Ignis Build

Question

Hello all, I have a few question about my Ignis.

1. Will the mod Split chamber (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Split_Chamber) work on it?

2. And where can I find the fire storm (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Firestorm) mod? Am I forced to waste money to get it?

3. Is the innate puncture working properly now? Should I use another puncture mod to complete it?

Also, I plan on making this build on my Ignis:

But what should I put on the empty slots? I am open to suggestions.

1: Yes, however, if you have max Split Chamber, each 10% that you don't get multishot, the second projectile length resets and needs to be active for 0.15s time to reach max length. Main shot is unaffected.

2: Fire Storm supposedly drops off of Toxic Ancients.

3: Innate puncture is working, and it is the full length of the flame. Putting another puncture mod would be worthless.

That guy's build isn't too good, IMO. Given how fast the Ignis goes through ammo, and personally I like my weapons to do as much damage per shot as possible, to be ammo efficient, I would suggest maximizing your damage out of each shot. Serration, Split Chamber, Cryo Rounds, Piercing Hit, Rifle Ammo Mutation if you have it. Putting Hellfire & Wildfire are pointless. The Ignis does fire base damage, unless you plan to use it ONLY on infested, best to have other damage types. Cryo Rounds helps to slow them down and Piercing Hit helps against those armored targets.

How do you get invited to the Void with a name like that...

2. Nice! Can you please confirm this with some link or some data? I would really like to know where I can improve my chances of finding this mod.

3. Yes, I only plan to use my ignis against infested, that is why I posted that video. Is Piercing hit worth on Ignis if I only fight Infested? Why do you say the Hellfire and Wildfire are pointless? More fire damage is always good, and it is not added as weapon's base damage according to the wiki.

No I can't confirm it as of 10.3, drop tables before said that's what dropped it and I can't imagine why it would change. Piercing Hit would help against Ancients but all the light infested not so much. I say more fire is pointless because I use my Ignis on all factions, Grineer, Corpus, Infested, Corrupted, so just having fire damage hurts my build. But having all that extra fire damage on Ancients wouldn't help as much as piercing damage would. As for Cryo Rounds, do you want to slow things you hit or no? You could swap that out for Hellfire if you really want.

I use Ignis with my Vauban's Vortex mainly, so they really can't move that much even if they want to :P I don't need to slow them.

So far, what a good Ignis build, specifically VS infested, would be (all maxed):

 - Serration (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Serration)

 - Heavy Caliber (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Heavy_Caliber)

 - Split Chamber (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Split_Chamber)

 - Hellfire (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Hellfire)

 - Wildfire (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Wildfire)

 - Bane of Infested (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Bane_of_Infested)

Do you guys agree?

Honestly, I think that Infested die quickly enough from Ignis' base damage already. If you want maximum Crowd Control abilities, I'd personally swap out Bane with Cryo Rounds, which instantly makes Ignis the best CC weapon in the game, even if it is at the cost of a chunk of damage. That's just me, though.

EDIT: Just noticed, this build has nothing to counter high armor. Swap that Hellfire mod with Armor Piercing.

Chagers have high armor, and no weakpoints, so  fire damage doesn't do all that much to them. You need the +AP mod, even if it is reduced by 50%, for higher level Infested.

Cryo Rounds is a good choice for the snare effect.

I wouldn't suggest using Firestorm, I got mine from Eris - Cyath from an ancient but using it has little to no effect. Ignis has ridiculously large hit area and making that 24% bigger doesn't seem to help at all.

This is the ultimate build if you want to melt Infested like cotton candy:

Actually your build is missing heavy calibur, which would increase base damage meaning all elemental (i.e. fire) mods would see a massive increase meaning even more infested being melted.

Swap it into where you have cryo rounds, trust me when I say you won't need them moving any slower when they're already dead.  (if you must have slower infested, just use infested impedance, it's like every infested has permanent ice on it) (this also means you'll actually be able to kill ancients easily with it as well.  I <3 my ignis)

Nice suggestion with Infested Impedance Aura ! This way I won't need Cryo Rounds! Now, having in mind I usually end up with a Necro in my squad spamming dessecrate (which gives me a lot of ammo), what mod should I put in the last slot for maximum damage? Mods like Fast Trigger do nothing right?

 - Serration (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Serration)

 - Heavy Caliber (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Heavy_Caliber)

 - Split Chamber (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Split_Chamber)

 - Hellfire (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Hellfire)

 - Wildfire (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Wildfire)

 - Bane of Infested (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Bane_of_Infested)

 - Armor Piercing (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Armor_Piercing_Damage)

 - LAST SLOT !

I'll have to pop 1 more forma to fit Heavy Caliber.. when I'm actually lucky enough to get one ;_;

You should probably wait a little bit. The developers will change it soon and no one knows what kinds of hell they will unleash.

Any suggestions for that last slot?

Well, seeing Heavy caliber increases spread/recoil, it's only buffing the Ignis (if they just make it that all weapons get "base recoil")

the last one is iffy, you also need cryorounds and ammo drum (or rifle mutation if you have it)

Idk How Long This Thread Has Been Going But I Would Suggest To Make Use All A,B And C Classes 1 For Each Faction Grineer, Infested And Corpus. And About That Fire Damage On The 1st Page Yes It Would Help Increase The Damage Dealt To The Infested Its Just Like A Serration For That Weapon.

please don't bump old threads man

I was about to say that all the advice in this thread is bad, when I realized, all of these posts are old and this advice was good for Update 10, not 11.
