Giving your secondary to a hostage with Hildryn can lock you in gamebreaking unarmed mode

I have been able to reproduce this bug, and it's rather gamebreaking. Basically if I'm playing Hildrin, and give my secondary to a Hostage, then switch on the Balefire gun (her 1), then switch it off, there is a high chance of getting stuck in a weaponless mode where I'm unable to use the Balefire, the primary, the melee or other abilities, and the only solution is dying and resurrecting. This bug has been in the game from the introduction of Hildryn.
