(PSN)Stardust-Rebel Posted August 18, 2020 Share Posted August 18, 2020 Starchildren, I am likely one of the few in the System that deploys [Limbo Prime] to the Kuva Fortress consistently for the Taveuni mission and without the purpose of making others miserable. In recent updates, I am noticing more inconsistencies with frame invulnerability while in the rift. Here are the problems I have seen and been able to replicate, many times over: 1 - While in the rift, the companion for [Limbo] can pass freely through the [Cataclysm], as it should, to attack enemies suspended in the rift. However, once the companion leaves the [Cataclysm], it is back in the material plane and takes damage. This makes companions quite a bother, as it is essential that [Limbo] stays in the rift and controls the room. Note that animal companions do this. I have not tested it on MOAs (be them attack or utility). Since they are freely moving companions, I wager they have the same problems. Also, when a [Djinn] respawns with the [Reawaken] precept, it is spawned into the material plane even if [Limbo] is in the rift. Again, this makes the [Djinn] needlessly vulnerable. Would it not make more sense, in all instances, for the companion to remain in the same plane of reality as the [Limbo]? 2 - After dodging into the rift, I've noticed [Limbo] still takes damage from material plane sources. This is not a matter of a status effect that was applied to [Limbo] while in the material plane, before he dodged, and then carries over to finish its status damage while he is in the rift. No, this is worse. After dodging into the rift, material plane enemies can still target [Limbo] and apply damage. This does not occur every time but when it does, the bug is persistent. Dodging in and out of the rift a few times does not correct it and the [Limbo] has to hide somewhere until it stops taking damage. I strongly advise you to investigate these errors as they threaten the [Limbo] frame in overall function as a controller. With the upcoming change to [Banish], this should be handled before we see even more trouble. These errors were recreated with [Limbo Prime] so I cannot say if they can be consistently recreated with [Limbo] but given their functions are identical, I wager the errors are identical. Anti-Axiom Posted August 18, 2020 Share Posted August 18, 2020 there are some enemies that can damage through rift, and it's kind of a bug but stayed in the game for too long. As of now, the infested ospray things that carry power cells in excavation can damage through rift. And this becomes a major issue in arbitrations when they are being shielded by a drone and you can't one shot it immediately before it is able to hit the excavator. Before the kavat masters and napalm's aoe damage could hit through rift but those have been fixed. If the problem occurs in the new corpus space ship tile, then it's most likely another enemy with aoe damage. Other than that, I can't think of any way you can take damage when you're alone in the rift. I recently did a 1h+ solo survival in steel path mot, and died a lot, but those were all my own mistakes (forgetting stasis timer, not paying attention to nearby nullifiers, being too reckless and staying out of rift longer than I should etc) and also the pets going out of cataclysm to attack is really annoying, I doubt 10% of my mission time is spent reviving the damn thing lol.
