Everyone had the same stats, and weapon that dealt the same damage, so you couldn't make an op-meta build that made conclave un-fun for the more casual players. A fair number don't react kindly to the idea of PvP development. Most changes are quiet and so won't get a lot of attention. But an event? That's a good way to attract that aforementioned group with big flashing lights. And it's not easy to work on something - even if it's just a flip of a switch - when you know that kind of backlash sits around the corner. That and - just to make that worse - there might be other technical issues from the spaghetti factory of code, which would have to be ironed out. Would make it more than just flipping a switch. Every time DE releases a PvP timed event there's such a roar from the community... 😞 I mean, I'm not a fan of PvP in most games, and certainly not in Warframe, but I did enjoy these changes of pace.
