ironmonk36
I have an idea for a new melee weapon. It's the Chain Shield. Inspired by Captain America and Rygar. It's an acrobatic weapon that has mid-range and short range attacks. The Chain-Shield is located on the right arm. It has a chain mechanism that quickly brings the shield back to the arm after an attack. The shield spins when idle and spins extremely fast when attacking (like a chainsaw). Basic Attack - A left to right mid range throw attack, followed by a left to right throw attack, the Warframe then does an acrobatic sideways spin which does one hit, then spins again and slams the shield into the ground. Holding Block Attack - A shield bash from right to left, then left to right, then a jumping uppercut, followed by a ground pound. Sliding Attack - The Warframe slides and spins throwing the shield out and does damage, but it also bring enemies in closer, the Warframe then plants the shield on the ground, goes upside down, then does a helicopter type kick. I wish I could animate it myself because it looks really cool in my head lol.
(PSN)LeBlingKing
@ironmonk36 Welcome to the forums. Usually, concepts for new weapon types go to the Fan Concepts subforum. Anyhow, I was intrigued by the idea and I decided to try my hand at a very rough sketch.
ironmonk36
Awesome! I dig it! Should I re-post it there or can I move it to that forum?
Tiltskillet
I was imagining a shield with a sharpened chain going around the edge, and was momentarily disappointed... But I actually love your idea too. 👍
