bravely fell.

New sensations intrigue her, mainly technology. But also a good bit of history, biology, astrology... it's difficult to name a field she doesn't have extensive data on.

Appearance: An eight legged, scorpion-like mechanical spider, somewhat bigger than a normal hand. A single purple eye sits on its main frame. Traverses the lands sitting on-top of a standard shockwave Moa, which she probably hacked and stole from some Corpus outpost, completely docile.

Model: Lambeo MOA, combat support unit.
Age: 2 Earth years

Personality: Inquisitive personality module. Clumsily programmed with environmentally-influenced machine-learning capability, which puts immense strain on its dated processors and occasionally leading to slow response times. 

Appearance: A slightly-battered Lambeo MOA in a fading matte black paint job and faux silver accents. The top hat, monocle and bowtie aesthetic and tuxedo-like colours are as its name suggests, despite the apparent shabbiness of the chassis.

 

Once a young Corpus engineer's pet project, Dapper was desperately sold to an alcohol exporter when he was assured that its tractor beam and clever programming made it an excellent beverage dispenser for high society. It proved otherwise however, shattering half of the glasses it moved and spilling the contents of the remaining when put into action. Quite eager to be rid of the machine, the dealer left it with the Treasures of Lua to cover the damages he caused when he tried to display its waiter capabilities in the resort's bar. Unknown to him was the MOA's actual capabilities. Originally designated and assembled as a combat support unit, it was equipped with various precepts and modules that it was never yet directed to use. For the time being though, its Vacuum precept proved useful in sweeping up dust and fallen leaves from rooms and the grounds. Its tractor beam also lacked the calibration for balancing smaller objects such as wine glasses, but was perfectly capable of unloading shipping crates from imports to the resort. 

Still, nobody seemed to know what to do with the MOA. Without a new designation and defined routine, Dapper was left mostly to its own devices. It patrols the resort, helping out wherever it is needed. Its childlike curiousity and animated antics were also humorous to staff and patron alike, and most seemed content to have it around.

Name: Esku Kterst (Esk for short)

Faction: Steel Meridian, Ostrons, Solaris United.  Recently retired.

Race: Grineer, heavy gunner strain (was a bombard in the Nightwatch before she defected)

Age: 30 years out of the cloning tube, but appears to be in late 50s (because Grineer age fast)

Appearance:
over 2 meters tall, and lanky.  Like most Grineer, has blotchy skin due to a combination of irregular pigmentation, and the scars of various accidents, battles, and cancer surgeries.  Straight white hair, which she usually wears in a short ponytail.  Her right eye is amber, her left has been replaced by an ocular implant that allows her to see infrared and UV.  Her left arm is a robotic replacement.  It has a Furax built into the knuckles, and pads on the fingertips that can detect temperature, pressure, and damage (i.e. pain).  An Ostron flame logo has been painted where the bicep should be. 

Esk is healthier than the average Grineer, and has no cybernetic parts other than the eye and the arm.  Back in the old days she was an accomplished long-distance runner, and although she has relaxed the Nighwatch training regimen that she once followed, she can still beat most people (but not warframes) in a race (or basketball).

Nearly always wears full Nightwatch combat gear which is still in good shape except for a few patches, including her ogris, which she carries slung across her back and keeps in perfect working order even though it hasn't fired a live shell in months.

Despite years of experience speaking Low Orokin (i.e. English), Esk will probably never lose her Grineer accent.

Personality: If you have ever had a grandparent who knew how to do all sorts of cool stuff and had a bunch of cool stories from their time in the military, congratulations, you have pretty much already met Esk.  Esk has a serious demeanor seasoned with a dry sense of humor, and a fascination for all things that grow and change (which, if you wait long enough, is pretty much everything).  Over the course of a long career with the Steel Meridian, she has picked up skills ranging from hacking Grineer computer systems and fixing assorted hardware (in true Grineer style, it looks like cr!p but it works), to fermenting vegetables for preservation on long space voyages and finding quality music.  But, despite the general calming of the System, things rushing past quickly or a flash of a Tenno blade can still trigger painful and vivid recollections, and responses governed by pure instinct.

Alright i'll bite. OK, i'm surprised you're going with the whole "power suit" idea of warframes from pre Second Dream but i like. plus Potential Lunaro so that's a plus. lets see what i can arrange eh?

Personality: Bianca isextremely quiet and considerate. She usually prefers to listen and likes to be a balanced force. She is also extremely studious and devoted to her preferred Syndicates as she believes in their intended goals (and despite the two Syndicates disliking one another). Being a Tenno Bianca also feels like she doesn't belong at most places and is at best a nomadic warrior. She wants to feel like she belongs somewhere. or with someone.

Bianca as a tenno struggles to come to terms with her abilities and thus usually tries to seek help from the Arbiters of Hexis, who she also works with in missions and beacuse of theri gudiance she has become one of them, arbitrating other issues through out the system. She feels extremely empathic over the fate of the Solaris and usually spends time in Fortuna to help them because she wants them ot have a future again.

I started WF roleplaying way before Second dream, and honestly, that setup lends itself better to roleplay, at least in my opinion.

Lunaro itself will be very simplified, as I don't intend to make an in-depth system for actual competitive Lunaro plays via text. at least not yet.
It will all depend on the way the players describe their actions on the field, and something something DM magic.

Name: Radou 'Mesterlövész' Elten.

Faction: Mercenary, dictated by who hired. There are cases of him spotted working for both Corpus and Grineer but not with Tenno.

Race: Human

Age: 28

Personality: Patient and observant. A decade of experience as a marksman definitely has made Radou patient and observant which is fine by him and prefers to stick to what he knows. Doesn't have much love for any of the factions but doesn't hate them either. What is clear though is that is that he is on the side of humans, not really considering them superior as he has seen plenty of things Tenno pull off. Integrity is something Radou definitely appreciates and has very low opinion of backstabbing but usually doesn't say this as he has been hired few times for espionage.

Appearance: Iris color is mix of grey and blue, face has clear indications of aesthetic fixing making it very tough to say what kind of wounds he has received during combat, no beard or mustache, hair color is mostly earth brown but small amount of wheat yellow can be seen. Skin northern pale very low melamine level. Muscle build medium, weight 114 kg, height 1.7 meters.

Usually wears his armor which is painted Ceres rock grey camouflage, non metal components of armor is made out of layered fabrics that protect from vacuum of space, some of the harmful environment hazards covers up to just below the jaw, helmet most of it is visor covering face sides of the head and top of the head halfway actual metal of the helmet covers back of the head, ears and temples vizier color is semi transparent grey but can be seen through easily doesn't reflect light.

Iron fist type gauntlets, shoulder plates are the standard cup split in half form and upper arm plates protect from front and sides, chest plate covers heart and lungs, oxygen tank on the back of right shoulder, shield generator installed on the lower left of the back near of the waist, only one holster can be seen and it is on left thigh and it doesn't seem to be like for a handgun.

Armor plated boots and armor plated thighs but only from front. For outside of working environment he wears sky blue jacket that seems to be more designed for colder climates, pants of same color and grey boots.

Personality: Caring and studious. While somewhat mild on her caring side, she has gotten herself in to complicated situation of finally it being much more easier for her but same time she has found herself in a position where doesn't feel as needed. At least what is consistent about her in this time of uneasy peace between Grineer and Corpus is her studious side trying to find books physical or electric to find more knowledge to improve her abilities on the field and outside of it and studying things that aren't necessary.

Appearance: Trinity Prime with black primary, light grey secondary, bright orange tertiary, accents gold and energy color cyan. Rarely takes of the chassis of her warframe but does take off the helmet. Wine red hair and green iris. Definitely from the face can be said she is in mid twenties or above.
