That really cares about what the community thinks about things. What do you guys think about war frame implementing cross play/ cross saving across platforms? It’s just seems to be more of a pain that pc friends and console friends can’t play this fantastic game together, or if a player wants to switch platforms in gaming that they have to start all over again. Been discussed for years and DE has said repeatedly that cross play is not going to happen with Warframe. Cross progression might be possible but not in the near future (in the next few years). PC probably have more discounts, while console makers give less often discounts. DE can't tell sony when to do their state of play campaign, or whatever ms and nintendo campaign they have planned / scheduled. we also will never know how much money DE make from each platforms, console players might be a too huge source of revenue for DE to lose and we'll never know that. we're stepping on internal company territory that will be impossible to meddle. and we haven't even go to technical issue yet. for cross-anything to be achieved, every builds need to be aligned. i know i'm not ready to see the bugfest and hotfix hell when DE are already struggling with just single platform-updates. recently sony has made it public that they can open crossplay for game publishers, as long as they're willing to pay a fee. a couple of threads in this forum along the lines of "DE PAY SONY WHEN" had popped, because comments like yours mislead people that sony is the only obstacle between warframe and crossplay. sony is only one of the hydra's many ugly heads. Really hope DE starts talking about this topic. Do they even care about all the time and money their fans put into their game? Sucks that the supposedly awesome warframe community is for the most part extremely rude whenever this topic is raised, here and on reddit. They actually seem to take pleasure in squashing any posts related to cross save. Legitimately amazed they mods havent locked this post within the first 5 minutes... Well, what do you expect if you see the same thread over and over? And this one is even answered in the FAQs and the support page: No it is not possible to migrate and there are currently no plans for another migration. And there is much more involved that just adding a "crosssave = true" to the code. Given there are ~20 games which support crossplay on all 4 platforms and knowing that Sony has an extra fee for crossplay (https://www.theverge.com/2021/5/3/22417560/sony-ps4-cross-play-confidential-documents-epic-games-agreements) it doesn't suprise me that it's taking its time (both developing the code/infrastructure and negotiating with the platform owners/legal teams).
