Tyroki Posted July 20, 2020 Share Posted July 20, 2020 I just came back after an extended hiatus to the worst connection issues when dealing with squading up with friends that I've ever experienced. I live in New Zealand and play with friends from North America, and I swear, we never had these kinds of issues a year or so ago. Now I'm getting dropped about 5-20 seconds after joining group, or immediately on trying to enter a mission. You may think "New Zealand to North America? Well of course it's going to be bad," but y'know what? It never used to be. We used to be able to play with maybe a drop every few hours at worst, and not at all at best (which it usually was. They had absolute garbage rural internet at the time too, and have a better connection now.) I'm on a 1gb fiber connection in NZ, they're on a not amazing but far more stable connection than they used to have in Texas. What has happened here?
