Is there a way to not have your pet roam around in your orbitor?

Matrillex

Question

I've noticed that statis has been removed and I was wondering if there was a way to remove your pet from your Orbitor. It's not really causing problems I just prefer it to not be moving around everywhere. I know you can consign them but I don't want to remove them entirely, I just prefer to not have them visible. Does anyone know of any way or know if there is any mention of this at all?

Choose a warframe with an active pet

Replace the pet on that warframe to a sentinel or Moa

Use that warframe, even if just to check out the market console

Switch to the warframe you want to take on a mission (that doesn't have a pet active either)

Look around for the previous active pet.

If all goes well, no pets will be around.

Want a pet roaming around? Just do the reverse.

Just to provide yet another way to stop them roaming around:

  1. Equip, or breed one if you don't already have one yet, a Helminth Charger
  2. Genetic Age Regressing it
  3. Because there is no puppy form for a Helminth Charger, so instead of being a puppy, Your Helminth Charger has reduced to a simple Helminth Cyst
  4. Cyst don't roam

Only one pet, at the moment, can be present at 1 time.

Get a beach ball (dog days coming back soon) and see your pet play with it.

:)

My cat goes psycho over all her beach balls, plays with them all the time.

Tip: If you don't want a pet to degrade make sure it's a Kavat that is active, they never degrade.

Can you make a video of this?

Because it certainly doesn't work at all on my end.

I stand corrected. I was wrong. I just tried it myself and indeed it doesn't work.

My bad, could have sworn.... my apologies

There is a way tho' but except for consigning a pet so that automatically there is no pet active I must admit that I'm stumped. Consigning isn't something you want to do with a pet that you want to keep so there surely is a different way around it.

I think what you can do is to choose a sentinel and it should be in status. I am doing this from mobile rn so I might be wrong...

Nope. The last "active" pet still roams around even if you have a robotic companion equipped.

You can still put companions in stasis via the mobile app.

You have to be logged out of the game to use this functionality though.

Is that really the only way to "store" the pets?

If there is no option in game to NOT have a pet roam the orbiter, that's a serious oversight.

EDIT: I just checked, and nope. The app does not have any related option either. Fantastic. Just fantastic.
