How do plat discounts work?

I’m a bit confused on how platinum discounts work. When you get a 50% off coupon for the market does that qualify?

Plat discounts apply to purchasing platinum itself 50% discount would make 50$ cost 25$

The OP is on console so the previous answers are wrong...

A 50% coupon will reduce the price of 1 thing from the market, either credit or platinum cost. This does not apply to bundles or TennoGen. The coupon is used upon the first thing you buy.

It does not apply to the price of Platinum.

This is what happens on PC.

OP is on Xbox, where things are different.

Both above me are confused as well....no worries.

For PC these voucher are only for direct plat purchases on DE's website.

For consoles it's the first purchase you do in the market. The only plat discounts you have are the Spring/Holiday etc sales

So market coupons do not apply to platinum

Nah, I got 75% off a few days ago. There is 20/30/40/50/60/70/75% off coupons (at least that's what the fandom wiki says). I typically only get 50% off, but I guess that's just my luck.

There is also 25/50/75% off market coupons for console.
