Railjack always Public?

So i RARELY play railjack for OBVIOUS reasons (its a cool gimmeck, but thats all) and just found another, i DONT play public games, because half of the time its people who are AFK, or furious people that gets pissed im not playing their playstyle. So i stick to playing with my friend on friends only.
BUT we now have the Railjack challenge for nightwave. I try and team up with my buddy, and, he gets thrown out of our squad and i get launched into an online match. I try solo, SAME, THING. This has happened alot. Even the first time i played Railjack
Could this be fixed?
