Derelict Shift: Update 28.3.0

The new mission UI for ultra-wide screens is horrible. The way the stats are stretched out... when you are in a mission and want to quickly check stats, like I often do, it's so confusing, it's all the same colour, all spread our horrible, can't see who's got most dmg etc. It's become a hassle now to try and see things, so each time I open the menu to see the stats, I just close it cuz I can't spend the time to try and figure things out. 

 

This needs to be fixed for ultra-wide monitors, seriously. I'm sure it's not that bad on regular screens. (Except the same colour, nothing being bolder or different shade/colour to indicate top).

It's almost nearly as bad on 16:9 displays.  The stats text seems sized for 10" displays, but everything else would be too small to be readable at that screen size.  This reminds of of the first few years after responsive web design was pushed out.  Many sites went to chonky mobile/console-like on PC and the sites on mobile devices were stripped-down to the point of being completely unusable.

Thanks DE for messing up the UI. I suggest you to do one thing. 

 

Keep the Player Endgame Stats on the lower right side as it was and move the Resources to Left hand side taking full left hand side while divide the columns on the right for equip items and Endgame stats.

 

I give you 2 examples. This should solve the stretch issue  with stats screen.

It does look like it was meant to be on a phone. Unfortunately that's not an excuse for how horrible it is overall. In trying to be cool, they designed something that considers the image to be more important than the information that suppose to be on the page. The system is so bad that it is causing hi cpu usage on people's computers just to load it. Worse yet, when it finally loads you have to hunt for the information that should be available without multiple clicks.

This round of UI changes contains no improvements, the end of mission screen especially, EVERY part of it has reduced functionality to give a screen that honestly looks worse imo, the new mail screen is less visually pleasant too, at least let us choose whether we want these because I DO NOT HAVE THE WORDS TO EXPRESS MY HATRED OF THIS NEW END OF MISSION SCREEN. I HATE IT. I WOULD RATHER HAVE A PLAINTEXT LIST THAN THIS ABOMINATION

You missed one piece of functionality: when you press tab to see how much affinity your stuff has it doesnt set the bar back to the start on each rank up you would get with bonus affinity. This way i cant tell if i'm close to maxing out or am still at the start of a level. Please fix that.

THIS also u dont see equipped weapons and the new ui has only 6 slots for exp, focus and reputation so if u get more than 6 items of exp focus and rep u have to go: esc>view mission progress.... wow, AND to top that at the end of a mission its the whole screen so im not sure if i finished loading and am back on the ship unless i pay attention at the loading logo and who does that so theres also a good time waste involved.... PLEASE DE change it back or give us an option and better change the CHAT UI its horrible we barely notice a whisper if some1 wants to trade and u can see max 2 ppl the rest goes in the void and u have to click to the right but most importantly make it more visible and maybe more audible if we get whispers

If I can't work on my warframes in relation to others, there's not a thing for me to do in this game. I have all the things that can be gotten. I don't need any drops. Really. I don't even look at that stuff. just the stats. But now I have to go click/find it and the highlights that I definitely do care about are gone.

Oh no. You have to click a button to see something that you and another 8 people actually give a toss about. Woe is you...

Nice.  Thank you for the attention to detail.  Someone in a run of mine had just encountered this bug last week, if I'm not mistaken this was introduced with the new defense objectives in the Protea/Corpus remaster patch. (yes hydron did get a new defense cryopod)

I miss the ability to leave the group without exiting the mission results.

Now I need to exit the result screen, press Esc, leave the group, then Esc, then "last mission results".

I'm sure they test their UI changes internally but clearly I'm not the target audience.

Although I do appreciate the buff like it was before, I kind of get the feeling the only reason that happened is it's an ability that can be fed to Hungry Boy.

I totally agree.  One page to see them all turned into garbage massive spacing, multiple screens and wasted space.   This new version is just awful.  I don't care about pretty, I want information density.

For the love of the void please add healing/shielding to the end of mission UI. I've been begging for this since I started playing 3 years ago. I like how I am doing as a support. Why do only dps get to shine? It looks like I am doing nothing just afking if you were to just read the end of mission report. Please just add healing/shielding. Idk why that's so hard and why you seem so against the concept. Encourage people to heal!!!!

am i the only  tenno here who is stuck in a quest for one i am stuck in the war within it crashes everytime i try and  escape the orbitor [not good with details my bad]   it crashes the moment after i use my void powers   in the orbitor   crash number ere WAR-2863170

New Mission End Window is crap. Never touch a running system. I'm open for new nice ideas, but it's not a nice design, not well arranged. Hire a new manager and he know all better ? Shame.

Not a big fan of the new UI update since it's way harder to read everything forcing my eyeballs to dart around the entire screen to get to different information instead of how more compact the older UI was and there's this horrid bug that makes it impossible to select and turn in syndicate medallions when it would be over the daily standing cap (even though turning them in doesn't interact with daily standing and seems to count as bonus standing), but I'm really hyped for the gameplay updates to come in Heart of Deimos and hope the less than desirable UI update isn't symbolic of what's more to come. :blush:
