Missing drop -- DE support says too bad

(PSN)northern_rebal

Question

I watched the Twitch 3 times last week but only got 2 drops.  I'm missing the  Harrow neuro.  I put a support ticket in with DE and the response is basically "too bad".

The did give me instructions on how to make sure my account is linked properly (I guess they think it was linked for Tennoconn, was unlinked on Monday, but linked again on Wednesday, all without me changing anything). I got two of all the rewards from Tennoconn, so I know it's technically possible to give me the missing drop.

i know it seems I shouldn't be complaining about not getting free stuff, but I've put a couple of hundred dollars into the game this year, so I think I'm carrying my share of a "free to play" game.  You'd think that if they make a promise, that they would live up to it.

So, do I have any options?  anybody else I can escalate this issue to?

Well, I can tell you that the fact that you spent money does not entitle you to better service.

I can also tell you that this thread will more then most likely get removed, as the mods here on the forums typically do when a question that we cannot answer pops up.

As far as I know, there is nothing you can do about it, other then just go farm the part. It's most likely just a case of the stuff from Tennocon being mostly exclusive items to tennocon, and this being something you can get on your own. However only support can say for sure why they do what they do.

The responsibility comes to twitch detection if you have watched 30mins consecutively or not. Warframe is just the party receiving the data and deliver the drop ingame. And my experience tells me that twitch is not doing a great job on this matter.

The chance for receiving a manual drop is very slim. And I rarely see a successful case. The so called successful cases could also be just a delayed drop.

If this was a totally free game, than I might agree with you.  But this is a profit making business.  They made an offer and should be expected to fulfill that offer.  What would you think if you went to a store with a discount coupon, but they wouldn't honor it, without giving a reason?  Or went to McD's for the 2 for $5 deal, and they wouldn't give it to you?  Would you just say "okay".

But the game is totally free. You do not need to spend real money to get anything in this game.

This statement means DE should ignore you. It comes across like you believe DE has to pander to you because you spent money.

Yes, DE gave the second rewards out for logging in on Tennocon day. Nothing at all to do with watching the stream of it. They could give you the drop, but how can you prove that you watched the stream, and for the correct amount of time?
