Octavia Is Still Bad To Play (Hand Cramps)... 4 Years Later

Octavia still has the same issue of giving people hand cramps for playing her as intended. Having to constantly spam your buttons to match the beat feels awful and should've been changed at release.

Seeing as Metronome keeps her alive, and so you're forced into using it at higher levels, it should be much less annoying to actually activate.

Change activation of buffs to automatic or only after two actions in quick succession.

(No, the solution is not to just use less beats, as it makes her less effective and also less enjoyable as you can't use the song you want.)

I'd make it so the buffs play at certain times during their 'chosen segment'. Note when you're making the song the whole thing is kinda sectioned not just in rows but columns? So just have each column be a different buff.

Or you just make a beat that doesn't require you to spam your buttons, and honestly even without being a musician that's not that hard.

Spamming with Octavia is not the best solution. Use a melody that is easy to follow with the beat, not just a fast mess of notes that you won't even be able to follow  correctly and that requires you to get a cramp to synchronize with.

Gosh please no, Octavia's main problem actually is that most of her ability are already passive as hell, her 1 and 2 are autonomous abilities and her 4 is just a buff for a period of time, and even her 3 give an armor buff without doing anything. Her 3 is actually, without her 2 augment, the only ability that give to Octavia any form of interaction.

Without this interaction, there is 2 important issue : Octavia will just be boring af to use since all her abilities would be a button to push each X seconds, and she will be even more OP than she already is, that's already a miracle DE never nerfed her considering how busted she is : deals a S#&$-ton of damage that scales on the enemies level, buffs armor, damages, speed, access to invisibility so practically immortal Warframe, energy self-sufficient, CC. And you want this to be activated only by pressing your 3 button ?

And last things : the interaction with the 3 is the only things that make Octavia's music theme relevant. If you make her 3 a passive, so Octavia's musical theme is completly irrelevant : she can be a cooking, sewing, carpet salesman themed Warframe, that would mean S#&$ since the music would matter so little in the way you play her.

Yes it is. That doesn't make Octavia less powerful since every beat's power scale on the speed of you song : the more you have space between a beat and another, the more powerful this beat is. So unless you play Octavia with a #*!%in doom metal song, playing with half or even quarter of the maximum speed is not a big deal at all, that would even be a big improvement since you won't just spam hoping to synchronize with a music you can not even follow, but instead you will listen a music you can follow.

And for the matter of making the song you want, well ... Come on, Mandachord is already a big limitation by itself, you can only make a 4 bar song on a pentatonic of D, and without plat you can make songs with only bad midi drums, cellos and choir. At this point, tempos limitations are like a scratch on a blown-off leg. And is it worth to ABSOLUTLY make the music you want if it means ruining your gameplay ?

I use less beats and a slower song. It takes 2 crouches to go invisible, no hand cramps here even after many hours! Don't believe the people who say you must use these crazy songs and spam crouch like a madman.
