ESC key stops working

Update: Happened again, could it be something to do with doing a transference to operator when your warframe dies?

Update: Happened to me again in Deimos which 100% confirms it is something related to operator

Update: Happened again In profit taker. Could it be something to do with operator mode and dying at the same time? Seems to trigger at odd times for me but still happens frequently enough to be a big problem.

Update: Bug happened to me in railjack and I did not use operator so that does not seem to be the case that is triggering it

This just happened to me, first time ever.

Started the game, went to Baro on Strata Relay, came back to orbiter, checked someone's profile in chat. Tried to exit the game - wait, can't, no ESC functionality!

Alt F4.

I really hope this doesn't turn into a regular thing.

if you're in a mission and this happens, finish the mission to get it back (in my experience at least)

if you're in the orbiter, alt f4 and quickly rejoin

Can enter mod pages but Esc key just wont make UI open in game...

Anyway if i ALT+F4 and quickly rejoin does that permanently fix the problem or it has to be done every time when i get this bug?

Still an issue in May 2021.

This gets especially annoying in Railjack missions when you're playing in squad and they want to continue and you don't, because you're forced to continue with them because the bloody Esc button isn't working and you cannot leave squad.

Happens in literally every open world mission to the point where it is surprising to see Esc working as intended.

Necroing this thread again to report that the ESC stops working in Railjack missions; also Sentient ship in Veil proxima doesnt have all the spawns necessary to complete the mission.

The esc issue happens too many times and is not a rare scenario. i'm playing 8-10 hours and facing the issue almost about every hour or so.. i dont know what really causes the issue.

mostly i've seen other keys also freeze like P (for score board).

I am also surprised this is reported by so many players for such a long time and nobody from DE cares.

Just happened to me on Orb Vallis.  Currently stuck in a session with some punk who's in a necramech and preventing forced extraction.
