Helstrum not being affected by flight speed

As title, at both unmodded and with ~+177.7% projectile speed (riven + terminal velocity)  Helstrum is taking approx 3 seconds to hit targets at 30m away. Results seems consistent in both sim and regular gameplay. One would imagine intended behavior would be with that much projectile speed would be to travel that distance in 1.08 seconds approx, rather than 3.
