(NSW)Reason Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 Protea slash stacks infinitely so in certain situations a Protea will outperform a Saryn. Especially since Saryn requires certain things to stay alive in order to ramp up spore damage. Saryn has arguably more range since burst spores can profligate infinitely, while a Protea has to constantly spam one in a certain direction on a specific spot in order to get those incredible stacked slash damage numbers. Long story short, a saryn and a protea in a small map, the Protea definitely benefits from the saryn and will seem like it 'outperforms' the Saryn. But compare each one in a solo map, and the Protea will tie saryn in a small map and lose in a big map. One is not better than the other. Both are fun as hell.
