Steel Path - Orokin Derelict Assassinate

Question

I’m having some trouble with Lephantis. Can anyone give me some advice on how you complete it? Thank you.

Grab a high rate of fire weapon with large magazine and ammo pool. Lephantis have a hard damage cap, so burst weapons like Rubico, Opticor, etc is highly ineffective against them.

If you're really having trouble i'd say a slow nova is a good call, Extra damage and he is slowed to a crawl- Giving you plenty of time to fire at weak spots and his attack animations take forever so fairly safe to not pay much attention.

That being said any frame with a CC move that slows or stops him is a good call imo

I love how you get both "heavy hitting" and "low hitting" advise.

can't really comment on that, but when I did it I learned that kavat armor stripping works on these basterds, so that will be my 2 cent to add into the advise pool

Go in a group, use kitgun with pax charge, and use zenuik focus to slow it down with focus blast. Toxin res is good, take a tanker over a caster.

Take a damage buff frame like Rhino, Speed Nova(not slow) or Chroma. Equip Pyrana Prime crit build with blast dmg(yes Blast) and Primed expel infested if you can fit it and use Temporal blast to slow it down. It doesn't have armour so ignore that advice, there's nothing to strip. What it has is a damage cap per hit which is why a Pyrana is ideal given that each shot is 12 pellets all hitting at once and all counting individually. Equip arcane velocity on your frame, it should take about 2-3 minutes to kill it.

Titania with Razorwing Blitz.

Takes 5 minutes solo and is super safe and super easy. Not sure why people try to make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Because it's quicker to do it other ways?

Sounds a bit long for a Warframe boss fight...

Redeemer Prime (combo build, not heavy attack). First stage is boring but easy. Second stage is over in less than a minute.

So, I did it and it was indeed a fun challenge. I have 2 free mod slots on my archgun, so it could definitely go faster.

I was about to say that's a bit slow but nice work with 6 mods. Try Velocitus next time, it's way quicker.

Chroma - max duration and power strength build.

Magus Repair.

Zenurik, especially temporal blast.

Kuva Kohm for power DPS, ammo not expected to last. Probably best to bring out only in phase 2.

Redeemer Prime for use as an infinite ammo shotgun to beat down the pop-up heads during phase 1 - crit build with corrosive and fire.

I was actually pretty surprised that I killed Steel Path Lephantis within 5 minutes with this build - didn't even last a minute in phase 2.

Try Pyrana Prime modded for blast my friend, you'll knock about 2 minutes off the kill time and won't come close to running out of ammo for both phases. Oh and Arcane Velocity on Chroma.

Thank you all for the advice and suggestions! I will try them all, one by one.

I didn't know there was a damage cap... no wonder my Rubico didn't work so well.

Slow Nova worked well for me. I wasn't able to reach 306% duration, but 288% seems good enough, although that also meant that I couldn't reach the 90% damage reduction. The 75% reduction in speed was really useful though. Lots of time to put bullets into the faces.

Went in with a half-modded Imperator Vandal coz I didn't have Dual Rounds and I forgot to equip Ammo Chain. However I did went in with a backup coz I suspected that I will run out of ammo on my Imperator Vandal, so I equipped my Tombfinger modded for Corrosive with Pax Charge so that I will not have ammo issues. It worked quite well surprisingly coz it shoots like a shotgun for some reason (I see multiple damage numbers despite Multishot being only 2.2). My Rattleguts was not potato-ed. =D

I think the key to my run was when I figured out that one of the heads actually spawns infested enemies. Once I realised that, I just focused on taking out that one first. After that one went down, the rest was quite easy as I did not have to worry about infested spawns trying to kill me and I could keep up with my damage reduction.

Thank you all once again!

Now try to imagine for a second either of you was smart (I know, I know... bear with me, please) and that you'd be capable to consider that OP is/was struggling with the boss to begin with - otherwise they wouldn't ask the question they asked - and suddenly my easy and safe answer/solution to OP's issue and my critique of slightly faster, but more complicated solutions would make a lot more sense to you and a lot of embarassing teenager e-peen waving (It is so big! My envy is endless!) on your end of this lovely, yet short, conversation and thread could have been avoided. Just imagine how awesome that would have been!

I'm very proud of you two for defeating a faceroll boss in a faceroll game in under five minutes! You better don't forget to put it in your resumee! Go you!

Knowing what works best against certain thing in the game is the most important thing rather than relying on meta builds. Simply because meta builds cannot handle all contents, yet(?)

hope that the new ability transfer won't ruin most of my builds

Oh my aren't you a cocky little kid. Now how about we explore your comment and NOT focus on the OP. Your words remember

"Not sure why people try to make it more complicated than it needs to be"

Now that can be taken as a blanket statement referring to everyone's favourite methods and your obvious disdain for them. I gave an answer to said blanket statement and the irony of you claiming to be smart compared to us is that you couldn't figure that out. Run along now kid.

P.S. "you better don't forget to put it in your resume". Nice grammar from someone trying to tell other people they're not smart. "You'd BEST get someone else to write your resume for you so they don't think that you're stupid".

Once you forma a wepon you can change the build how you want and even if new enemys come out the same things will work on them at most you might have to hit 1 week spot or some "new" thing where you just dont shot themin the face and they die instantly
